Its a shame that the discourse around Project Stigma being too complicated overweights how cool of a concept it is. Its unique that it answers the long question how to deal with Honkai in a way that only Honkai couldve done. Even if it borrows elements from EVA. Also what Homu said in his comment is important too. The Project can be understood, and was explained, on multiple levels. Just getting the fundamental idea behind it is more important than the how character XYZ tries to explain it. As complicated and crazy it sounds and looks, if you look at it in layman's terms, Project STIGMA is more like a glorified scheme of a well-intentioned but misguided villain: creating a world without pain, loss, and sorrow, in exchange of humanity's free will being erased. Sure, anyone can compare Project STIGMA with Instrumentality from Evangelion, the ultimate goal for Law faction in Shin Megami Tensei, Takuto Maruki's Actualization from Persona 5 Royal (side note: Maruki's Japanese voice actor also voiced Kevin in HI3), or even Madara Uchiha's Moon's Eye Plan from Naruto. The flag may be different, but the methods and goals are the same. No conflict, no infighting, but people will have no emotions and no sense of self. This was an amazing explanation, I finally understood all the loose terms flying around. But if as MEI said, Honkai is the result of a civilization becoming a united will or a singular being, and the power of Finality is that of Time, could it mean that when Project Stigma succeeds in fusing humans into Adam Ruhami, they somehow go back in time with the power of Finality , and become the Honkai? That could kinda also mean that Project Stigma is the true birth of Honkai and started the whole problem in the first place. This is just a theory

If Adam Ruhami was to realized then that would be the closes the Civilization of this Universe can be to the Honkai. This should help more people better understand what's going on, cuz while it may look simple and reused ideas at first glance, these concepts are more complex and well tought. All the text in the chapters isn't for nothing and while i do understand this kind o story is not for everyone, i do hope more people enjoy thinking about it. I think the best way to understand some of the difficult concepts on honkai is to think it as the abstract conclusions that fiction characters from fiction worlds (hi3 made by mihoyo) reach from trying to understand deeply their own existence. Even the imaginary tree and all the concepts explained around it as the base of hi3 universe are quite similar to the creative process, how ideas come to life and are left behind in our own mind. We can see in imaginary space a mihoyo mug and a pen tablet. It may be hints at the idea that this is the creators own imagination where things are taking place.

Well put. However one small issue 13:07 Honkai doesn't want to destroy reality. It wants to turn it into imaginary because honkai itself is first human civilization (my interperation) that ascended to imaginary singularity. Which for humans means not destruction but Project Stigma. So literally project stigma is doing what honkai wants to do but can't because it's message gets distorted through some dimensionality problems. This is what embrace is.

a few questions that I have after doing recent chapters are: -What are Signets and their power/nature? -Who is AI-chan and where does she comes from? -Who is Grey Serpent? -If the nature of Honkai is like what being said in the video, how did they "seal" honkai on the moon in APHO? Do they trick the Honkai by making a new "reality" on the moon and attract them, or APHO is not a reality anymore? -What is the Great Eruption? or Which one is it? If someone can answer these questions, I would appreciate it a lot
1. Signets, like in the game mode, are marks that belong to the Flame Chasers and offer bonuses and power-ups in ER. I'm not that sure about their function in reality. They seem to serve more as marks left by the FC inside Mei's mind to symbolize that the Flame Chasers acknowledged her as a worthy successor for the Authority of the Origin in the New Era. 2. She is a being born from a pseudo-time-crystal created from Project Stigma's distortion of reality. It is a difficult concept to explain. Think of her as a being that has seen all possible futures of Project Stigma and now tries to help the main cast. 3. GS is Mobius' creation from PE in an attempt to create an artificial lifeform. It seems to be some lifeform that is the product of biotechnology, that has multiple different bodies, each of them being a separate entity with its own personality, that are connected together through some mental network. 4. APHO is 100% real. We don't know yet for sure since Ch 35 is not out yet. But AE's plan is to make Kiana into an artificial Herrscher of Finality and use the Second Generation of Selene to Seal the Honkai on the Moon. The exact details of the plan will most likely be revealed in the next chapter. 5. The Great Eruption seems to refer to a cataclysmic event that caused great destruction and ended up with the sealing of the Honkai on the Moon. In other words, it's most likely the events of the current arc.
As a player who started in an awkward spot in the ongoing story chapters. I do not understand a thing on whats going on right now but i always like how you explain stuff like this which helps me alot. Looking forward for more!
We are experiencing essentially the end of the "Honkai Impact the 3rd - Part 1" storyline here so I highly recommend to abandon the present chapters (at least story-wise) and begin from ch1. Otherwise you won't likely be able to get all those emotions this game exists for.
@@Akizathegoat I do believe that it is the ending of the story of the 3rd Honkai Impact. It is part 1 of the ending of the story though. The game has been ongoing for about 6 years or a bit more and Mihoyo has a bunch more games that are slated to be released that tie in with Honkai Impact, most notably Honkai: Star Rail.

