One tip about conversations: the white options give you extra conversation, and the yellow options push the conversation. Dialogues in The Witcher are usually interesting and funny. So I recommend listening to all the conversations. Have fun, it's one of the best games ever created.
Eating more will not heal you more, just wait till the healing effect is over before eating more to heal more. When you swim it is a good idea to check with your witcher senses while you are still on the surface, because their range is much longer compared to using them while you dive. The crossbow can shoot down flying monsters (Aard can do the same), and can be used underwater. Funny though, how you ignored the notice board so far! 😉
Crossbow doesn’t do much damage BUT it’s great for making flying enemies fall from the sky, also works for killing some monsters underwater, since you can’t use your sword! Btw some side quests are actually missable if you progress too far in the main story (but it should give you a warning, otherwise you can just reload a previous save). Lastly the autosave can be really unforgiving at times make sure to save the game before facing big bosses so you don’t have to walk back 10 minutes if you would die. But it should do a save after any major event so you don’t have to worry about beating the same boss twice.
One tip I can give is that exhausting all the grey dialogue options can sometimes unlock stuff during quests or give you some valuable information that you might miss.
I'm still on part one so I'm not sure if you have found this yet, but there are a couple of settings that you might wish to take advantage on. Starting with the map, if you switch the filter to all you will see ? On the map in several places, these are places of interest, guarded treasure, monster dens, places of power. You would want to visit all of these as they usually have alchemy recipes, gear, or even skill points available. On the point about alchemy, once you start crafting oils (potions you apply to your swords to make them more effective against certain types of enemies, in the gameplay settings there is an option to auto apply these oils if you have them available. Finally in the gameplay menu you can change camera settings, you can be closer to your character in combat or slightly zoomed out (helpful when surrounded by creatures) see which one works for you.
The starter tipsi would give, is look in your inventory from time to time, and make sure you have the swords that do the most damage equipped. Also, use the Igni fire spell in comsbat often; it's good for adding damage to your enemies.
@JadeJoob now you gotta use it lol, watching episode 4, it's equipped but you're not drinking it for your vitality, you can hold Dpad to switch from one to the other you got equipped
if you go to the cemetery there is Forian grave with some inscription , there also is a reference to the lord getting angry and killing people when chasing the wraith by the well the witcher 3 keep doing that , all the stories ties with each other
Should use your mini map more to figure out where to go 😊 big yellow arrow around the outside will point in the right direction. The dotted line in the mini map will show you the exact route to take to your current tracked objective. Yellow circles on the map will show where you should be looking in the area. Saves opening the world map all the time.
You really need to be careful about this game Jade. It's easy to lose a few hundred hours just on the main story. One of the best-written games ever. Hands-down.

We’re getting spoiled. RDR2 and Witcher 3 lets plays in the same year 🤙🏻

You really need to be careful about this game Jade. It's easy to lose a few hundred hours just on the main story. One of the best-written games ever. Hands-down.
Look for places of power to get 6 free level up points in white orchard it will overpowered there's 6 in every map
this thick fog reminds me of morrowind. i dont remember ever seeing it in my game though, probably a next gen thing.
