Hello Becky. The fabrics for the bag are just beautiful. Pink is my favorite color. You got me hooked on Amelie Scott. I used your link and got the Edge to Edge quilting book and a Monster Snao hoop, 2 expansion packs and he big thing to hold your fabric up. I’ve been bitten by the quilting bug bad. Our Sams and Walmart have been out of toilet paper, sanitizers, cleaning wipes, bread and so many things. There have been lines at Sam’s by 6:30 am and the people take off running. People are being crazy. China survived it and didn’t loose their minds. Everyone I hear thinks this is the beginning of the Biblical tribulation time. It could be anytime but we can’t loose our minds. I want to encourage believers to remember what the Bible says. God is our provider, fear not for I Am with you even till the end of times. He will never leave us or forsake us. He loves us more than we can comprehend. Love your neighbor as yourself. No is the time to comfort those who are afraid. Let’s band together as believers and she the gospel and the love of God to everyone. Let’s take the time with our families and get close. Bond with your children and grand children with love not fear. I’m not saying don’t be wise. Just don’t spread fear. Talk about the love God has for us more than we talk about a virus. I love you all and hope to have a RUclips channel myself one day and I’m looking forward to talking to you all. May the peace of God rain down on us. Elizabeth
I'm not a Creative Notions subscriber yet but love what Vickie puts together. Cute bag and pretty fabrics. Love the journal cards...have to check and see if I can order them. FYI...Vickie posted a tutorial on the bags.
I am with you about the toilet paper etc. Ridiculous!!! But I LOVE all the gorgeous fabrics!! The blue and yellow quilt is going to be amazing!!! Can’t wait to see it finished! Those pictures of bluebonnets make me homesick!! Happy sewing!!!
Oh how I miss Bluebonnets! We moved from Texas back to Illinois a year ago and one of the things I miss right now in March is seeing Bluebonnets along the road sides. Thanks for sharing your pics! Wearing my PTWT t-shirt today so I'm ready to head to the sewing room and have some fun. We are laying low at home as much as possible - we're old folks, and hubby has heart and lung conditions so he would not recover if he got the Corona virus. Gotta keep him safe! Look forward to your next video's. I'm a PTWT junkie! lol
Oh that quilt is going to be gorgeous! And I like the solid owl idea... I'm breaking out the stash and making a few of those projects that have been on the back burner. And I still need to practice one more Flipping Out bag before the class over at Texas Quilt Barn on Saturday! Have a great week!
Thank you for the shout out on my owl quilt. My backing and sashing is by Me and My Sister. I love bright colors so I went through my stash. I only purchased the backing and sashing fabric. Baby Iris’ mom loves owls and baby Iris has 3 big brothers. She is our first girl great on that side of the family. I was waiting to send it so I could show it at show and tell next week, but guild has been canceled. 😕. Six of my friends and I have a little birthday club. We go out to eat, one of us acts as host and brings dessert and a small gift for every one. This month is my turn to host, I’ve made 7 Kimberbell mug rugs and cookies for all of us. Have a great week and stay healthy.
It's at Urban Elementz. If you search 'Warmest' from their home page, you can see the pattern only too. But here's the link. www.urbanelementz.com/applique-elementz/applique-elementz-projects/warmest-wishes-quilt-applique.html
Hey, Becky. Just curious. You use a lot of kits and yardage for projects. How often do you pull from that beautiful stash behind you? Any favorite ways to use it? I’m weird as I don’t buy a lot of fabric until I have a quilt in mind. I was told that the quilting bug really hasn’t bitten me yet.
Well, that's obviously true that the bug hasn't bitten you yet if you'reasking that question! LOL I shop my stash all the time, especially my solids or blenders. I frequently use my scraps in applique quilts. And you never know when a new baby is due or a donation quilt is needed and you already have what you need.😃
I'm glad to hear y'all had a good time on you trip. People have lost their cotton picking minds with this virus. I'm not as scared as most and I have type 2 diabetes and a heart problem that the experts can't do anything about called obstructive cardiomyopathy. Not to mention COPD! But I figured when it's my time to go, God will be the one to decide. Have a great week Becky. 😊
AS far as the toilet paper rush--Due to the Corona Virus requiring Paper mask, Paper gowns, the paper factories are having difficulty producing those required items so toilet paper and paper other products at your grocery store are not be made as rapidly as before this Pandemic. Health care works go through these protective masks and gowns by the hundreds in an 8 hour shift. Your blue and yellow quilt is going to be beautiful.
I can not open the plastic page to put these cards in the journal. I got the top ones open, I can't the bottom, I have numb fingers, and can't feel. This is crazy. You fill the bottom from the bottom right?
Hi this is more of a question. Do you still have that old Brother card reader I recently purchased the pe 800 and didn't realize it didn't have a card slot. My very first embroidery machine has a lace and animal card, Intended to use But can't without the card reader. If you still have it I am very interested in it. Thank you
Donna, Vickie from Creative Notions has done a how-to video to make the bag. You can probably follow along. She gives great instructions. :) ruclips.net/video/LDhSlTrZ74w/видео.html
well, I do not know how clicking on that link brings you patterns, I couldn't find any downloads. but I did subscribe, so I guess I will only be able to watch and not download patterns. I am not trying to be disrespectful; it is just when you have to go through so many clicks to find something and still not find it, it gets frustrating. it needs to be an easier process to get to it.
Sewing room is off limits. I’ve got a stupid head cold. And yes I did check the hotline. They said to do what I was doing & stay home. I guess the TP hogs are using it to blow their noses. 😂😂 Love your videos.
yes people are going crazy with this crap. Hoarding stuff and also buying extra to sell at exorbitant prices for those who need things (price gouging). Its so wrong, people can be so awful. Here in my town in North Texas the stores are non stop crowded. Don't know why, all the shelves are bare. So ridiculous. A person cant even get there basic weekly shopping done. Glad to see your smiling face to help me forget about all the nonsense for a little bit. :)
I love your enthusiasm!

I think I have QUADD (Quilting ADD) LOL. I love to have so many going at once. It keeps me motivated. :)
I wish I could get myself to finish one project before starting another but it will never happen! Lol

How big did the mug rug end up being? I am trying this as my first project but it looks small.

The bottom ones open from the top. I have a hard time too. Try to grab it using a pencil eraser. That might help but be careful not to tear them.

No sorry, it is gone. You're lucky that your new machine doesn't use the old card. That is old obsolete technology.
Yes I got it and I doubt if I can make it and understand the directions and pictures.

Are they charms zipper pulls?
I put them on both zipper tabs. So cute!
I’ll trade you some eggs for toilet paper! I have hens and don’t eat eggs 😁
