Hello there, Ankit. Great content, again! I'm a senior mgr now at a service based company, have 5 yoe as a service based engg(active directory) and 6 years in the current mgmt role, want to transition to PM role but there are a lot of confusing contents out there to filter. For a person with minimal exp in C++ dating back to college days, can you suggest the pathway?
Thanks for the kind words. Find out the transferrable skills you have acquired in all those years, that overlap with product management. I am sure their would be some domain matter expertise as well. With this knowledge, start working on other skills, practise problem solving, and reach out to your network for positions. Here is a detailed piece where I have mentioned the basics of PM + answer to this question in the end: bit.ly/master25pm
This content will definitely help . Thank you
So happy to hear it!
