Overall the channel is a superb entertaining mix of biking, history, food, camping, people and of course your priceless humour! 😂🥸 Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about Poland …..and wherever else your travels take you both. You guys are really putting Poland on the map for must see places to visit. Love your honesty and sense of humour, totally with you regarding Garmin. Stay safe and keep up the great content.
I understand The Wolfs Lair might not be to everyone’s taste but I think it’s important places like this are preserved for historical purposes. Loved this video, I’m definitely going back to Poland next year, so civilised, just like the Baltic countries. Given what’s going on in other European countries, the east is looking like the new west.
Hi Rich & Eva, Loving the Polish tour section (and the other Countries), the roads in Poland seem to have improved a lot since I had to hire a car from the Baltic coast back to Warsaw some 30 years ago whilst on a business trip - a whiteknuckle ride then😮. Lovely Country and people, lots of history albeit somewhat tragic - now retired, I'd love to do a tour on the Tiger 90GT. Take care & ride safe. SteveD (Isle of Wight)
Love all your videos another place I'd like to visit. Eva has a wicked sense of humour and brilliant at remembering all the facts and figures. Keep up the brilliant work and taking us to all the interesting places to visit
Well done you two for highlighting and paying such great respect to the people who suffered during the war very humbling you are one of my favourite RUclips channels even more so now, much respect ride safe Sam x
I was there back in 2013 when I was staying in Kętrzyn. Nearby is also Hitler's villa he build for his lady. It all looked amazing, like time stood still.
I was here only a couple of months back. I left the bike at a hotel by the lake and walked to the Lair. The owner of the hotel was telling me that during the war the hotel was the home of some senior German General. I loved my day there and the audio guide really brought the experience to life. Loving your videos, love you bye!
A fantastic episode as always, Keep up the great work that you're doing! ❤ You're welcome for the camping and yes, It's my company name. 😃 Can't wait for the next one! ❤️

Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure 🤙 🤟. R.I.P. to any and all innocent people that lost their lives, and to all that gave their lives for peace ✌️ 🙏
Guys. Really enjoying your latest exploits. Fascinating to see a different view of Poland. Keep up the fantastic efforts with the videos. They just seem to get better and better as the time goes by. Great as always to see the landscapes from a motorcyclists perspective but all the more enjoyable when interspersed with historical sights, local information…..not to mention the odd giggle along the way! My new “go to” channel!! 👍
Fantastic episode guys! I find it impressive how you manage to combine humour and serious topics in one video. Once again you have managed to portray this part of WWII history in a credible and engaging way. The background information you give is presented in such a way that it is never boring to watch and listen to. Well done....Very well done!

Enjoyed this video alot. I like when y'all visit a place of history and spend time around it an exploring it. Good formula, hopefully this video gets you all lots of likes and views.
Just watching this vlog now and have to say I'm a huge fan of Google maps navigation. I would never fix my smart phone to the handle bars so I bought a quadlock and a relatively cheap new older model Samsung smart phone. Downloaded via WiFi Google maps (certain areas) to use offline but also bought a £3.99 data only sim card (payg) with 24gb on from argos. This data lasts for 12months. So I have live update Google.maps on my bike that uses tiny amounts of data. I also coated the mic, speaker and USB port with a dose of acf50 just incase of a rain shower. Haven't had to top up the data on the sim yet. It'll last me the entire year of riding! £65 for phone plus the quadlock - beats the tom tom or garmin ANYDAY! And far more reliable! Try it on some of your trips. BTW great tour of Poland and everywhere else guys. Loving it!🏍👍
@@ontheroadadventure I could not find a suitable phone case for the phone I bought (Samsung AO3 Core) as its rather an old model. So I bought the universal quadlock mount that had to stuck directly to the back of the phone. No problems at all with it. But yes, if you were to spend a bit more than £65 on a smart phone model then you'd probably be able to buy a quadlock case for it. However to keep my cheapy brilliant GPS navigation system running nice and smooth, I do not let any other apps run on it. It's purely a navigation system. Never had any issues as of yet with destinations. Worth a try. I don't know how you guys have stuck at it with the garmin! You're so brave! Lol
(23:30) as a builder, it's amazing how much rebar is used to fortify the walls, and the I beam for the ceilings. (but you know the Germanys didn't build these, they used, their captives, to construct the buildings.)

