Just subscribed. Watched the whole episode. Here are my advice: - Loot everything, then you can sell what you dont like, but leave some things to "dismantle" (such as silver items, or seashel) - If you really want to be able to use the potions and experiment that well, you want to be using a keybaord (the UI will change you will be able to use food water and potions with 3 easy keys) - try to pause walking sometimes to hear the npc talk, if you approach you could miss some talk, if you run away you could miss on immersive talks and you could learn things from listening to the people talking. - Before leaving white orchad (the region where you are) do all the side quests. Precisely do not talk to vesemir after you have fought a certain enemy in the region (you will now which), do all other side quests before. especially the swallow potion one. - All white dialogues are extra dialogues that you can run or ignore, please listen to it all. Yellow dialogues is for advancing quest. (This is true 95% of the time though). - buy all gwent cards from vendors even when it says (you already have one). you can ignore the rest. - To heal in game, you eat and get healing point per second, if you eat again it will not stack it will simply restart the timer. If you want double faster healing you are gonna want to get potions or skills such as "refreshement" (green skill) - dont forget to use witcher sens just next to water (it shows more chests in the distance then if you enter water and use witcher senses) - witcher senses usually show you close to you items, so you better use it eveverwhere. Also some loot do not show up (some broken trees in the wild have look but do not show up with witcher senses) - reread the text you got when you lost to gwent, it explained to you some strategies (you skipped it) - The side quests in this game are the best, you dont want to miss on them, we viewers will watch them all. Try to balance many things in one episode, you can fight you can read you can do quests, but most importantly you can roam the map just exploring, it is fun! Good luck in the path from an expert witcher 3 WATCHER of playthroughs.
Mine too, just played Dragon AGE VEILGUARD, and comparing it to the Witcher, particularly comparing the quality of writing is like comparing Kraft Mac puked by a rat to Wagu Steak or Fillet Mignon.
Brother I’m like 30% completion into the game and I can confidently say it’s the greatest game I’ve ever played as well. It clears RD2 and Elden Ring and Baldurs Gate 3 for me. I’ve never heard such great, clever, funny, and complex dialogue in a game in my life. 😂😂 it’s so good I don’t want to beat the game because I’ll never get to experience it again 😭😭😭
The main reason for as to why Geralt has white hair is because when he underwent the trial of the grasses to become a witcher, he was unusually resistant to the mutations so they put him through a bit more and the newer mutations turned his hair white. I love the Witcher lore, one of my favourite fantasy worlds.
@JadeJoob btw, idk if it was mentioned or not, but if you'll rewatch your footage, at the beginning when you're tracking yennefer through the battlefield there's this crow's head trinket that apparently falls somewhere around geralt and vesemir's camping site under yhe tree. maybe it's still there somewhere?
@@EasyGameEh It should be. I missed it back then but I went back later and I could still grab it. Don't know how it is when you progress too far with the story tho?
@@fraugoldt4766 since white orchard is accessible throughout the whole game you can do it whenever. however, idk if you can get the yennefer reaction if you miss it the first time.
You're in for something truly special, Jade. My only advice is to investigate all the question marks on the map / rumors you hear that you can. Some of the most amazing encounters in the game are side quests / points of interest.
Hello! I don't know if you read the comments but on the chance you do; I'll share some advice I give to every new player. This game is massive in terms of story and game mechanics, and there is a lot of frontloading of information. Try not to let your eyes glaze over when something is being tutorialized, (I did) make sure you understand before dismissing a pop-up message. The menu drop downs are there so you don't have to remember everything USE THEM, don't know who a character is -> use the character glossary, how to fight a monster -> the bestiary, where you are -> the map, what to do -> quest log, how to do something -> the tutorial. Using the menu saves a lot of headache. Also, I am immeasurably happy you get to experience this story. The Witcher holds a special place in my heart and if it affects you even half as much as it did me, you're in for quite the adventure. I hope you enjoy. Also Also: yay! you got the pan contract!
Hooray! Another Witcher 3 playthrough and another English accent 🙂 It IS big, beautiful, story-driven, but with a ton of mechanics and lore to get to grips with when you start. Expect to take 100+ hours. Take it slow, take things in roughly level-order, and trust the story to take you around the map and world. 'White Orchard' is just the first, tutorial-ish area. Again, welcome to the game, Trust the Story. Subscribed to follow your play.