I'd like to see another video on the subject of "What is Honkai?", but this time after the Chapter 34 (so we'll definitely have all info we can get) and answering the question in perspective. Meaning, to analyze how the understanding of the meta-world of Honkai Impact 3rd by us the players have changed as the story unfolded.
I feel like people are forgetting that Kevin is still affected by Aponia's Discipline (among other things), similar to the Cocoon members who killed Rin. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Then again, this could've been changed by now.

At first I was really cringing on project stigma turning into some shonen manga endgame bullshit but after the latest chapters it's actually really fascinating and thought provoking. Also if you enjoy the concept of dreams check out rukkadevata and the sumeru archon quest of genshin impact
So basically, Project Stigma is Kevin/MOTH's way of going "if you can't beat them, join them" with regards to the Honkai and tranforming humanity into an existence similar to it so that they won't be destroyed by the Honkai's embrace. It'd be a pretty inspired plan if not for that pesky little detail of killing most of humanity in the process. Another interesting thing here is that Kevin seems to _want_ the heroes to stop Project Stigma. Though he's made a grand show of making speeches and fighting them a few times, he hasn't done much to truly stop Kiana and co. and either spared them or left the work to his subordinates (who also seem to betray him or help the heroes half the time anyway, with him still not doing much about this either). Perhaps he's also been infected with the so-called "baseless" hope of the new era and believes they could succeed where he once failed, even if only subconsciously.
For me, the explanation of Project Stigma was simple in game, its a dream world, simple as is it gets. But the reasoning behind it well, once I made a conclusion, a lot of things in the story and universe just clicked. We were fueled by the terms Quantum and Imaginary, it never was the true scientific meanings, Imaginary meant actual imaginations. That's why the Honkai was so unpredictable, practically the idea of fiction itself was against humanity so to fight it Project Stigma used humanity's collective fiction. Herrschers are just the imaginary transforming reality, that's why they at the start controlled fundamental laws of physics then became more esoteric in their powers. Its why the Herrscher of Reason is so theoretically powerful, it power lay not in the technology humanity has built, but what humanity could think of, it makes the imaginary reality. Also, Project stigma is kinda like the Final Sanction in Doctor Who and the Aethrophasic Engine in Stellaris, doesn't have anything to do with what I just said, just thought the comparison was close.