Hi Guys, just like to say thanks for your video on the Wolfs Lair. A place I've been wanting to visit for a long time. I've decided to go next year now, probably on my own which is something I was a bit nervy about tbh. Anyway your video has inspired me to actually get off my backside and do it! Thank you both..👍
Great episode guys. Credit to you both for highlighting the dark history of the Nazi regime. Surely we can’t be crazy enough to be considering escalating another war in Europe!
Our pleasure! A bit of a WW2 Theme at the moment but there is so much of it in Poland we really wanted to go and see it, Glad you find it as interesting as we do
@@ontheroadadventure I’m off to do colditz and stalag luft 3 as I’ve mentioned before, we kinda met on the ferry in April this year, I was on the GSA ( that had fell over previously) and my missus was also on the Africa twin like yours, you followed us out of Plymouth remember? 😎
Another fantastic episode. I stayed at the Panarama lake resort, Nowe Guty for a few days. Not far from the Wolf's lair. It was on our todo list but work got in the way so we didn't make it. Thanks for showing & sharing. Ride safe guys.
I was thinking of getting a Garmin. i will stick with my Tom Tom now lol. Brilliant vlog as always, learnt a lot and that monument with the burnt wood, well that put a chill down my spine. Very informative. i was well impressed with the bike park and the tool station and lockers. Love you bye
We found last year that a planned 6 week tour of france, pyranees, andora and spain led to fatigue and had to take a few days out in barcelona. Your comment Rich, that "its unbelievable what humans will do to each other, so struck an emotion with me!" Told you before that a quadlock, vibration mount and google maps is the best option Welsh for arse hurts is ass yn brifo 😮sent shivers down my spine rich! That wolf bunker is scary in how protected is. A must visit. Thanks both! A very emotional and hard topic to cover and you did it with such dignity. Well done both. Need to provide you with a night of camping. Just say when!
Yeah we have just began to use it with a cable to get by, its very slow to load and use each time though and often needs to reconnect when you turn the bike on and off... Ive no idea why they are not wireless these days, is the 2024 wireless carplay yet do you know?
I was in a town in Germany where there was a locker with all tools for push bikers. That was brilliant the facilities for bikers. So impressed, well done. We have 360 on each other in case we get lost from each other.
It’s such a simple thing to leave some tools like that but such a big help in the event of needing something. Poland is turning out to be an amazing place to tour on motorcycles
Only found your channel this morning, am currently binging it. Would love to do similar (BMW F850 GS here). I look forward to your future adventures, Eva and Rich!
Welcome Simon! You can join the tour from the beginning if you wish by going to the channel and playlist “all in tour”. F850gs is a fantastic machine to do a tour like this on, go for it!
Came across your channel a few weeks ago and watched a few of your videos, really enjoyed the content and the way you live day to day on the road, it’s great to see that you use local small businesses for food and drinks and visit places of interest , you both seem like two down to earth lovely people unlike some channels out there, so keep up the good work and looking forward to the next episode, i am now a new subscriber, ride safe and enjoy your travels 😊
Thank you making this video. I learned so much from it. Very well filmed and edited. Shall have to visit this place at some point. The tool station was for cyclists as well as bikers. There are quite a few of these in the Netherlands for cyclists. I know how you feel about Garmin, I have similar issues with their mapping on my bicycle computer. Basecamp is crap. Like you I much prefer Google maps.
Some history your showing us absolutely brilliant. the thing for me is how flat Poland seems Tobermory. Garmin yeah there pretty bad I ended up getting a carupride w702 brilliant bit of kit you should check it out.
Very interesting I am.always amazed at how much mass.construction occurred during the war. Massive buildings went up in no time. In other news the advantage of sat nav over a phone is that you don't need sim or signal. Just a thought. You could try active tab with sim card.
