I'm soooo glad you reuploaded this, I can only imagine the hard work that was to find the videos and put them together. She was absolutely fantastic in this show.
Her performances in the show emphasized how beautiful her tone is more than how “technical” it is. I loved listening to her KoMS performances than her IS or IAAS2 performances (except a few though)

12:05 was actually a cracked G5 in the undubbed version and I hate how they changed it because the F#5 feels so flat and out of place. And the G5 was still beautiful and emotional. Nevertheless, this video reminded me of how pleasant her midbelts were in this era, even more so than her higher belts IMO. Her tone isn't usually my favorite but it was so smooth and pleasant in Breathe and Home's mids 6:06 😍😍

This show in general uses a huge amount of reverb, more so than Immortal Song or other singing shows.

I forgot they made her dance to Freakum Dress lol. After dealing with her more rapid fans for so long, I fell out of love with her singing but this is really bringing back the feels.
I agree some of her fans are overprotective and hard to deal with but why does it make you like her singing less =( ?
@@BabbelHage Rude, overprotective fans attacking you over pointless shit on her videos really gets annoying and after a while you start to associate the two things with each other. I actually just got a reply about her pitch yesterday over a comment that I made 7 months ago. Also, this belief that she is the greatest vocalist ever and the need to point it out everywhere and fight to the death over it has to go. I hate stans.

When it says Head Voice here, does it meant falsetto? As I understand, they are two different things. Head voice is connected whereas falsetto isn't. However, so many reactors seemed to use it interchangeably and some even said that they were taught so in school.
I love Sohyang performances in KoMS. I love Atlantis Princess esp after comparing the original pop version by BoA. My fave is Dear Love followed by Breathe.

Reactors are not educated in these terms so they don't know the complete difference and if there's someone claiming to be vocally educated yet still using them interchangeably then it's a good reason to stop believing their legitness, they're plainly put a charlatan (and there are plenty of those around, for e.g there's a YT'er here who claims to be a vocal coach but doesn't know the difference between vocal resonation and sonorants). There's a difference between a developed, well support, resonant head voice and falsetto. Falsettos are disconnected head voice, produced by the edges of the vocal fold hence the sound it produces is weak (lacks power), airy and louder noises will easily drown it out.
Sohyang barely uses falsettos. Almost every instance of her upper extension is head voice, which is why it sounds powerful with a "ringing" resonance to it.
@@knightenchanter7908 LOL that you are calling them charlatans while saying things like that... If you knew something about anatomy, you would know how wrong you are and how these names doesn't really matter at all. They only serve to teaching purposes, it doesn't mean they are objective at all.

Jk, but they did lower her pitch to fix her little crack she did, but that was almost an emotional over-boost for me. Small mistakes could seem purely intentional, as this one certainly just adds texture to the already perfect song :( If you want to know what pitch-correction I’m talking about, try watching the original audio on So Hyang TV’s channel, as it has all her songs from King of Masked Singer - unedited :)