And my question (the most interesting to me) what will happen to people in dreams? Will they stay there forever or will their souls perish, becoming fuel for Adam? Will the forms have consciousness (like Hare), or will they be like static ideas, in the sense of a false humanity, unable to develop further? (I understand that this is not so, because the idea is to separate civilization from humanity so that it can live separately, as they said in the game, and, of course, the forms will be reasonable and will be able to develop further, but I want to get an answer to make sure for sure. ) Thank you for your work, Captain! And another very important question: Will people with an awakened stigma live among Forms?
The game implies that the "dreams" are only temporary and as they fuse into the Spiritual Adam, individual human consciousness will be lost. So yeah, people will die in a happy dream. As for how will the "new humans" function... it's hard to tell. First, we know for sure that the Seeds of Ideas are only able to repeat human ideas but not produce any of their own. Hare says that after Project Stigma is complete, that's not the case anymore, implying that they will most likely be similar to a real human after, just that they will be born directly with a sense of understanding of their own existence. There are also other instances when different characters emphasize that Forms will continue to develop new ideas on their own. Now, I don't think that their way of existence will be entirely the same as "old humans", since we are more than just ideas. Chapter 34 has a whole discourse in which the main cast argues that what Forms represent isn't the humanity they "know". So, to give you my final thoughts, I think that they will be able to continue generate new ideas, but their fundamental way of existing will not be the same as the "old humans". Also, yes, they mention that Stigma Awakened will be able to exist in this new world.

You have no idea how much this helped me. I have literally been banging my head against the wall while playing through ch 33 and all the bs they are explaining. I smhw was able to get what they are trying to say when I digested the story slowly, but god, it was painful. So much confusing explanations and pointless comprasions made ch 33 one of the worst ones I have played through in the game. Your explanation is welcome, because I don't think any casual player would even understand half of it.

One thing I didn't fully understand: How I supposed to imagine the result of the completed Project Stigma as an outside observer? e.g A completly empty planet whitout phisical beings, since they exist a higher layer (as consciousness)? Then what about that 1% who can awaken their stigmata and basically survive the Project stigma's wiping method?
Honestly, I can't give you a straight answer to that question since we have no idea. I would assume that reality will be somehow merged with IMG Space and the "new humans" will be able to create spaces similar to the main hub of Project Stigma from Ch 34 to live. As for people that are Stigma Awakened, they need to find a "space" that suits them; either a remnant of the old world like The Deep, or a stigma space that allows their existence like the Kaslana Stigma Space for people like Dudu, Kiana and Theresa. This is just my guess though, as I said, they don't really expend upon this.
If I'm remembering correctly, there was a line from hare (I don't remember the exact words) that basically said that the old humans will become fiction and fiction (Ideas/forms) will become reality; So the world would have physical beings (Ideas/forms) as well as the stigma awakened, If I'm remembering it right and not misinterpreting. Hence why stigma awakened were sent to the moon so they didn't get involved in the swap.
I would be interested in hearing a video on your opinion of whether Mobius is alive in current era. There are so many breadcrumbs left by mihoyo regarding the possibility of her still being alive. Which has not only been dropped across chapter 32 & 33 with lines from Grey serpent, Hare and Prometheus. But also gradually small bits and pieces scattered all across from Elysian realm and it's logs, chapters with theater of domination, early sea of quanta chapters, Griseo's paintings, structure of World serpent, aswell other lines from people like Raven. This is something i have seen debated many times on both sides and never gotten a real answer. Because mihoyo keep giving small hints of it but never pulling back the curtain. Which strikes me puzzling as mostly i have enough ideas to facilitate this concept but if it would be true I would imagine Mobius would be reintroduced during project stigma as well - that is her core aspect. Outside of project stigma it is hard to imagine what Mobius would be doing in current era if she would be alive. I would like to make a video myself about this topic but i have never done such a thing. So hearing what you have to say would be interesting too.

Would make more sense. Just like how Otto's plans has been revised to use the Imaginary Tree, instead of the 'Soul Transferring' ability of the Herrscher of Death, which was what he originally was going for. It would fix inconsistencies in the plot.