Hi Rich, have a look at a Chigee AIO-5 Lite as a replacement for your Garmin…great reviews and the pricing is keen. Cheers, and ride safe you two! 🏍️👏👍🇿🇦😊
If you’re looking to replace the Garmin XT, have a look at the Chigee AIO range of units. Some have dashcams, some don’t but they are all Apple/ Android Car Play for the phones nav app’s- google, Sygic, MY-Route app etc. At the moment it’s only 5 inch screen but rumour has it a 6 inch is released in December
I was mesmerised by that caterpillar on your jacket at the beginning that i missed everything you said and had to rewind twice as i kept watching the bloody caterpillar
Loving your work guys. I can recommend a Quadlock and Google Maps. I used this to get from the UK to Estonia and back and it was spot on. I have the wireless charging doodah and the rainproof cover and I mounted it all on my triple clamp so it’s as safe as can be from damage if I come off. I can go off route and it sorts itself out in seconds and I can add specific shops or petrol stations or whatever to the route. And whenever I get to where I want to go my phone is fully charged. Winner.
@@ontheroadadventureIt’s as easy or as difficult as you want to make it. The easiest method is the bar clamp, just one small bolt. If you want to use the wireless charging then you need to get power to it somehow but if you’re not bothered about that it’s a 2 minute job.
We would always need power but a cable to a power bank would do the job if theres no port on the bike... Cheers i think this may be the way forward for us
Nice story you told. The next morning I did not understand why that couple there were packing there bikes far from the motorbike parking. Now I know it was you.😂 Yes and does lockers were perfect.
Hi really enjoying you journey and your channel too you make good watching. Just one question on this episode why was the wolf’s lair in poland? Looking forward to next video already Thanks
(12:29) family history, tells me, that my great grandfather was a pilot during the war. and his plane and crew were spared, by a Red tail Pilot, and were able to crash land. (He was just a young Lad). By saving him, I guess, I would not be here. (I visited the Red Tail Museum in Alabama. Tuskegee Airmen institute national historic site) (out of respect). 20 years back. I was working with another builder, and we built tri-plex units (town houses) as a 55 and older. as people were moving in. I saw the tattoos on the people's wrists. (and learned the Horror, of the camps) It change my way of thinking, about the German side of my family. (Mom, would also tell people, we were from Irland) But her father's family were from Germany. I'm thinking my they would be turning over in the graves, as I married, a little Jewish girl.
Another great vlog! I’m surprised about your Garmin problems… I travelled all over Europe in July and my zumo XT took me to the door every time… I would get the full address off google maps and then use the post code for the garmin (making sure you are set to the right country).
Yeah ours used to work well but the last two tours it’s been hopeless. We have deleted and reinstalled maps, done updates etc but it’s no good anymore 🤷♂️
I did a ride out yesterday with 200 plus bikers in a monsoon to Durham police station and Durham mp’s office to protest against bike theft it’s out of control in the north east
Hi Rich Ewa , thankyou for taking us along, I have a question for you both , do you like speedway? I know it is very big in Poland.i have no idea where Wroclaw is , we have it on the box it's the speedway granprix it is on tonight. 31st August. 😊
Good educating episode. Garmin is good for complex custom routes. But for A to B or to find the address or a place, the phone is your friend. You can navigate routes on the phone using a (paid) 3rd party software, but it's hard to see the screen in the sunlight, not all gloves work on it and as you say, a dedicated phone is preferred, as I wouldn't feel comfortable to put my phone on the bar. Cheers. P.S. Thanks for finding time to reply on all comments.
@@ontheroadadventureyeah, find a navigation software for the phone and experiment with it. There's plenty of them. Some of mu friends use the Kurviger and like it. But as for me, the phone still has its limitations.
Another very good vlog, your content has been very interesting. I hope you do have a bit of a break, although I will miss you, get a well deserved rest. RUclips should promote you❤❤❤
I have a cheap phone with various satnav apps on but no data on it so i use my phone in my pocket as a mobile hotspot to send data across... works in uk but not sure abroad yet... great video and stunning footage... how evil things can be eh
Sadly you are right, do you notice in the videos in Europe how there is no litter etc in the streets? Things feel much better loved and respected especially in Poland, it’s a very safe country to be in
@@ontheroadadventure cartridge is very expensive were as I think the aoocci is around £150 to £200 I think watch Richie Vida's vloggs he swears by it now 👋🤠👍
I had good and bad experiences in the wolfs lair when I went few years ago, I had a tour guide she took me on top of gourings bunker which not allowed but I didn't use mosquito cream and felt ill at Treblinka next day
As far as the Satnav goes, there is one problem with navigating only by your mobile phone. You need internet to work with Google Maps. Inside Europe should be easy (if you are European at all...) but the would be man countries you'll have to buy extra Telephon cards. The Garmin operates by GPS which you'll find in every country. Or you have to download the Google Maps cards, but that would be less flexible.