Don’t know how long ago this was recorded or if you have finished your play through! But if you enjoy the game I would wholeheartedly recommend the DLCs Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Both are amazing extensions of the main game and does have some of the best quests. They are really seamless and adds a lot of content! Good luck on the path
"simulate witcher 2 save" allows you to pick options of what you would've done in the previous game. I love the game portrays people. Everyone has their own beliefs, their own perspectives and goals. The scholar from the academy doesnt realise he'll get himself killed, but he wishes to write his works from 1st viewing of the war. The inkeeper recognises that war has brought income to her trade but still wishes for peace instead of uncertainty. The Nilfgaardians tell themselves they are bringing civilisation to the savage Nordlings. Nordligs on the other hand want for independence. Everyone has something they want and something they believe.
I’m so excited for you to experience this world. The combat isn’t the most engaging but the writing and storytelling is really special. Don’t forget to explore as much as you can. Same with RDR2

Very important: purchase all Gwent cards you can find and win at least one game of gwent against all people that play gwent - whenever you beat an opponent you win a new card. It's important to build up your decks as fast as possible and train Gwent at every opportunity - the game has actually a lot of depth, way more than is normal for minigames in other games. Gwent is a really cool game in itself and has proven so popular in fact that CDPR made a standalone Gwent game.
For me, I think The Witcher and RDR2 are the standout games of this generation of consoles. I love The Witched and I encourage you to get deep into it as much as you can - there's a lot of information about the world, the history and lore that you can delve into as you play through. I think the game gets even better in the two DLC's Heartsa of Stone and Blood and Wine to finish off as well. Just an incredible time. Then you can give Alien Isolation a go and you will have ticked off my top three! :)
Welcome to The Witcher 3! I haved some tips for beginners to help them having the best experience with this game. May first tip is to think of White Orchard as a small (!) tutorial area. The last part of the main quest is to go back to Vesemir in the inn, and talking to him will start a cutscene after which you will leave the area. I recommend to do all the content (all the quests from the notice board, all the '!' and '?' (you can see them in a different map mode after you interacted with the notice board) before you move on. The most important tip is that the game isn't difficult, not even on death march difficulty with enemy upscaling activated. The only thing you need to learn to win the game is dancing with the monsters, preventing them from hitting you. The benefit of that is that you should play your Geralt like YOU want! What skills you pick, or what alchemy and gear you use, is only up to you! Witcher are like Jedi Knights, they just use alcohol instead of the force! 😉Alchemy is a massive part of the game, and while you don't need it to win the game I still recommend to craft all the alchemy whenever you can, read the tool tips and use whatever potion, bomb etc. sounds fun/usefull. That also includes buying herbs if you miss a few, because they are very cheap and you can do the alchemy while you are dealing with a herbalist or alchemist. The materials you need to craft gear on other hand are very expensive. I recommend to either craft them, or dismantle them. Any smith can turn your ores into ingots, can craft bigger leather parts using smaller one, or dismantle the ingots to get the ore back and break up leather. It is way cheaper that way. I do recommend NOT to dismantle actual gear, though, because it costs you twice: Not only is it not cheap to do that, but selling the loot you find will be the main source of your income as well. Some more QoL tips: You can only cast a sign when your stamina bar is full, rolling on the floor will stop stamina regeneration during the animation, just side stepping will not do that. So, if you can't cast as many signs in combat as you want, I recommend to side step more in combat instead of rolling to dodge attacks. Weight capacity can be really annoying, Saddles for example are a big weight trap, overall you shouldn't carry around any gear for you or Roach in your inventory if you don't have to. Sell your loot whenever you can or put it into your stash if you want to keep it instead. But, if you get the overburdened status effect, you can use a skill as an emergency button to be able to run around with Geralt again. It is one of the amber skills, but I do recommend to only activate the skill when you really need it, and deactivate it after you got rid of all the extra weight. Only if the skill is deactivated you can use the skill in another "weight emergency" again! 😉 I'm Team Gwent! 😉If you want to play this master piece of a side game (although, imo TW3 is the side game!), I recommend to buy all Gwent cards you can, because you need them to finnish the "Get all gwent cards"-quest. You need the hold the button long enough if you want to pass a round, and the Nilfgaard deck wins the round in case of a draw. I have some starting tips for Gwent as well, but this is already a wall of text, so maybe next time. 🙂
The main story is nice but W3 is famous for it's extremely well elaborated side quests. You just saw an example with this small frying pan quest, although you missed most of the story clues because you did not use witcher senses. If this is your first time playing W3 I would recommend to do as much of the side stuff as possible, because the first time is, well, the only first time when you play this game. Side quests mostly can be found on notice boards, but as you saw, they may appear also as exclamation marks on the map and there are also several other ways how they can appear. Last but not least: explore, explore, explore. Remember that game quest directions are not the only ones that you can take, they are just suggestions.