Thing is, honkai is genshin in the future. each impact is like a world changing nuke.. its the reality collapsing. The hillichurls and stuff in genshin and genshins impacts were the archon wars and stuff did strange time and realm travelling stuff. Which is why theres that world tree and these travellers popping up and they're like oh yeah theres other realms out there.. those arent different worlds but realities. its microcosmos number of pocket dimensions. Its a bit like wizards pocket dimensions in forgotten realms DnD or ygdrassil vikings lore. The honkai scifi future the more they tried to kill off the evil invaders like hillichurls the more they realised it was only getting worse and huge reality shifts/impacts were bringing more next level hilichurls/honkai after each impact. The reason is somebody damaged their reality so in scifi cyberspace future they understood other realities and cool next level people were around. but is it future them? alternate them? their same reality but a piece of it? they built reality seeds and grafted to reality as a cyberspace new lets all go live in that place. but something prevented it from completing in time and they had to jump inside out of their reality into a false one. Overseer Otto and the archives is like both a prison warden and the evacuate and keep these people safe preserve civilization guy and task them all with it over thousands of years knowing without their reality seed being stable they either find a way to defeat the source of honkai which is why durandal was seeking help from the sweets land by tearing holes in time and space. I actually have a question. I thought the last Herrscher destroyed everything and thousand years later humans returned because of the efforts the previous era made. But Kevin sad to Hua, that they lied. Did the last Herrscher 'reset' the era? Are the Himekos basically the same person, just with changes because the pioneers changed stuff through their maddling? That really confused me...

This is a great video coz the game does have problems explaining the project. It has some aspects that are related to Plato view, the world of senses and the word of essence. Kinda interesting coz they use the concept of memes (as Richard Dawkins described them) as the main aspect of existence
After these chapters, I've been thinking a lot about the current events and past stories. The fact is that, I didn't catch up the story completely, yet I feel like, the Honkai's writers are amazing, but at same time, they cannot be coherent. It's a bit complicated to explain why, but here are a few example: - When Otto explained the system of IMG tree and Sea of Quanta, he said that, because tree's selection mechanism, the honkai function as a test, so that world which fail, sinks in SoQ. However, if our world resets everytime when the HoTE wipes out the humanity, the previous statement no more makes sense. - In ch33 act I, Kevin tolds to Hua, he and Su lied about birth of new civilization, those humans birth because Finality reset the whole humanity except the pioneers. But if it's true, then Su and Kevin's debate (second key manga) looks a bit weird, since Su talks about current era humans as a new unrelated civilazation. - And the big question is, if Otto was capable to modify the IMG tree, to create a new branch (world) for Kallen without honkai (?) then why is this not an option for Kevin? I love so much the honkai world and story, so I would be grateful if someone explains me these questions. Seems to me plotholes, but there are a high possibility, I don't understand everything that happaned so far.

In the past, the origin betrayed finality because the origin fell i inlove with humans… and so the origin became one with human to become the humanity’s ego….
It refers to the fact that Elysia (the Herrscher of Origin) severed the strings of fate that that were binding humanity and the Herrschers to Finality's control, allowing some of the Herrschers of the New Era to keep their humanity. That's what the "betrayed" part stands for.

From humanity's view, the project has the same result as them getting killed by the Honkai, and that's why is the worst. It has nothing to do with Elysia and the betrayal of Origin. @Homu Labs There is a translation saying "Herrscher of the End" in the Second Lawman manga, but it's not 100% official because you can't find it on the Mihoyo manga website. It was created before Celine was renamed as Sirin. Either way, Herrscher of Finality or Herrscher of the End doesn't matter which one you say. It's still the same Herrscher, just has 2 titles.

Its a shame that the discourse around Project Stigma being too complicated overweights how cool of a concept it is. Its unique that it answers the long question how to deal with Honkai in a way that only Honkai couldve done. Even if it borrows elements from EVA.
Also what Homu said in his comment is important too. The Project can be understood, and was explained, on multiple levels. Just getting the fundamental idea behind it is more important than the how character XYZ tries to explain it.