Just buy a cheap phone, e.g. Cat S75 (price in Poland 260 pounds) and keep the cheapest satellite subscription. You get a phone with a secure satellite connection even if there is no coverage . GPS may have a problem in that area because Russians from the Kaliningrad region (former Königsberg) jam the GPS signal for navigation of transport planes carrying aid to Ukraine
Just to add to this, when near to a Russian border set your mobile network manually. The Russian networks often site high power cellular towers near to borders in the hope that your phone will connect to it because it’s the strongest signal and you end up paying extremely high roaming charges.
@@ontheroadadventure In addition, you go with a passport (in Poland they register SiM cards based on an identity document) to, for example, an Orange Polska store and buy a SIM card with a top-up. You pay 12 pounds a month for a top-up and get unlimited calls and text messages within the EU and 50 GB of mobile internet within Poland per month and 14 GB of roaming internet per month within EU countries.
@@ontheroadadventure Currently, Hitler's remains and his personal belongings are placed in Moscow in an Orthodox church belonging to the Russian army in the so-called Patriots' Park. Putin and his entourage and the Russians pray to Hitler's remains which they consider to be relics. These are not fairy tales because anyone who knows Russian and can go to the Russian Internet will confirm this. So fascism has not disappeared and is developing quite well in Putin's Russia
Would this still work for me back in the UK? I currently have Giffgaff that does not do a deal on EU roaming and so i have to keep topping it up when we are away in Europe Touring. It is very cheap in the uk though
Sat navs n phones, Slight issue with google maps, if you've no data yr screwed. Downloading maps only provides a small area at a time, and if they coincidentally need updating, google maps won't let you use the downloaded maps. THOUGH I hope I can be corrected
I think your right, the phone just isnt a good option especially when touring in Europe, Im always running out of Roaming Data on Giffgaff just using my phone normally so i dont think its the answer
don't want to intrude, but it would be nice to see Eva's folk. Yes, have to agree, it is appalling what humans will do to each other. re navigation , yes, I have Africa twin too, the android auto is getting better, the more you understand how to set it up. I have a tom-tom 400 too. All into headset, and the radio -plays radio 1 or 2or 3 its is impressive.
The AT Carplay feauture needs to be improved by being wireless and not taking so long to get going each time the bike gets turned on or off. It is a help though when you give up on the garmin like we have had to do

Yeah we have just began to use it with a cable to get by, its very slow to load and use each time though and often needs to reconnect when you turn the bike on and off... Ive no idea why they are not wireless these days, is the 2024 wireless carplay yet do you know?
@@ontheroadadventure agree it’s a bit temperamental. If you look at Rich Vida vids he uses it on his AT.
Rich man you can’t go wrong with a Quad Lock/ Quad Lock mag case. My phone has taken a beating and I swear by it!!!!
I would have never seen such places if it wasn't for you and your travels! Some pretty amazing and shocking stuff at the same time! Ride safe!🤙
Thanks so much for being with us on the road and sharing in what Poland has to offer. Where are you from bud?
@ontheroadadventure I look forward to your videos! Im from New Jersey, US.
Awesome! We would love to come to the US some day and explore
wonderful vlog!
Thank you! ☺️
Thanks so much Tony we really appreciate your support
Great episode guys 👍👍👍
Thank you ☺️
Thank you making this video.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thanks for being with us on the road! Hope your well, Rich & Ewa
A brilliant episode I love all the ww2 history,
Brilliant episode, I love WW2 history
What a cool video!
Thank you, the Wolf's Lair turned out to not only be a unique place to motocamp but also a very good clean campsite. We highly recomment this one
Some history your showing us absolutely brilliant. the thing for me is how flat Poland seems Tobermory. Garmin yeah there pretty bad I ended up getting a carupride w702 brilliant bit of kit you should check it out.
