I was in Poland earlier this summer. My experiences were great. Good road surfaces, great food, little litter, graffiti etc. I’m not a fan of towns or cities but I did go to Toruń which I think is the town In this video. Super clean, high quality, great food, in fact all the things U.K. towns and cities are not. On top of that it felt very safe and I found the locals very friendly. Given the state of the U.K. at the moment, I can fully understand why so many Poles want to get out and go back to Poland. Loving this series. You guys are brilliant. I’ve tried to put some money in your ‘buy me a coffee’ pot. I’m not very good at this internet stuff but I hope it’s gone through and you can use it to fuel your bikes for a day or two. 🙂✌🏻
Thank you so much Warren your Amazing! We really appreciate your support for us and the channel it really does help keep us on the road and able to make videos for everyone. Once you learn some basic polish, Poland is a treat to be in, its overlooked by motorcycle tourers we think but is one of the fastest growing countries in Europe right now
Another brilliant video, you're a dab hand with the drone. The old city looked fantastic not to mention the, no idea what they're called but they looked delicious. It's lovely meeting bikers from other parts of the world, there's always common ground 😊
Awesome video guys, thanks! Ewa, for the next one, can you please start the video with Rich making the breakfast and showing us his culinary skills? 😁👍👍
Thank you very much for your videos, because they show very well how beautiful countries like Poland and Slovakia actually are. And although Poland is not far from Germany, I personally have no idea what the landscape and cities look like there, especially away from the big cities. I'm excited to see where the journey takes you.
Loving the trip, when I was growing up our neighbour was Polish he was in some commando unit during the war then settled in the UK. He was single and spent most of his time at our house and was the most cheerful guy ever so always thought of Poland as a friendly place, never been though. Those baguettes at the end, good topping but sure that was a French bread pizza you used to buy from the freezer counter.

I took a couple of mates to Krakow a few years back. We crossed the border from Germany and after German roads, hit the worst corrugated road I've ever been on!! My mates had head down arse up bikes. Wow, that bread thing with the toppings looked amazing! Unfortunately, dead straight roads breed stupidity. We have a 7 mile dead straight road with one single bend in it here in Norfolk called the Acle straight (A47) that regularly claims lives. The road could not be any straighter with better visibility, but the drivers could not be any more stupid as a result I think. Us bikers definitely need that 6th sense we seem to develop. On the Sean and Emily channel I saw they were using the Pacsafe Anti-Theft Bag Protector to secure their jackets and helmets to the bike whilst they walk around. I see they do 85 litre and possibly larger. Won’t stop determined thieves but would put off random opportunists
Im sure the Motorway Shell petrol stations in the UK are selling those closed end hot dogs. They certainly used to when i was on the road working regularly about 18 months ago. Great for eating on the go. Maybe all the crashed cars are folk eating hit dogs 😂
This channel is aces on all fronts, but it's the dialogue that I enjoy the most. I find myself nodding in agreement on almost everything you discuss... particularly maniac drivers on 2 lane roads. A few days after Christmas I was driving in Wisconsin when a family in an SUV tried to overtake me - I was going the speed limit 55. I tapped the brakes to make it easier for them to pass, however, they soon realized they weren't going to make it without a head on collision from oncoming traffic, so they braked as well. I had to slam on the gas to allow them back in the lane, otherwise it would have been a multiple fatality crash. The best part? There was a STOP sign less than a quarter mile away. They had Minnesota plates, a state known for having a large Polish population. Maybe they were related to the people who drove their car into the ditch?
Thanks for your videos, guys! Really love them. I’ve got a question for Ewa. How long has she been riding a motorcycle? Seems very confident on the road 👍
Ewa is in her 2nd year now, Have a look on the channel at some of our earlier videos and you will see when she not long her licence etc and talking about her experiences learning

Thats a good plan! My best advice for your Test is to do it with confidence, You will pass no dramas.... Then get as many miles under your belt as you can, The real learning is when you are on the road. Take it easy bud and let us know how you get on!
No manners or courtesy in Poland 🇵🇱 would drive me mad? And I would be in trouble with people very quickly!shame because the riding and country looks good!!
Apart from the dangerous driving you two are living the life, would love to try one of those hot dogs. Enjoy your addvetcure my best wishes to you all from the Philippines ❤️💋🌹💪👍😉😀😁🏁🛺🏍️🐑🇵🇭🏴
I love the cheese perogi but I get Anna to fry mine I know what you mean about not saying please and thank you, really did my head in when met Anna, she explained its not they rude but just not done, she does now lol
😂 Ewa is the same, she says things like "move” or "give me that" instead of please could you pass me the phone… No malice meant it’s just always the shortest possible version of the sentence needed 😂😂
I was interested in your comments about Polish people and their manners. As English holiday makers we found the country folk in and around Zakopane to be very helpful and pleasant. However, when we were in Kracow people were much less helpful. There was a really noticeable difference in attitude.