Let's be honest. As complicated and crazy it sounds and looks, if you look at it in layman's terms, Project STIGMA is more like a glorified scheme of a well-intentioned but misguided villain: creating a world without pain, loss, and sorrow, in exchange of humanity's free will being erased.
Sure, anyone can compare Project STIGMA with Instrumentality from Evangelion, the ultimate goal for Law faction in Shin Megami Tensei, Takuto Maruki's Actualization from Persona 5 Royal (side note: Maruki's Japanese voice actor also voiced Kevin in HI3), or even Madara Uchiha's Moon's Eye Plan from Naruto. The flag may be different, but the methods and goals are the same. No conflict, no infighting, but people will have no emotions and no sense of self. It's a fate worse than death for the entire world.

After further reviewing the video, I realized that I didn't choose the best combination of words there. What Project: Stigma tries to do is more like spreading the Finality equally among the "new humans"(Forms) in a way that can create this coexistence between Honkai and Forms. I feel like the word "stop" doesn't encapsulate the whole meaning of the idea so I wanted to make this edit to the pinned comment to add to it.
Project Stigma is complicated. It's hard to explain because it works on multiple levels of understanding. It's quantum physics and pseudoscience, it's philosophy, it's a meta-discourse inside a story. It's a hard concept that can be viewed from multiple angles. Yeah, that's a good way to put it. But it's important to note that it can repurpose it because Forms are Imaginary in nature. Otherwise, it would have the same result.

But if as MEI said, Honkai is the result of a civilization becoming a united will or a singular being, and the power of Finality is that of Time, could it mean that when Project Stigma succeeds in fusing humans into Adam Ruhami, they somehow go back in time with the power of Finality , and become the Honkai? That could kinda also mean that Project Stigma is the true birth of Honkai and started the whole problem in the first place.

This should help more people better understand what's going on, cuz while it may look simple and reused ideas at first glance, these concepts are more complex and well tought. All the text in the chapters isn't for nothing and while i do understand this kind o story is not for everyone, i do hope more people enjoy thinking about it. I think the best way to understand some of the difficult concepts on honkai is to think it as the abstract conclusions that fiction characters from fiction worlds (hi3 made by mihoyo) reach from trying to understand deeply their own existence. Even the imaginary tree and all the concepts explained around it as the base of hi3 universe are quite similar to the creative process, how ideas come to life and are left behind in our own mind.
We can see in imaginary space a mihoyo mug and a pen tablet. It may be hints at the idea that this is the creators own imagination where things are taking place.

Well put. However one small issue 13:07 Honkai doesn't want to destroy reality. It wants to turn it into imaginary because honkai itself is first human civilization (my interperation) that ascended to imaginary singularity. Which for humans means not destruction but Project Stigma. So literally project stigma is doing what honkai wants to do but can't because it's message gets distorted through some dimensionality problems. This is what embrace is.
Now I understand the statement "the herrscher of reasons power is limited by Humanity's narrative"
And all the talk about the cave stuff and the narratives and fiction parts
a few questions that I have after doing recent chapters are:
-What are Signets and their power/nature?
-Who is AI-chan and where does she comes from?
-Who is Grey Serpent?
-If the nature of Honkai is like what being said in the video, how did they "seal" honkai on the moon in APHO? Do they trick the Honkai by making a new "reality" on the moon and attract them, or APHO is not a reality anymore?
-What is the Great Eruption? or Which one is it?
If someone can answer these questions, I would appreciate it a lot
1. Signets, like in the game mode, are marks that belong to the Flame Chasers and offer bonuses and power-ups in ER. I'm not that sure about their function in reality. They seem to serve more as marks left by the FC inside Mei's mind to symbolize that the Flame Chasers acknowledged her as a worthy successor for the Authority of the Origin in the New Era.
2. She is a being born from a pseudo-time-crystal created from Project Stigma's distortion of reality. It is a difficult concept to explain. Think of her as a being that has seen all possible futures of Project Stigma and now tries to help the main cast.
3. GS is Mobius' creation from PE in an attempt to create an artificial lifeform. It seems to be some lifeform that is the product of biotechnology, that has multiple different bodies, each of them being a separate entity with its own personality, that are connected together through some mental network.
4. APHO is 100% real. We don't know yet for sure since Ch 35 is not out yet. But AE's plan is to make Kiana into an artificial Herrscher of Finality and use the Second Generation of Selene to Seal the Honkai on the Moon. The exact details of the plan will most likely be revealed in the next chapter.
5. The Great Eruption seems to refer to a cataclysmic event that caused great destruction and ended up with the sealing of the Honkai on the Moon. In other words, it's most likely the events of the current arc.

