This is such awesome content. I've been looking for something to scratch that racing itch when I don't feel like racing and this is an awesome way to stay up to date on new stuff and hear the points of view of some talented iracers. Keep it up man!
I really enjoyed the last dented door segment ('the steward segment?') of reviewing various race incidents. Good way to learn some racing tips from you guys.
Great insights about the affect of simracing hardware on driver proficiency. Your insight about a steeper learning curve on getting up to speed using lower-end gear may be spot on. I also believe that the old fighter pilot saying can be applicable to simracers that, "It is not the crate, but the pilot/driver in the crate that makes the difference." You give a fast guy (i.e. Josh Rogers) some of the lowest-end consumer simgear and he will still beat the competition.
On the topic of bass shakers, I just last week got 2 50w transducers 1 under the seat and 1 under the pedal plate and wow... I didn't get them for time gains but the "immersion" and most importantly fun they bring to sim racing cant be understated in my opinion. I find myself staying in the rig for way longer and honestly my rig would feel dead without them now. For 215 Australian dollars including a cheap amp/soundcard ($150 USD) I think they are one of the best bang for your buck additions you can make to your rig.
Best episode yet Great topics and POV Regarding hardware, I’m right in the middle. Relatively new iRacing driver (3 months). Play 5-6hr a night on Friday and Saturday after work. TrakRacer TR8, fanatec CSL DD, 4 tactile transducers and iPad with SimHub, 3 LG C1 55in, 3090 blah blah :) No fancy fancy stuff except the screens but feels like a good balance. Been thinking about a motion rig and you convinced me to hold off. Plenty of rig for now and need to focus my time on practice at this point (not the gear to get ;))
Thanks James! I'm happy you enjoy the show! I agree mate, getting a motion rig to hopefully get a performance increase is just a big waste of money imo. Not to say it can't be great fun, but most of the one's I've tried didn't really get me there... Your rig is excellent, best thing you can do is settle into it rather then keep making changes. If you're eager to improve faster I'd say the best expense for your rn might be coaching.
@@DoriN12 I believe he meant to say the image is a 'mirror-image' if you look at the text on your shirt and microphone. I see this a lot with streamers. Maybe it is a camera setting?
Where are you guys??
Interesting conversation, subbed!

hey dori, how are you. are you doing more uploads? love the podcast!
The dented doors segment should be a part of the iRacing driving school. People can learn a lot from it.
lol, wouldn't that be awesome
Miss your Videos mate
yeah, my pedal pate now is 2x8040 profiles now :) threw out original Simlab EVO plate - that one flexes.
Hate when that happens. The pedal plate is literally the most important part of a ring imo, there's no excuse for it flexing...
Original plate 5mm thic was fine for V3s probably also OK for thrust master load cells, but more serious hw needs thicker stuff :)
My new favorite podcast
Thanks Todd!
Great episode again guys.
Thanks bud!
I'm guessing this video wasn't sponsored by Hertz based on your suggestion of drifting their cars :D Class stuff, loving this podcast guys!
NGL I listen to the first 40mins on Spotify and come here for the dented doors...
Some men just want to see the world burn...
Rumble kit is crucial, especially for non abs cars
Interesting that you think that, I know a lot of people that would agree, I'm still trying to get used to it tho...
Where’s the new episode guys? No rush but I need my fix :)
You guys talk like you're so old, now I feel ancient! 🤣
haha, Frank, we just feel old is all
Dorian, why is your image flipped?
It isn't, I think... lol

Seven seconds is easy.... Oh wait, we're talking about racing.
Drorian!!!
IT'S ME! I miss you buddy ❤

good hardware takes away some excuses for the lack of practice and skill, vr gets me up to speed so much faster, but it doesn't make me quicker
I've heard from several people that VR really does help you learn tracks faster, easier to locate markers etc'.