Zakopane is a tourist destination, This is why we tend to avoid the tourist stuff and go to smaller towns and villages to get a true sense of places and the people.
Oh yaaas… Whenever I had friends over from foreign countries I taught them about the polish “podkówka” 😂 Sometimes when in the store they make me feel like it’s my fault that they have to work there
@@ontheroadadventureZerofit make excellent cool material long sleeved vests. Also the best thermals I’ve ever had, and I’ve got a few miles on the clock😂
Do the petrol brands still do promotions in Poland? I've been to Krakow a few times ( courier) . Filled my van with diesel and got 250g bag of ground coffee for free 🤔 . (A Shell station )
I think Ewa is trying too say that the polish are a warm welcoming people that love visitors 🧐🤔🤣🤣🤣 Im guessing the signs on the shop doors say closed and duck off
I'd be exactly the same Rich. Deadpan passive aggressive needling. It'd be a sport for me! Really enjoying the Polish dynamic and Ewa's expertise. The country is beauuuutiful too!
The lack of manners you highlight of Polish people in their own country is a surprise as when I have met Polish people admittedly in the UK they have been very friendly with impeccable manners. Maybe the ones left in Poland are really pissed off to still be there? Still no excuse though as basic manners cost nothing. Mind you if you want to experience rude shop staff head to France. Their rudeness is legendary. I was in a huge E.Leclerc hypermarche in Dax in May this year on my way back from Spain up to Calais and the staff in there were horrid. Like nart seas accusing me of being a thief and insisting on searching my Givi tank bag which I refused to let them. You couldn't say it was because I was a Brit who couldn't speak French, no, I speak good French. They just wanted to target me because I was a biker and a British one at that. They threatened me with the cops unless I opened my tank bag for them to search which I refused, They were not happy so I said ok call the cops. They clearly weren't going to as they knew they didn't have a leg to stand on. I asked for evidence eg CCTV showing me stealing anything which they refused. The place was dripping with cameras. In the end I just told them they had kept me long enough and fk you in French and walked out. Left my shopping at the till as I hadn't paid for it. So Polish hospitality or lack of it doesn't seem so bad when you experience bad French customer service. I guess in Poland it's just functional, gets the job done.
I had the same experience in a French supermarket the till staff asked to check my bag but I also saw them ask to check the French blokes bag who was in front of me so I was expecting it. They just have a problem with stealing there.
@@ontheroadadventure This is interesting Rich. Yeah all the gypos probably. But the French staff weren't nice about it. Even under French law they still have to have evidence or reasonable suspicion. They can't just say every one is a criminal therefore we must search you especially when a place is dripping with cameras. It's oppressive. I think these sorts of people who wear a uniform think they can start throwing their weight around. Much like many who we now have in the UK. Doesn't make for a nice shopping experience. Not all supermarkets in France were like this even in the same area, but I definitely won't be going to E.Leclerc again. Thanks for the reply.
I know what youi mean, we shouldnt have to prove we are not a thief, but i was chuckling to myself about checking peoples bags who are queing up to pay for goods, i guess i was just unbothered by it more entertained
Hi guys, well, thats it .... I'm going to have to stop watching your videos ..... (joke). You just keep on adding to my bucket list. Never really thought about Poland but that food today looked right up my street :)
What I really hate is tailgaters. When possible I just pull over and let them pass because I cannot stand the idea of being hit in the back by one of them. What foreign language is useful in Poland? English? French? German (probably not for understandable reasons)? Russian is probably not a good idea either? 😉
English of course. 70-80% of people in big cities speakes English. In rural area can be worse, but in hotels, campings or restaurants people speaks English. Russian or German are not wel. known in PL. Only older people speaker Russian. French is very exotic here. Btw as a Pole I hate Polish driveres as well, but this is only about our driving style, its not about being rnot courtesy or rude.
German is the most common foriegn language then English (there is a large ethnic German population), only older people learnt Russian in school as a second languge.
@@jimtitt3571 no German is not popular, only German minority in Silesia speaks German that's why is high in rankings. Vast majority of Poles speaks English, very few speaks Germans.
Enjoyed that . Strange the shop people can’t be bothered , it’s such a beautiful looking place . If you are shit to people you just feel shit yourself… glad you have had dry weather.