OOOH great choice. Don't forget to include the DLC's in the playtrough. Especially the DLC Blood and Wine. Its exceptionally good and it wraps the whole game up in a way that's unmatched. Imho it gave this game a perfect conclusion.
First time visiting your channel. I love the enthusiasm. I can tell you like the game thus far. Thanks for sharing the journey. Best of luck on the road. PS. Some say cats are not fond of witchers as they are the only 2 creatures (alongside dragons) that can detect magic. But I lean towards theory that Witchers are just soaked in the smell of monsters and death that animals such as cats dont like that very much. Might not get too many cats jumping on Geralt's lap, but at least we have our amazing horse Roach
That means so much to me thank you so much for joining me on this ride!! I am absolutely enjoying it so much so far!! And yes this news about the cats x witchers relationship is crushing my heart but you’re right at least I have sweet Roach!! 🥹🫶
Just got into it myself. The entire game with add-ons came with my PS4 Pro I got from a local pawn shop. Last console I owned was a super Nintendo so it's pretty amazing looking in comparison.
@qadi796 I completed everything and got all set armors plus the end game gear and it took me 140 hours I think? It could have been more but I enjoyed every minute of it. Good luck 👍
It's greatest game ever made I probably played it 200 or 300 times & each time I played it it was like my first time. Have fun! Green witcher Armor it the best in the game. Blacksmith & armor made sell witcher blueprint map's so look out for them
if you got back to Geralts camp by the tree at the very begining where he had the dream you will find Yens crystal bird skull where it fell at the intro
So the whole thing with Geralt is he went through more mutations then skeleton and lambert but the way to pull the mutation out of them they have to torture them they broke geralts Arma and legs and femur to get the restoration mutation to start then geralt started having brain hemmorages due to his eyes changing into the viper color and he was blind for a month and then his brown hair fell out and a couple weeks later his hair started growing back and it was white and now he's known as the white wolf and in this game he is 99 years old in the books he's 50 or 60
Cats don't like Witchers whenever u get close to a cat they will react like that. I can't tell more cause that will be a ' SPOILIER ' for a quest. Enjoy the journey ☺
Fun fact, cats don't like Witchers. Cats are very attuned to magic and like to sit or sleep on places with magical auras, and Witchers' aura really annoys them.
This is gonna be intresting, its crazy to think this game is nearly a decade old and there's no new witcher games since Sorta unrelated sidenote: Are you interested in playing Dragon age veilguard And have you played any dragon age games before?
@@justhaku9240 Yep played it 5 hours and I hate it. It’s not an RPG and it’s not Dragon Age. The writing is horrendous, combat is boring, and the amount of idpol screeching the NPCs do is nauseating.
@@crispy_338 look I was w you in full agreement w the writing and stuff you didint mention like facial animations, you dont like the combat that's fine I don't think it's bad although undeniably not dragon age combat, then you lost me with "idpol" I had to look it up, maybe it hasn't came up yet and will in these last 2 hours but objectively there's been not a single line of script screeching about that which makes me wonder where you got that idea, is it because a black person exists as part of the cast, or do you have a specific line for me that does that, because it sounds to me like you just fell for the culture war but im willing to listen if you wanna give me examples I even have the good faith to assume I havent gotten to it yet but I have my doubts
@ They literally have lines where characters come out as non binary to their parents, or verbally flagellate someone for not using the correct pronouns. There’s more to it than that but I stopped playing. That stuff has no place in video games, let alone fantasy RPGs that are supposed to be an escape from reality. Also yes the facial animations, voice acting, and overall art direction are awful. Amateur even.

Some more QoL tips:
You can only cast a sign when your stamina bar is full, rolling on the floor will stop stamina regeneration during the animation, just side stepping will not do that.
I'm Team Gwent! 🙂
Great stuff, thanks for playing and sharing it with us!
Thank you for watching!! 😊
@@JadeJoob thank you for thanking me 😂
Wohooo - awesome, I'm sure you're gonna have a really good time playing it!
