We love the DC museums and zoo. We visited the baby panda when our 5 year old was an infant. While she was not old enough to remember the visit-proper, she loves seeing the photos in her baby book. More recently we took both girls for a wonderful tour of DC museums and story times. Can't wait to see more videos like this one, Marion. We'll definitely be back your way before too long! xoxo
@@MyJewishMommyLife Definitely national news. And my big girl likes thinking that she and the Panda at the National Zoo are the same age. It's very sweet. Glad you take advantage of the wonderful gifts that lie in your own backyard!
It's very nice zoo ... we love the zoo we get our season passes for 80 dollars for me hubby n our daughter Kimberly n our four grandchildren... for the year n we get to go in the stingray for free .. n are are parking is 5.00.dollars thanks for sharing nice tips;)
When we visit DC its incredibly refreshing to take public transportation and pay nothing for any of the museums. Mt. Vernon was the exception of a historic place we paid admission for (in Virginia) and it was SPECTACULAR with kids.
The Smithsonian Zoo parking is now $30.00. There's free side streets parking all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I think this does not always apply to the main street Connecticut Avenue.

Love DC! I used to live in Oxon Hill in the mid 70’s. Both of my parents are buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
Beautiful zoo and great tips! My kids would love the beaver area. Max with his little panda bear is so cute!

The Smithsonian Zoo's regular admission is free.
What do you get for the amount y'all pay?
Great video.
It would be nice if you could update this video when some other animals are put in the panda house.
