This is one the best reptile vids ever wow never would think a priest is sitting there with all those reptiles and his enclosures and care is shown in the vid👍🏾🙏🏾
As a catholic I’m glad this video was put out there. Most priests are super cool and humble, the kind of guys who love to share knowledge. It’s not fair they get a bad rep due to some evil individuals. Despite our different beliefs here in the comments I can say without a doubt that we all love this planet and all the beautiful creatures that live here and that’s dope. ✌️
I love how he customizes his setups to mimic the animal’s natural habitats! And it’s really neat how much he knows about all of the cultures and languages in their natural regions :)
I love how not only does he customize their setup to be similar to the native lands, but also he also giving plenty of space for them that's more than the "minimum" recommendations that so many just default on.
This is really nice. Not only entertaining but your also giving a glimpse of the father's life. I think a lot of people think they have no life besides the church..very good video..
This is one of the most beautiful and well done animal rooms I’ve ever seen. Congratulations sir! You must have had Devine inspiration or a huge amount of talent and patience to have created something so lovely.
He definitely knows what he's doing and has done a ton of research and dedicated so much of his time to his animals. It's amazing and inspiring to see. I love to see people with so much passion for aquariums/fish and reptiles. His set ups are incredible! He all around seems like such a chill and nice guy.
Wow! Father Carlos has such an amazing collection and I love how he sets each home up perfectly!!! Def a new sub to see more! Thanks for an amazing video!
Got my red eared slider 3 days ago, have watched pretty much every video you and many others have on proper care for them. She started eating and swimming around her tank day one, got her a nice 40 gallon tank with a 75 gallon rated filter, and was finally able to get a water heater that works! Was so worried she hasnt been basking, was just trying to stay patient knowing this is common in new homes for the turtle. Yesterday she finally started doing it! I was so excited and even let her have my room to her self all day so i didnt scare her down😂 your videos have helped so much in making me feel confident im doing things right, really appreciate you helping me and my turtle tina!
@@TheTurtleGirl Yup! As an Anglican priest, I can confirm. It can be a hard job, and hobbies are awesome as a break from the realities. I have 1 dog, 4 cats, 9 fish tanks. And an art journaling hobby too. 😁
@@pjp9383 Good on you sir. Always a pleasure to see someone enjoy gods little critters. We have a protestant pastor who is a fervent player of D&D. I have seldome seen a more inspiring and fun paladin played.
Wonderful setups, I'm always striving to do better for my animals and this was great for inspiration. Great work! You can really see how much love he has for his hobby!
After literally months of research, I just got a turtle. His name is Oscar. Thank you so much for all of the info. Im glad that i found your channel, bc its turtley awesome!
I kept my leopard geckos together as well. They'd go on hunger strikes if they weren't housed together and seemed so sad when apart. Much more active and happy while in the same enclosure. My male got sooo sad and depressed after the female died. She was the boss, but also they were a retired breeding pair. Took him a year to get over it and back to himself. He sadly passed from tumor behind his eye that developed. Had him for about 10 years and her for 6-7. They were already 6-7 when I got them.
nice to meet you Father Carlos. what an amazing collection of nature in your home. Turtle girl, thanks for this tour and sharing. and you are growing up so fast
That leopardgecko enclosure is like half the size of a typical european setup, but you guys are so impressed lol. But I also got to say that I like his approach and the job he did with keeping the interiors as authentic as possible to the region the animals are coming from. And the names.. that's a cool idea.
Fr. Carlos KILLING THE PET ENCLOSURE GAME! LOL All of his setups and tanks are amazing. I asked him on his Instagram where he bought the plastic enclosure from because I though it was an enclosure for sale that I had never seen before. He told me he made it and I was like 🤯. The one where he keeps his red-eye tree frogs in. I am going to have to try to make one someday.
@@TheTurtleGirl yes it sure is. And by the way I did get the fulval fx4 canister filter. It works wonders for my 40 gallon breeder tank for my painted turtle 🐢
Key word is space, a lot of animals that are semi-agressive usually aren't when in a large enough space. However, people think a 10 gallon footprint is standard for a leopard gecko and then think a 20 is a mansion. This man has 2 leopards in what is about a 40 breeder, not too many people would do that
He is the coolest priest ive ever seen, im not catholic but was cool to see someone of the faith be interested in this hobby, they do have a life outside the church...great video, thanks for sharing
Wow, this mirrors my little ‘collection’ ten years ago in my fam’s old house. Almost exactly. Such a great mix; and plants, with setups that are (I’m assuming) bioactive, everything flowing! ☘️🌞🐍
I miss my axolotls, they're such fun animals to take care of. Sadly the summers are way too hot and I couldn't keep the water cool enough. I remember having tons of frozen bottles in the freezer and i had an aquariumcooler.
I just got my turtle a log hide which comes in a few days,I didn’t think about it but I just realized is it ok for the log to go underwater?or should I put it on his basking area
@@TheTurtleGirl I seen someone with the same log hide and they put it underwater and it would just float and not sink,is there anyway I could get it to sink
Awesome vid! Love all the beautiful animals! The tortoise is adorable! Maybe for the Green Tree Python, "Api" is a good name, it means fire in Indonesian, and he has those beautiful fire-like colors. 🔥
He should name the green tree Gila which mean crazy in Indonesian! I absolutely love this guy! His enclosures are on point! They are soooo pretty and I love how much throught he puts into each enclosure! Does he have a youtube channel? I would love to see more of him!
While the video, him, and his pet room are all amazing, his female panther chameleon does need some husbandry changes ASAP. She needs a T5 HO Arcadia 6% (replace yearly or when the readings are cut in half) or Zoo Med 5.0 (replace every 6 months or when the readings are cut in half) linear UVB bulb approximately 8-9” away from her basking branch (with the heat and UVB bulbs on/above the screen top) for a proper basking UVI level of 3 (if he doesn’t have a Solarmeter 6.5 to check), more foliage to add more drinking surfaces, lessen stress, and provide more humidity pockets and hiding spots, along with clean, uncirculated water via misting, dripping, and cool-mist fogging at night (optional but is amazing and naturalistic!), and she NEEDS a proper lay bin (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)! The Chameleon Academy (he’s on RUclips and has an INCREDIBLE website) and The Chameleon Forums (website) have the most accurate and up-to-date information on chameleons, along with lots of help if needed to explain why things have to be a certain way, and more! I’d definitely suggest for him to check them out, along with Much Ado About Chameleons (website), Petr Necas (he’s on RUclips and has a website), and Neptune the Chameleon (she’s on RUclips), which are all great resources with accurate and correct information, as well!