We are experiencing essentially the end of the "Honkai Impact the 3rd - Part 1" storyline here so I highly recommend to abandon the present chapters (at least story-wise) and begin from ch1. Otherwise you won't likely be able to get all those emotions this game exists for.

The game has been ongoing for about 6 years or a bit more and Mihoyo has a bunch more games that are slated to be released that tie in with Honkai Impact, most notably Honkai: Star Rail.

I'd like to see another video on the subject of "What is Honkai?", but this time after the Chapter 34 (so we'll definitely have all info we can get) and answering the question in perspective. Meaning, to analyze how the understanding of the meta-world of Honkai Impact 3rd by us the players have changed as the story unfolded.
I feel like people are forgetting that Kevin is still affected by Aponia's Discipline (among other things), similar to the Cocoon members who killed Rin. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Then again, this could've been changed by now.
Your videos, the more recent ones especially, are so dang well-put together. For me, watching your videos is less about learning new things, because I learned it from the story too, but it's more about articulating the ideas so concisely and in an organized manner that I can't do myself. You really help me straighten out my thoughts on Hoyoverse's galaxy chess.

So basically, Project Stigma is Kevin/MOTH's way of going "if you can't beat them, join them" with regards to the Honkai and tranforming humanity into an existence similar to it so that they won't be destroyed by the Honkai's embrace. It'd be a pretty inspired plan if not for that pesky little detail of killing most of humanity in the process.
Another interesting thing here is that Kevin seems to _want_ the heroes to stop Project Stigma. Though he's made a grand show of making speeches and fighting them a few times, he hasn't done much to truly stop Kiana and co. and either spared them or left the work to his subordinates (who also seem to betray him or help the heroes half the time anyway, with him still not doing much about this either). Perhaps he's also been infected with the so-called "baseless" hope of the new era and believes they could succeed where he once failed, even if only subconsciously.
Loving the fact that the various projects spell out SAVE

For me, the explanation of Project Stigma was simple in game, its a dream world, simple as is it gets. But the reasoning behind it well, once I made a conclusion, a lot of things in the story and universe just clicked. We were fueled by the terms Quantum and Imaginary, it never was the true scientific meanings, Imaginary meant actual imaginations.
That's why the Honkai was so unpredictable, practically the idea of fiction itself was against humanity so to fight it Project Stigma used humanity's collective fiction. Herrschers are just the imaginary transforming reality, that's why they at the start controlled fundamental laws of physics then became more esoteric in their powers. Its why the Herrscher of Reason is so theoretically powerful, it power lay not in the technology humanity has built, but what humanity could think of, it makes the imaginary reality.
Also, Project stigma is kinda like the Final Sanction in Doctor Who and the Aethrophasic Engine in Stellaris, doesn't have anything to do with what I just said, just thought the comparison was close.

