You have such delightful energy and enthusiasm! I love how you spread your sewing joy over your whole family! As always…looking forward to seeing how things work out! You are always good at sharing tips and tricks as you create and that is so helpful! Happy sewing!
Great plans and fun fabrics Rachel. I watched the St. Patrick’s video before this one so I got to see some of your Spring Plans all made up! Fun…. Love Notions Patterns loves you - how fun to discover a pattern company that you love.
I can’t wait to see all your makes, your fabrics are so awesome. I would definitely watch Karina on Lifting Pins and Needles before you make the Whistler sweater. She walks you through the tricky parts and makes the sewing so much easier. Thanks for sharing.
Hello! I also have no stash. I purchase fabric matching it to the project I am planning to make. I love all the fabrics you purchased and can't wait to see all the finished garments. I am currently making some hanging towels for my daughter. It seem my 4 year old granddaughter , tosses her hand towel on the floor. So Grammy is making the hanging towels in teal, gray and white to match their bathroom. I just purchased patterns to make shorts and a cute top with a tie at the waist. The fabric for the top is a gold & white organic cotton. It feels so soft and cool to the touch. I'm having lots of fun in my sewing room!! Love your videos!! Happy Sewing!!
Woohoo fellow stashless friend 😉 I do the exact same thing!! The hanging towels are a great idea! I’m sure they will be very well received!! That fabric sounds wonderful!!! I’m interested in the tie waisted top!! So glad you enjoy the videos! Thank you so much for watching Linda
Fabulous plans Rachel. Thank you a great video. The fabric for your Frocktails dress is absolutely beautiful. Maraflex is a game changer, however i have had problems with it shredding in my machine. Happy sewing.
Great plans Rachel, that glue stick sounds a great idea! Still haven't tried the maraflex thread! Can't wait to see your frocktails dress and bag so sorry to be missing it! Hopefully next time!
Sorry you’re missing it too!!!! Absolutely next time! The glue is working so well! Definitely get yourself one.. and I’ve yet to try the maraflex… hoping it’s as good as everyone says
Yay so glad I could help with your Stella issues 🎉 Thanks so much for the mention and look forward to seeing all your planned makes, they’re all going to be fab 😊❤️
So many plans, I can't wait to see how everything comes out. You seem much more relaxed so I assume that the kids are well again and the job has settled out. You make me want to run upstairs and sew a bunch!
Love your plans. Your Joanie dress 👗 will be beautiful!! Great idea about the Stella hoodie alteration. Happy St Patrick's Day from Canada. I didn't realize you get a holiday, that's so nice. Have a great weekend with those cute very stylish children.
I am planning to make a Sloan Sweater too. I have my pattern printed and assembled but I have a little issue with my eye that I need to deal with. I think next week will be the day. All your plans look amazing. You have some lucky boys - such cute fabrics!
I’m sorry to hear you have a problem with your eye! Wishing you a speedy recovery so you can get back to sewing! I think the Sloan is next on my list 🙏🏻 thanks so much Lynette
Great video lovely fabrics can’t wait to see the frocktails dress I loved last years I’m sure this one will be just as nice. My husband loves the Jackson Tee / jumper pattern I have made him a couple in the past nice easy pattern.x
Thanks so much susan! Oh I loved last years dress!!! I’m hoping I have success with the Jackson! That’s great you’re husband likes it! Great recommendation
What great plans, Rachael! (Don’t you love $5 Fridays? 😂) it will be exciting to see your new makes. Thanks for pointing out PeekABoo patterns. I have some new babies and needed a nice romper pattern to suit a boy.
Such wonderful plans Rachael. I love the matchy matchy too and can’t resist making matching items for our boy and me and my wife too! Your Frocktails dress is going to be fabulous, I can’t wait to see the finished dress. Have the best time and also Happy St Patrick’s day for tomorrow 🍀 Also you had me cracking up at “who’s Fred?” 😂
How odd, spring must be 3 times as long in Ireland than it is in NZ judging by the amount of projects you have labled 'spring plans' 😂😂😂. You will be busy! But what an awesome bunch of projects you have lined up. I laughed out loud when you talked about your boys matching you... I can just see you in a shark/lightning bolt Hoodie to match them 😄. It's funny you saying the Tilly hoodie right at the start of the video is too roomy for you at the bottom hem.... I think it looks just like what I've been looking for! I'll go back and rewind so I know what it is called and see if I can find the book. So nice to have you back Rachael!
😂😂😂 spring can be loooong… or maybe that’s just me… I’m cold permanently so I don’t feel summer until it’s super hot 😊 I would love a shark hoodie 😂😂 The Tilly hoodie is lovey but I’m keen to try that alterations. It’s called the Stella Hoodie and it’s from her book “Stretch” it’s a really great book! I’d recommend! Thanks for watching!!
Great choices! Especially love the woodland romper and the boys' Easter jumpers. Cultural dissonance moment: by "jumper" do you mean a shirt? In the UK I believe a jumper is a sweater, but I've yet to learn all of the Irish names used by the majority of the population (allowing for geographic differences). The baby blue fabric is gorgeous and so versatile!
So when we say jumper I mean a sweater/sweatshirt. So heavier than a shirt or T-shirt. Usually we do have pretty similar terms between Ireland and the UK! Learning something new 😉 I’m pretty happy with the blue alright, I think it’ll be a nice accent to the others! Thanks as always!
I love your next makes the boys pjs fabric is so cute and your frock tails ensemble is going to look amazing xx
You have such delightful energy and enthusiasm! I love how you spread your sewing joy over your whole family! As always…looking forward to seeing how things work out! You are always good at sharing tips and tricks as you create and that is so helpful! Happy sewing!
Aw thanks Cyndy! Glad you enjoy the vlogs! I’m loving my spring sewing so far!!

I put a band on my Stella hoodie. I just added it on the bottom which makes it really cosy around the bottom. I love it. X
That’s great Sue! I’m sure it’ll make a massive difference to mine. I’m just not reaching for them. Thanks for watching
Yikes! Forget that full time job you enjoy. You are going to be sewing non-stop. Great fabric Rachael. Fun vlog

I’ll check her out! Thanks ann-elise! I’m loving Love Notions at the minute
What great plans, Rachael! (Don’t you love $5 Fridays? 😂) it will be exciting to see your new makes. Thanks for pointing out PeekABoo patterns. I have some new babies and needed a nice romper pattern to suit a boy.
Thanks Lynn!! Very glad to have shown you peekaboo! They have some lovely pieces! And how fun to have little babies to sew for 🥰
Such wonderful plans Rachael. I love the matchy matchy too and can’t resist making matching items for our boy and me and my wife too! Your Frocktails dress is going to be fabulous, I can’t wait to see the finished dress. Have the best time and also Happy St Patrick’s day for tomorrow 🍀

Thanks so much Katherine! Matchy-matchy all the way!!! For as long as I can get away with it 😉😉😉 happy st Patrick’s day!!! Fred says hi ☘️☘️☘️😂😂😂
We recently needed a new washing machine too. I pushed for a 10kg one. My husband has no idea it's for easy fabric washing 😂
Genius!!! 10kg.. love it! If I had space I’d have one machine for family clothes and one purely for pre washing 😂😂 poor hubbie 😉
Don’t get the see through elastic near your iron ,I forgot and it melted 😮
Oh wow 😱😱😱 thanks for that! That wouldn’t have dawned on me!!! Eek. Hope yours was salvageable!!
