Cleveland took the year that Baker played with a messed up shouldered and decided that was the perfect reason to move on. EVERYONE who saw them play could tell that Baker had a messed up shoulder. He toughed it out and paid the price. Guess what's happened since he's been healthy? He's a top 3 QB this year...on a team that has played without their 2nd best WR for most of the year. The fact is that CLE is a SHIT organization. And they have been for a long, LONG time. CLE is where players careers go to die. And now Garrett wants out? SHOCKING. Cleveland has an OWNER/GM problem.
In baker's defense OBJ sabotaged him he was blamed for why his numbers were down once he got traded to the Rams and won a Superbowl Cleveland got sour of Baker and traded him
Worst decision in NFL franchise history. Guy breaks a 40 year curse and beats the steelers in the playoffs and is dropped a year later??? I don't understand how Cleveland fans didn't riot! Im a Jaguars fan so have no dog in this fight but i love football and it was cool to see Cleveland actually habe a good season. I still dont understand it to this day
I’m not saying Baker was clear cut baller at that point but there was no reason for the browns to get into a bidding war with themselves for el Nasty man. The answer didn’t have to be baker, but spending half a GDP on a QB fresh of a crippling scandal was truly something only Cleveland could do (tho the Jets would’ve tried their hardest)
They still would have traded Baker Mayfield despite what he did. They considered him too immature for them to keep. They would have gotten someone else to be their quarterback but probably not have had to pay a fully guaranteed contract to him.
He was great for the community. He had free football camp for kids in the Cleveland area. What does Watson do? Parents are afraid to have their daughters around him. The immaturity was media driven, because Buckeye alumnis were butthurt with the flag planting.

Omg. Loved this series back in the day. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m glad Mayfield found success elsewhere.
Respect to the Cleveland fans...
Not only is Bake a great QB,
He's grown into a damn decent guy
Ownership matters.
Still salty about one playoff loss? The Steelers have won how many Super Bowls? And yet they cannot shake the shame of losing to the Browns.
Honestly, it's the Browns he'd be outta the league by now.

Whatever this is it was fun

Baker is playing well because the team and ownership believe in him. The browns did not and that’s why it failed
Dave!
Browns always make the wrong move. Manziel, Watson, trade Baker, etc.
I like this guy
Sheik!

oh really, they told you that?
@MapleTombstoneMT3 They didn't have to. It was obvious what the Browns were thinking. Their actions spoke for them.