Thank you, I understood everything I noticed in the game correctly(and it's difficult to notice everything, although it's not really necessary, there is enough general understanding). And my question (the most interesting to me) what will happen to people in dreams? Will they stay there forever or will their souls perish, becoming fuel for Adam? Will the forms have consciousness (like Hare), or will they be like static ideas, in the sense of a false humanity, unable to develop further? (I understand that this is not so, because the idea is to separate civilization from humanity so that it can live separately, as they said in the game, and, of course, the forms will be reasonable and will be able to develop further, but I want to get an answer to make sure for sure. ) Thank you for your work, Captain! And another very important question: Will people with an awakened stigma live among Forms?
The game implies that the "dreams" are only temporary and as they fuse into the Spiritual Adam, individual human consciousness will be lost. So yeah, people will die in a happy dream. As for how will the "new humans" function... it's hard to tell. First, we know for sure that the Seeds of Ideas are only able to repeat human ideas but not produce any of their own. Hare says that after Project Stigma is complete, that's not the case anymore, implying that they will most likely be similar to a real human after, just that they will be born directly with a sense of understanding of their own existence. There are also other instances when different characters emphasize that Forms will continue to develop new ideas on their own. Now, I don't think that their way of existence will be entirely the same as "old humans", since we are more than just ideas. Chapter 34 has a whole discourse in which the main cast argues that what Forms represent isn't the humanity they "know". So, to give you my final thoughts, I think that they will be able to continue generate new ideas, but their fundamental way of existing will not be the same as the "old humans".
Also, yes, they mention that Stigma Awakened will be able to exist in this new world.

How I supposed to imagine the result of the completed Project Stigma as an outside observer?
e.g A completly empty planet whitout phisical beings, since they exist a higher layer (as consciousness)?
Then what about that 1% who can awaken their stigmata and basically survive the Project stigma's wiping method?
Honestly, I can't give you a straight answer to that question since we have no idea. I would assume that reality will be somehow merged with IMG Space and the "new humans" will be able to create spaces similar to the main hub of Project Stigma from Ch 34 to live. As for people that are Stigma Awakened, they need to find a "space" that suits them; either a remnant of the old world like The Deep, or a stigma space that allows their existence like the Kaslana Stigma Space for people like Dudu, Kiana and Theresa. This is just my guess though, as I said, they don't really expend upon this.
If I'm remembering correctly, there was a line from hare (I don't remember the exact words) that basically said that the old humans will become fiction and fiction (Ideas/forms) will become reality; So the world would have physical beings (Ideas/forms) as well as the stigma awakened, If I'm remembering it right and not misinterpreting. Hence why stigma awakened were sent to the moon so they didn't get involved in the swap.
I would be interested in hearing a video on your opinion of whether Mobius is alive in current era. There are so many breadcrumbs left by mihoyo regarding the possibility of her still being alive. Which has not only been dropped across chapter 32 & 33 with lines from Grey serpent, Hare and Prometheus. But also gradually small bits and pieces scattered all across from Elysian realm and it's logs, chapters with theater of domination, early sea of quanta chapters, Griseo's paintings, structure of World serpent, aswell other lines from people like Raven. This is something i have seen debated many times on both sides and never gotten a real answer. Because mihoyo keep giving small hints of it but never pulling back the curtain. Which strikes me puzzling as mostly i have enough ideas to facilitate this concept but if it would be true I would imagine Mobius would be reintroduced during project stigma as well - that is her core aspect. Outside of project stigma it is hard to imagine what Mobius would be doing in current era if she would be alive. I would like to make a video myself about this topic but i have never done such a thing. So hearing what you have to say would be interesting too.

It actually wasn't (emphasis on *was*) that complicated, it was essentially super eugenics: as the Stigma is genetic, naturally as the generation goes down, human genes would be a mix of various bloodlines and thus the "stigma genomes" would be incomplete
Project Stigma originally aimed for finding ways to awaken the stigma in humanity, but that plan proved to have abysmally low success rate
Which is why they're revising it: now Project Stigma accounts for those who weren't already Stigma Awakened (or Herrschers) by essentially mixing Infinite Tsukuyomi + Instrumentality
Would make more sense. Just like how Otto's plans has been revised to use the Imaginary Tree, instead of the 'Soul Transferring' ability of the Herrscher of Death, which was what he originally was going for. It would fix inconsistencies in the plot.