I find Poland very cold and rude tbh, but the place is very clean and great to visit, nothing to do with language structure, I think it's a hangover from the communist era maybe?
@@ontheroadadventure Yeah it's a great place for a holiday, beautiful cities and amazing history, very clean and very safe and used to great value, prices have crept up now though and if Poland ever joins the Euro then prices will level up pretty quick. The 'Milk' bars are great value too if you can figure out what to order.
I just asked Ewa about the milk bars, sounds ideal, we didn’t experience that this time though. I’m not sure Poland will join in with the Euro they like to be independent in ways I think
Poles are direct and consider false English "politeness" as something offensive. That is why it is not a country for UK residents. After Poles returned en masse from emigration from the UK and told their friends in Poland about how the English committed racist crimes against Poles after the UK left the EU .
Ewa loves the uk’s False politeness. It’s like we know people don’t really care if your having a nice day when they ask but it’s Nice to be Nice… We both do laugh at the fake British smile people in the uk do when passing in the street etc. I as a Englishman am enjoying visiting Poland, and Ewa loves living in England and of course feels very welcome.
@@ontheroadadventure In addition, the place at the beginning of the video is on the border where proud, tough Poles live, who are Polish highlanders. I live about 20 miles from the first gas station where you filled up. From my house I have a view of the low mountains called Gorce, the peak of which is 1310 m above sea level (about 4 thousand feet)
Those pizza looking things Ewa found at the end were large enough to sleep on! Crikey. How can some one put their car in a ditch on a dead straight long road? It would be interesting to know how many fatalities there are on on Poland's roads each year and how many are seriously injured? Some of the driving in your videos is bad. Absolute nutters going so fast over taking on single carriageway roads approaching bends. Safe riding guys.
The driving standard in Poland is very bad indeed, Drivers are just desperate to pass each other and take huge risks, we just don’t want to get caught up in their stupidity

Thanks so much I use a DJI, it’s just practice and editing. Ewa is a whizz when it comes to cooking, thanks for joining us on the road. Love ya bye! 👋
On the Sean and Emily channel I saw they were using the Pacsafe Anti-Theft Bag Protector to secure their jackets and helmets to the bike whilst they walk around. I see they do 85 litre and possibly larger. Won’t stop determined thieves but would put off random opportunists
I’ve not heard of that before, we will look it up, thanks
You can buy a sprung metal cord to loop through gour jacket sleeve and helmet to padlock to your bike also.@@ontheroadadventure
Keep on crocing🏍
Always!
Im sure the Motorway Shell petrol stations in the UK are selling those closed end hot dogs. They certainly used to when i was on the road working regularly about 18 months ago. Great for eating on the go.
Maybe all the crashed cars are folk eating hit dogs 😂
I’ve never seen one in the uk but il be hunting for them now!
It’s infuriating, I hate that the rest of us have to suffer these fools
im going to try those hot dogs in the uk its a must great idea enjoy ride safe
Yes go to your local Polish shop they will sell them 👍 Try the cake too, they love big cream cakes
Hi guys: Which town were you at in the trip at 17 minutes?
Cheers!
no idea im afraid!
Great vid guys, always good fun to watch your experiences and local food finds!! Cheers Martin/suffolk
Glad you enjoyed it cheers martin
Thanks for your videos, guys! Really love them. I’ve got a question for Ewa. How long has she been riding a motorcycle? Seems very confident on the road 👍
Ewa is in her 2nd year now, Have a look on the channel at some of our earlier videos and you will see when she not long her licence etc and talking about her experiences learning
@@ontheroadadventure wow! Only second year! Well done Ewa! Would you recommend any particular videos where she shared her story?
Here you go ruclips.net/video/0_SAMVCdM4w/видео.htmlsi=ABziOaltysOIxsoF
nobody is jealous of your bacon......priceless humour🤣
Course they are
So, what you're both saying is, it was 31 degrees in Poland?
Yes Poland gets very warm in summer and very cold in winter!
What was the town with the music?
Sandomierz in Poland, beautiful place if you ever there
Should put your old matress on to of the new won see iff at stops the cold bro look forward to seeing these videos eny words of wisdom for me with my mod 2 the mora
And I would be in trouble with people very quickly!shame because the riding and country looks good!!
its not done with malice i think, its just how it is there
you 2 crack me up... 😂
Awesome, it’s all about having a chuckle
Apart from the dangerous driving you two are living the life, would love to try one of those hot dogs. Enjoy your addvetcure my best wishes to you all from the Philippines ❤️💋🌹💪👍😉😀😁🏁🛺🏍️🐑🇵🇭🏴
Thanks so much, We love to travel by motorcycle, we live for it! We love that you love to come along with us too!
