  • The Jewish Museum is an art museum and repository of Jewish cultural artifacts. It is located on Fifth Avenue, in the former Felix M. Warburg mansion, an imposing building, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Note: it is the first Jewish museum in the United States. The museum contains the largest collection of art and Jewish culture in the world - excluding Israeli museums. The museum has nearly 30,000 objects including paintings, sculptures, archaeological artifacts, Jewish ceremonial art and many other pieces important to the preservation of Jewish history and culture. Famous artists included in the museum's collection are James Tissot, Marc Chagall, George Segal, Andy Warhol, Camille Pissaro, Man Ray and Deborah Kass.

Very much enjoyed this tour - an under-visited museum. Thanks!
