Just wish they added a cloak in game. The mods are cool, but I'm not going to use something that is constantly clipping through the cloak. Surprised no modder has mad one with the swords on the back of the cloak so clipping is less of an issue

Are you saying that the mod that allows you to have a cape, or the one that changes the appearance of Quen, should make us want to replay the game? Most of the mods you present are graphic mods. Are you saying that adding only visual elements is more important than improving the gameplay? That’s ridiculous. The only mod that should really make you want to replay the game is a mod like W3EE Redux. These are mods that truly allow you to rediscover the game from a much more realistic perspective.

It’s the wolf armor set you have to do some treasure hunts for it and he dyed this armor black you have to either find or craft it as far as I know you can do that once you’re in Toussaint

Hey man, I have some questions regarding thr Sword on Hip mod:
Some additional information before my questions:
- I'm on version 4.04a. This info is provided since the comment section on Nexus is riddled with people having issues on Next gen
- I'm having an additional mod called Firearm Belt holster next gen. This thing technically doesn't work since it's supposed to modify the firearm to "pocket" section so you can use both gun and crossbow in radial menu, which it doesn't, but its sub feature, hanging the firearm by the left hip, still works (most of the times).
So my questions are:
1. Is the mod (and its sub mods, the more sword on hip and sword on cloak) still works as of 4.04a?
2. Does this mod work properly in cutscenes, heard a lot of ranting on this issue on Nexus.
3. Will this mod conflict (the kind that script merger can't do anything) with aforementioned Holster mod? If it does, should I delete the Holster mod?
4. Is the sheathing animation custom and does it in anyway screw with gameplay and cutscenes?
I have no idea. That’s something you need to troubleshoot. I use the latest version of the game. I use tw3 mod manager and then the script merger to merge everything together

I best this game 3 times. Almost in a row. Didnt move from my couch for a whole summer. Been trying but can't seem to scratch that itch again.
Read the books if you haven't yet, they are really awesome and will absolutely return that itch. They'll also make you love the game way more. I finally read them a few years ago, after already playing TW3 several times, and they completely renewed and deepened my love for the game.
If you struggle to sit down and read, the audiobooks are also really really good.

Mod merge have 5 unresolved conflicts its crazy to configure it
The script merger fixes any conflicts for you. Unless you’ve added some other mods

I've installed every single mod in this list successfully, except swords on the hip which for some reason doesn't seem to work. The mod shows up ingame and has every setting on the menu but none of them seem to work. I've scouted the internet looking for a solution but haven't found anything neither on nexus official mod page and reddit, maybe you know something :/

Same here, I simply got tired of trying to get that thing to work. We have software that autoinstalls mods but for that shit I need to go copy and paste all over the files. Great mod, but not worth the headache imo
This game is an absolute nightmare to mod. I’ve been trying for weeks trying damn near every method. IM DONE. The game was $10 when I bought I’d rather just uninstall than deal with this bs.

@@ItsDeepz_ I did and i installed it with "Mod Manager" too. Changed the files etc. copy and pasted them into the right folder, but at some point i get a permanent script error even if i merge them together. Dont know which mod is doing it, but 1 mod is destroying everything. Have to see and come back to tell you which one it is
"Swords on the Hip" doesnt work anymore btw. Im playing next gen version
@@xPerfects That's because some of the mods aren't up to date. Before downloading, check when they were last updated. If it has been updated for the 4.01 patch, you should be good to go. Sword FX will give you script errors and Roach will be invisible aside the mane and tail
i installed the swords on the hip and more options mod for it but when i change to a certain preset or manually change my swords it doesnt show it on geralt. did you experience the same?
You have to read the modpage carefully and mess with the settings it is finicky

He didn’t mention W3EE Redux either, even though this mod provides a real interest in rediscovering the game. It seems that a mod that modifies Geralt’s eyes is considered more interesting in terms of replayability..
Where do you find the sword preset menu? May sound dumb, yes but I've scoured everywhere on the pause menu. Script manager isn't picking up any issues with my game, followed the steps correctly to my knowledge and yet nothing

how come certain mods like Combo Blood are not downloading from nexus? it shows an Internet explorer E beside the file??? instead of a zip folder. and when i open it it just refreshes the page? I got the critical slow motion redux mod to download just fine and can unzip it too. if you happen to know what im doing wrong please help. thank you again
Try right clicking, open with, and pick the zip program
Had to download a different unzip file... I got that to work. I've extracted. Iv copied over to correct locations. I load up the game but don't see a mod section in the options area? Sorry to keep bothering you with this...

Reading the requirements for the mod you want and following the instructions
Don't let it intimidate you. You don't need to know anything special. It's actually very easy and quick to learn. There are a lot of videos here on RUclips that will get you started.
Also, you can't permanently damage your game with mods. The worst that could happen is you'd have to reinstall the game, and that's no big deal. Just be sure you check that the game is launching properly between installing each mod. That will help in case a mod does break the game, you'll know exactly which one did it.
Why not mention Geralt first person that is the most important one. This really makes the game feel more alive and imersive. I have never been a fan of third person just does not feel right and combat is awkward and clunky. This is why Skyrim has been so successful