Yes!! I’m the first!!
Awesome! If you become a early access Channel member you get to see the videos before they go live!
I have bean wondering why only Ewa has sidepanniers? Seams unfair that she has more stuff on her bike😉😁
The panniers won’t fit my bike fittings sadly so Ewa carries the light stuff like camping pillows in there and cosmetics of course 😄
I love the cheese perogi but I
get Anna to fry mine
I know what you mean about not saying please and thank you, really did my head in when met Anna, she explained its not they rude but just not done, she does now lol
Breakfast at 01:18 - those weren't cups of coffee, they were cups of tar! 😁
We do like strong coffee!
amazing vlog!
Thank you!! See you in the next one
Oh yaaas… Whenever I had friends over from foreign countries I taught them about the polish “podkówka” 😂
Sometimes when in the store they make me feel like it’s my fault that they have to work there
Thats exactly how it is!
You should get a cool vest
We have heard of these recently and curious to try one now
@@ontheroadadventureZerofit make excellent cool material long sleeved vests.
Not something either of us has come across 🤷🏼♀️
I think Ewa is trying too say that the polish are a warm welcoming people that love visitors 🧐🤔🤣🤣🤣
Im guessing the signs on the shop doors say closed and duck off
Polish people have a saying, visitors are like fish, it goes bad after 3 days!
@@ontheroadadventure they are probably about right.
Another great video can’t help the stupid people passing but thank you we love watching
Yes nothing we can do about those fools, we just dont want to be caught up with them...
Dont you have Frensch hotdogs in UK?
I’m not sure we do?
Don't lose it in the first place then.brilliant😂
You can always look to the Mrs for Top Advice eh?
It was good.loving your travels. Keep safe.😍
Cheers bud 👍
Omg she great. 😂
Thanks! See you in the next one
Another great vlog ,thanks guys and drive safely 😊
Cheers, we do our best to dodge the nutters!
I'd be exactly the same Rich. Deadpan passive aggressive needling. It'd be a sport for me!
Really enjoying the Polish dynamic and Ewa's expertise.
The country is beauuuutiful too!
I’ve really enjoyed Poland other than the crazy driving, really scenic and food is acceptable 😄
Prickfest , sums up some people perfectly
Yep, no shortage of them here
Yeah, they do not tend to smile at strangers. I hate it.
It’s strange but I can’t say it bothers me really
@@ontheroadadventure it is an authoritarian communist regime heritage
Perhaps it will change in time
Hi guys, well, thats it .... I'm going to have to stop watching your videos ..... (joke). You just keep on adding to my bucket list. Never really thought about Poland but that food today looked right up my street :)
Poland is a great place to visit, allot to see, allot of history and great grub
@@ontheroadadventure I'll be honest, it's not really the history that I'm interested in but the food, thats another matter completely lol
Like us, we love the grub!!
@@ontheroadadventure Yes, I've noticed lol .... nothing wrong with that, we all need to eat :)
Some of us more than others lol
Love you bye
Love you bye!
👌👌👌👏👏👏
Thanks Tony, see you in the next one
Problem here is one idiot is quickly replaced by the next one
German is the most common foriegn language then English (there is a large ethnic German population), only older people learnt Russian in school as a second languge.
@@jimtitt3571 no German is not popular, only German minority in Silesia speaks German that's why is high in rankings. Vast majority of Poles speaks English, very few speaks Germans.
Polish - sorry, I had to ;-)
👍
Thanks for Joining us on the road, See you in the next one
Enjoyed that . Strange the shop people can’t be bothered , it’s such a beautiful looking place . If you are shit to people you just feel shit yourself… glad you have had dry weather.
I guess they don’t get paid enough to care 🤷🏼♀️
I find Poland very cold and rude tbh, but the place is very clean and great to visit, nothing to do with language structure, I think it's a hangover from the communist era maybe?
Not sure really, it’s definitely not like it’s a reason to put people off coming here, Poland is an amazing country to travel to on the motorbike
@@ontheroadadventure Yeah it's a great place for a holiday, beautiful cities and amazing history,
very clean and very safe and used to great value, prices have crept up now though and if Poland ever joins the Euro then prices will level up pretty quick.
We love the More Rural places in poland, so unique, I think youll enjoy the next lot of videos here
Yeah, the guy at the gas station may seem to be rude, but if you start conversation or Ask a question they will respond and support.
Yes, i dont they mean to be rude, its just there way... Hospitality has been great in Poland, its just different cultures
What is your next stop? Warsaw?
Who knows we make it up as we go along! See you in the next one
👍
Thanks for watching