I’m seeing allot of love for those satnavs this brand seems to have come from nowhere!
You guys are amazing
Thank you! ☺️
30:40 The biggest kebab I ate so far was 50cm long, was called Mega Rollo. Took me about an hour to finish it. Made it, but barely.
Very interesting I am.always amazed at how much mass.construction occurred during the war. Massive buildings went up in no time. In other news the advantage of sat nav over a phone is that you don't need sim or signal. Just a thought. You could try active tab with sim card.
Yes losing signal would definitely be a problem using the phone
Hi Rich, have a look at a Chigee AIO-5 Lite as a replacement for your Garmin…great reviews and the pricing is keen. Cheers, and ride safe you two! 🏍️👏👍🇿🇦😊
The assassination attempt was portrayed in the film Valkyrie. Tom Cruise played Claus
Von Stauffenberg.
I havent seen that one.... Another to add to our List! Cheers bud
I will take a look on RUclips and see what’s on offer 👍
I was mesmerised by that caterpillar on your jacket at the beginning that i missed everything you said and had to rewind twice as i kept watching the bloody caterpillar
Im gunna have to go back and look for it now arent i....
@@ontheroadadventure starts at 4:05 at the back of your head lol and walks around the collar of your jacket and has a look at your beard LOL
That is Outrageous!!! LOL I have no idea how neither of us noticed it in Editing!
Winner.
It’s a strong contender for when we get back, how easy is it to move from one bike to another should I be on a press bike for example?
Thanks, Poland really does seem to look after the bikers 👍
Hi really enjoying you journey and your channel too you make good watching.
Just one question on this episode
why was the wolf’s lair in poland?
Looking forward to next video already
Thanks
I think because Poland was in the middle of Europe? That’s my guess anyway
History of all kinds is a fascinating thing isn’t it
@@ontheroadadventure Talk about skeletons' in the closet
One of your very best, thank you... Love you bye...
Wow, thank you! ☺️
@@ontheroadadventure bloody strange isn’t it?
Is that using the garmin drive app too?
I have to admit, I don’t use it much
We just put the postcode or search the location on the nav
Very interesting place and topped off with a good campsite and Kebab. Sounds all good to me.
Great video as always.
Lovely informative video again thanks really enjoy following your trip my best wishes to you from the Philippines ❤️💪👍😉😀😁🏁🛺🏍️🐑🇵🇭🏴
Thanks for joining us ☺️
That’s is so true I also feel guilty about not seeing enough but in the uk you cannot leave your bike unattended
Its so sad, we feel the same, paranoid to leave it in any town and defo not a city like London
I did a ride out yesterday with 200 plus bikers in a monsoon to Durham police station and Durham mp’s office to protest against bike theft it’s out of control in the north east
this is becoming a history channel now ;-)
When in Rome…. Or in this case Poland… There’s so much of it here we couldn’t pass by without going to see it
Rich. Sell me one of the units rather than the bin please pal. Again moving and very interesting footage. Well done both of you. 👍🏻
When I went there years ago, there were signs everywhere telling you not to go into the demolished bunkers, but you just can't help yourself. 😁
Sometimes temptation is just too much
Hi Rich Ewa , thankyou for taking us along, I have a question for you both , do you like speedway? I know it is very big in Poland.i have no idea where Wroclaw is , we have it on the box it's the speedway granprix it is on tonight. 31st August. 😊
I love speedway, I use to attend my local speedway stadium regularly but it doesn’t exist anymore. I need to take Ewa to see it 👍
Good educating episode.
The phone maybe a bit small for my eyes too… perhaps we will experiment a little before finding what works best for us now
@@ontheroadadventureyeah, find a navigation software for the phone and experiment with it. There's plenty of them. Some of mu friends use the Kurviger and like it. But as for me, the phone still has its limitations.
