Just to mirror your sentiment from yesterday's video. This is where actual 'fun' gaming is at. Its at this Indie level because it mirrors the industry from the 90s when the developers were passionate and only cared about making a good game, before big business took over. And its cheaper to boot, it really is win win.
Best of luck with your house Mac. I’ve been watching your videos since around 15k subs, it’s great to watch your channel grow! Mad no-homo love from Scotland 🏴
Couldn't agree more good sir. I do believe " The little ones" was sort of a part 2/ expansion, but I played them both to madness hence why I loved Prepper too.
@@Galottiful The game becomes very easy once you stop wasting inventory slots on scrap and wood when scavenging. Only loot higher value items like meds even if you don't need them, and then barter them when the trader comes for more scrap/wood than you could normally carry home. Profit.
Also if you dismantle something, you get the recipe to create it again. So take the fridge, scrap it, build 2 of them... one to replace it and one to put underground.
This game should've been named "Argentina". Everyone has 3 jobs to meet month's end, 2 of which are "illegal". All but the fancy house in the neat neighborhood, we don't have those.
And I agree with your comments last week about how great it is to find new indie games. I prefer trying indies rather than shoveling out big cash for another AAA disappointment. I’m an old man gamer from the 80s so the graphics don’t have to be perfect as long as the gameplay is compelling, and a lot of the games you’ve been featuring are like that. Thanks.
@@-Sceneshorts- well considering I've seen war and death in Afghanistan, I don't have to imagine what it looks like. I stay ready, and I'm in the military, so I'm not worried. Overreaching Government, famine, war, unrest...it doesn't take much to get folks to kill each other. I'm going to protect myself and my family. P.S. The US just wants a little bit of everything. We are seeing a generation of crybabies that want free stuff and want to steal from folks that work for a living so they can live comfortably and not work. We are seeing Government intrusion and now our Government is looking to circumvent our constitutional rights to pass a progressive agenda that expands the power and reach of government. We are facing a push to disarm Americans, silence them in the name of social justice and take their private property through means of taxation, pushing "green energy" and expanding urban development. We don't want to live together en masse, and we refuse to be forced to use public transit.
@@Christfollower89 It's absolutely hilarious that you say this new generation just wants "free stuff and steal from folks," as if you didn't just say you were in Afghanistan for the sole purpose of stealing from and terrorizing people.
Steam family sharing is handy for a lot of things (can't play the same game at the same time), saves you from sharing any passwords, etc and lets others utilise your library (was my chistmas present to a family member).
@10:34 why is it obvious you could not leave your computer on? You could put sleep mode on and use only around 10 Watts per hour or just leave it on and use around 150 watts per hour so if you left it running for 1 hour it would have cost you 3p........Are you saying you dont earn enough to spend 3p an hour?
I have literally steamrolled through this game. Had a bit of a "This war of mine" feel to it of which i was also a giant fan of. It is worth giving it a go people :) P.S. You're always the first one I check if I need a review on a game. No manipulative salesman B.S, just real talk. Keep it up good sir! 👊🏻
man you have this absolute knack for finding tucked away gems Mack. I'm a long time gamer and I'm constantly getting new ideas for games to play from you and my god have you found some excellent, excellent games for me to play! thanks for everything you do brother
Looks good and this really reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode from it's first ever 1960s series called 'Third From the Sun', set in a white picket fence Americana-style neighbourhood with a family man who's helping build a great number of nuclear bombs as part of a government project to prepare for a planned nuclear war, which the government and colleague (who spies on him) is very eager for. His only hope to save his family and his friend's is an experimental spaceship on the base, and a plan to steal it. It's a really tense, fun episode that's stuck with me for the sense of nameless menace the society has and all the little hints it drops. If this game has any of that feel then it's a very tempting one for me!
The original Twilight Zone is amazingly good! I watch the entire series all the way through 1-2x per year and it's never gotten old. Theme song was essentially a commercial for Fender pickups and amps but it's so good it doesn't even matter. There are a few misses in each season but for the most part it all stands up very well today, and when it's at its best it's legendary. There are so many bits from other shows like the Simpsons etc that I thought were original to those shows before watch TZ. This and the Hitchcock Presents series are psychological horror/existential dread at their finest
5 mins in and I don't need to see more. Also don't want to spoil it. I'm convinced yet again. This is giving me vibes of This War of Mine, which I'm also a big fan of.
Nice, reminds me a bit of "'This war of mine" but then playing with just one guy and prepping instead of surviving. I'd give it a try. Good to hear things are progressing nicely with the house. Cheers
Really hoping this comes to the Nintendo Switch, it is exactly the kind of game I enjoy playing in handheld when I'm winding down (and then I stay up too late when I should be sleeping). Reminds me a little of This War Of Mine, only far less emotionally draining.
Congrats on the house, Mack. All that hard work is finally going to pay off.
Yeah survey next Wednesday and should find out if I got the mortgage Monday :)

Mack is getting ideas for his IRL house.

Fallout shelter... but without real life bankruptcy
Exactly what I was thinking
They probably should have called this game "Prophecy".
This game looks like those prerendered mobile game ads you get on RUclips.
Its just insane that alot more indie games is more thought through than AAA games nowadays
Best reviewer on RUclips, good video Mac
he's liking games that are way too much of a grind recently
this game is too real
