José - what a BRILLIANT tutorial. I am 59 and continue to be amazed at how tight my body has become despite daily yoga and regular fitness. (all roads are leading to a lack of estrogen 😞) I was feeling frustrated by no longer being able to get into the "proper" pose. Your alternatives give me the ability to do this pose now. Thank you.

Thank you so much! I had no idea that the goal of this pose was to feel it in your hamstrings! When I go to classes they never explain in such depth. I have some things I can try now as I can never bend over very far, thank you!

It's critical to do yoga under guidance of a teacher and not based on RUclips to reap proper benefit & avoid serious injury

I understand what you are saying and appreciate it, especially for beginners. I will say that Yoga can be done on your own as long as you listen to your body and stop when you feel something is not right. It's also important to consult a doctor if you have certain medical conditions. For people like me, who couldn't afford a teacher or to go to a class, I've benefitted greatly from these videos. I've been doing this for 10 years now and all on my own ☺️
Edit: I also want to say that unfortunately people will always attempt things on their own. It's better to have good, informative instructional videos out there to outweigh all the bad information that's put out there.

      Accessibility is the issue.

@@lmzaadiAlso affordability. There's no way I can afford to pay for a yoga class.
