I love Roosevelt Island, I've been there a few times but the first time I went on the Tram I got motion sickness but I still took a video of the view. I really like the red bus ride around the Island, I took it 3 times in a day, now that there is a fairy makes it a perfect place to visit and so much fun to be there. You know Hannah Lee, if I could not live in Manhattan, I would definitely live there, so much to see and do, I think. Wonderful tour, thank you!👍😀

Roosevelt Island is so beautiful and very peaceful. I totally agree it's a hidden gem (and yes during Cherry Blossom season). So much history and the name changes it went through. Beautiful guide. Seriously need to go back and spend more time there. Of course, we love the touristy things in NYC but it's always great to find those key places where its less touristy and have that moment of peace as well. So great to see the NYC Guide series back Hannah. Keep it up!!

Fantastic video Hannah. I knew some of the details, but I love to learn more, so thanks.
We visited Roosevelt Island during our trip in 2013. Unfortunately we had already walked around Flushing Meadows the day we went. So we didn't explore as deeply as we wanted. We didn't even know about the free bus that drives around the island, or we would've made use of that!
The views are incredible too. It was October so the sun went down early.
We went over on the tramway, then back to Manhattan after going down approximately 6 million steps to the subway (slight exaggeration but it is deep down 🤭)
That subway station is SO FAR underground! 😬 I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, and I hope you get to come back and do some more exploring one day!

What would be New York weather like in mid September? Planning to visit the island from 14-18 Sept 2023 and spend half a day in Rooselvelt island.
That time of year can be tough to guess! It should still be pretty warm though. No colder than mid 60s at night probably.
We took the ferry, but I've always wanted to take the tram. Maybe on a warmer day!

Hi Hannah, 🌸 I enjoyed this video , especially the historical information and the old film clip of the island! It's always a bit confusing about The Cherry Blossom Trees, since there are a few varieties, and they bloom at different times. I've seen some with White Blossom bloom but other trees still haven't bloomed at all. ! 🌷🌸 Did you attend any of the Earth Day Celebrations ?

What is neat about Roosevelt Island is that all A+ students have to get an F to see Roosevelt Island by Subway. To avoid the F take the tram instead!! 😂😂😂