Yeah im not convinced the phone is a good idea, its a good back up plan but not the best primary sat nav
Another very good vlog, your content has been very interesting. I hope you do have a bit of a break, although I will miss you, get a well deserved rest. RUclips should promote you❤❤❤
Thanks so much Terri, every like comment and share is what drives the channel on to allow us to continue 👍👍
I have a cheap phone with various satnav apps on but no data on it so i use my phone in my pocket as a mobile hotspot to send data across... works in uk but not sure abroad yet... great video and stunning footage... how evil things can be eh
What happens if you run out of signal though?
@@ontheroadadventure well I'm up shit creek.. I suppose.. maybe I should buy a Garmin
The phone was my plan too but I guess that doesn’t work
great video guys keep it going
Thanks! Will do!
29:19 that wolfes layer place has a bit of SSence about the place ye ,take care guys 👋🤠👍
I see what you did there…
Uk needs those bike tools and lockers cool
Tom cruise movie made on that assassination plot , worth a watch .
We need to see that movie, someone else mentioned it too 👍
@@ontheroadadventure it’s shows how many people from high up ranks were involved . You need to visit the eagles nest next , Germany I believe .
@@Tony79Mud That one is on our to do list for sure 👍
Great episode. It would be nice to have facilities like that, but in the UK, they would charge earth for them, and they would get vandalised.
Sadly you are right, do you notice in the videos in Europe how there is no litter etc in the streets? Things feel much better loved and respected especially in Poland, it’s a very safe country to be in
@ontheroadadventure that kebab looked amazing, but did it hit the spot in the eating 🤔
Ohh yes!
8:05 8:07 aoocci gps guys ,cheep and really excellent ,take care guys
There seems to be allot of “New” brands of Satnavs for motorcycles becoming available, I heard the car pride name one allot too.
@@ontheroadadventure cartridge is very expensive were as I think the aoocci is around £150 to £200 I think watch Richie Vida's vloggs he swears by it now 👋🤠👍
I had good and bad experiences in the wolfs lair when I went few years ago, I had a tour guide she took me on top of gourings bunker which not allowed but I didn't use mosquito cream and felt ill at Treblinka next day
Ah yes, apparently the mozzies were a big problem for the Germans here too!
@@ontheroadadventure the mannequin of Hitler in that bunker think is new exhibit as didn't see that
I think the Exhibits change in the last bunker on the route
@@ontheroadadventure a mate wants to go so I'm hoping to go again sometime, next mozzie cream for sure lol
Have you found a mozzie repellent that works yet?
Oooo wow look at the size of this Kebab!
Good video guys , good to hear the history but hard to remember what went on
Yes for sure, The Concentration camps are difficult ones to visit
As far as the Satnav goes, there is one problem with navigating only by your mobile phone. You need internet to work with Google Maps. Inside Europe should be easy (if you are European at all...) but the would be man countries you'll have to buy extra Telephon cards. The Garmin operates by GPS which you'll find in every country.
Or you have to download the Google Maps cards, but that would be less flexible.
Losing signal is a big flaw in our plan, yes i see what your saying...
Apple/android CarPlay for bikes. Game changer
The Africa twin does do car play but it’s really slow to connect and just doesn’t work well. Not sure if the 2024 has been made wireless?
Someone told me the vibrations from the bike damages the iPhone when mounted on the handle bars! Is that right? Great episode guys again 👍👍👍
Yes the quad locks have a vibration dampener to sort that but yes don’t mount a iPhone direct on the bars
Yes we are considering the option of a cheap phone for this 👍
@@ontheroadadventure In addition, you go with a passport (in Poland they register SiM cards based on an identity document) to, for example, an Orange Polska store and buy a SIM card with a top-up.
Had a garmin it was crap. Got a quad lock for my phone eyes started straining so got a iPad mini it’s great can see all maps. 😂😂
Dressed as a what!!! 🙄 No bother he said....😆 epic!!
Cheers for joining us!
Sat navs n phones,
Slight issue with google maps, if you've no data yr screwed.
Also i have garmin xumo xt,what an expensive piece of junk.
Used and trusted garmin over the years but never again.
Mine is already binned
No help from customer services either sadly
don't want to intrude, but it would be nice to see Eva's folk.
It is a help though when you give up on the garmin like we have had to do
I totally agree not a nuff dune for biker friendly places, like whare u are 😮
I was so impressed with this place, usually attractions like this in the uk are fleecing stations and your scared to leave your bike.