So far I’m having a ball!! 🙌
I have never played this game before as well so this should be fun to watch 🥰
You really should. It’s incredible
OMG my favourite game ever ❤
i was thinking of playing this game again, but i might as well watch you
Oh i think you'll have beyond a blast with this game. It's Soooo good.
Just got into it myself. The entire game with add-ons came with my PS4 Pro I got from a local pawn shop.
Last console I owned was a super Nintendo so it's pretty amazing looking in comparison.
wooow i love this gamee hope you love it too!
Oh hell yeah
Im still in novigraad. im level 17 and have just been doing everything. It's so big and so much to do, i love it
@qadi796 I completed everything and got all set armors plus the end game gear and it took me 140 hours I think? It could have been more but I enjoyed every minute of it. Good luck 👍
@BigMoore1232 thanks, i just got thr cat armour at level 17. Really enjoying it
It's greatest game ever made I probably played it 200 or 300 times & each time I played it it was like my first time. Have fun! Green witcher Armor it the best in the game. Blacksmith & armor made sell witcher blueprint map's so look out for them
Man, I almost forgot how good the scripts and dialogues are at CD Projekt RED. This game is 9 years old.
There's so much to discover in this game.
Jade is playing The Witcher 3?!? HECK YES!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!!!
I don't know why I thought this was one of your first playthrough games lmao. Excited to be here!
Hahaha aesthetically it is SO up my alley but I’ve never experienced it before! So happy to finally play it!
Congratulations on starting the BEST game of all time.
if you got back to Geralts camp by the tree at the very begining where he had the dream you will find Yens crystal bird skull where it fell at the intro
So the whole thing with Geralt is he went through more mutations then skeleton and lambert but the way to pull the mutation out of them they have to torture them they broke geralts Arma and legs and femur to get the restoration mutation to start then geralt started having brain hemmorages due to his eyes changing into the viper color and he was blind for a month and then his brown hair fell out and a couple weeks later his hair started growing back and it was white and now he's known as the white wolf and in this game he is 99 years old in the books he's 50 or 60
Im lvl 22 so far, realized that the key for fighting is to spam dodge, if you make sure to dodge pretty much you are invencible
Unfortunately cats hate witchers canonically, they will always hiss at you.
*sobs violently*
@@JadeJoob Try using Axii on them
i am enjoying this so far new here, lots of witcher experience, please use ur witcher senses more lots of loot around
I really hated playing Gwent at first, once I learned got addicted to it.
Best game ever
I would also try Witcher 2
Hi Jade hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Good luck, don't let anyone dictate your decision making, follow your heart ♥️
That is so kind thank you ❤🥹
Cats don't like Witchers whenever u get close to a cat they will react like that. I can't tell more cause that will be a ' SPOILIER ' for a quest.
Enjoy the journey ☺
"sick haircut!" i choked on soda, thanks
It was fiiiree 🔥
"Why does everybody like this game" i was thinking before i tried it.
I swear there's nothing else like it, my favorite
Play this and then check Veilguard. A HUGE difference in writing and storytelling. Where have the good writers gone?
Fun fact, cats don't like Witchers. Cats are very attuned to magic and like to sit or sleep on places with magical auras, and Witchers' aura really annoys them.
Have you read the books?
Most have no idea about the Witcher past the show
Nope I’m not a reader but I am so excited about going in blind and experiencing it all fresh with you all!!
This is gonna be intresting, its crazy to think this game is nearly a decade old and there's no new witcher games since
Sorta unrelated sidenote: Are you interested in playing Dragon age veilguard And have you played any dragon age games before?
Veilguard 🤮
@@crispy_338 Can you elaborate on why you hate it? I am 2 hours in and the reviews seemed great, have you played it?
Your frame rate seems to drop during animations, maybe play around with settings.
cause cutscenes are locked to 30 fps
Fun fact - Jade kinda looks a bit like Ciri
🥹🧎♀️🙇♀️
WWWWWW
Once you will get past the stiff animations and clunky movement and the combat mechanics you’ll sure will be in love with this game
After the game and even without the book. You will see why the netflix version is a terrible iteration of the franchise.
1:00:47 The cat is afraid because it smells the blood of monsters from you.
Me: immediately stops playing this game.
Jk I won’t but I am V SAD that cats don’t like me in this 😭😭😭
55:15 Oh yeah and it is just as fun as Queen’s Blood! Maybe even more.