Thing is, honkai is genshin in the future. each impact is like a world changing nuke.. its the reality collapsing. The hillichurls and stuff in genshin and genshins impacts were the archon wars and stuff did strange time and realm travelling stuff. Which is why theres that world tree and these travellers popping up and they're like oh yeah theres other realms out there.. those arent different worlds but realities. its microcosmos number of pocket dimensions. Its a bit like wizards pocket dimensions in forgotten realms DnD or ygdrassil vikings lore. The honkai scifi future the more they tried to kill off the evil invaders like hillichurls the more they realised it was only getting worse and huge reality shifts/impacts were bringing more next level hilichurls/honkai after each impact. The reason is somebody damaged their reality so in scifi cyberspace future they understood other realities and cool next level people were around. but is it future them? alternate them? their same reality but a piece of it? they built reality seeds and grafted to reality as a cyberspace new lets all go live in that place. but something prevented it from completing in time and they had to jump inside out of their reality into a false one. Overseer Otto and the archives is like both a prison warden and the evacuate and keep these people safe preserve civilization guy and task them all with it over thousands of years knowing without their reality seed being stable they either find a way to defeat the source of honkai which is why durandal was seeking help from the sweets land by tearing holes in time and space. Or they could somehow get assistance from other realities into seeding a stable one, because they dont have the resources ability it was lost when their reality went boom boom. @@echen193 The lie is that this is not a 'new' era but the previous one. It just started anew. Exept for the ones who were the pioneers. They were not reset and stayed the same. Like when you make a new playthrough on a game but some characters of the previous playthrough stick around to change the story. Because they were not there the first time things happend in a different way.

This is a great video coz the game does have problems explaining the project. It has some aspects that are related to Plato view, the world of senses and the word of essence. Kinda interesting coz they use the concept of memes (as Richard Dawkins described them) as the main aspect of existence
After these chapters, I've been thinking a lot about the current events and past stories.
The fact is that, I didn't catch up the story completely, yet I feel like, the Honkai's writers are amazing, but at same time, they cannot be coherent. It's a bit complicated to explain why, but here are a few example:
- When Otto explained the system of IMG tree and Sea of Quanta, he said that, because tree's selection mechanism, the honkai function as a test, so that world which fail, sinks in SoQ. However, if our world resets everytime when the HoTE wipes out the humanity, the previous statement no more makes sense.
- In ch33 act I, Kevin tolds to Hua, he and Su lied about birth of new civilization, those humans birth because Finality reset the whole humanity except the pioneers. But if it's true, then Su and Kevin's debate (second key manga) looks a bit weird, since Su talks about current era humans as a new unrelated civilazation.
- And the big question is, if Otto was capable to modify the IMG tree, to create a new branch (world) for Kallen without honkai (?) then why is this not an option for Kevin?
I love so much the honkai world and story, so I would be grateful if someone explains me these questions. Seems to me plotholes, but there are a high possibility, I don't understand everything that happaned so far.
I can answer the third question, otto only change Kallen's death at the cost of his life and Honkai still exists

In the past, the origin betrayed finality because the origin fell i inlove with humans… and so the origin became one with human to become the humanity’s ego….
It refers to the fact that Elysia (the Herrscher of Origin) severed the strings of fate that that were binding humanity and the Herrschers to Finality's control, allowing some of the Herrschers of the New Era to keep their humanity. That's what the "betrayed" part stands for.

@@ForestTheBig Project Stigma is the WORST plan because it is literally killing of all human beings and replace them with Forms. From humanity's view, the project has the same result as them getting killed by the Honkai, and that's why is the worst. It has nothing to do with Elysia and the betrayal of Origin. It might be a mistranslation, or Lambda referring to the fact that after Elysia's sacrifice, having humanity suffer the fate imposed by Project Stigma would be a great shame.

@Homu Labs There is a translation saying "Herrscher of the End" in the Second Lawman manga, but it's not 100% official because you can't find it on the Mihoyo manga website. It was created before Celine was renamed as Sirin. Either way, Herrscher of Finality or Herrscher of the End doesn't matter which one you say. It's still the same Herrscher, just has 2 titles.
