- From Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Edward Furlong gave a virtual panel through Wizard World Virtual Experiences 2020 to talk about this amazing movie, his career and to answer fan questions.
Edward Furlong, or Eddie if you prefer, played John Connor in the hit sci-fi action thriller, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. He’s also known for A Home of Our Own, Detroit Rock City, American History X and more recently in CSI: NY, Arachnoquake, The Glades, Star Trek: Renegades and was a reference for his younger self in Terminator: Dark Fate. He is considered by many fans to be the true John Connor and his fate in Dark Fate raised quite a bit of outcry, especially after his heroism in T2.

Ed Furlong is one of the hardest working men in Hollywood. They need to give him a shot at the big time.
Probably one of his most underrated roles was in _Little Odessa_ where he played the younger brother of Tim Roth, who played a hitman for the Russian mob. It’s a dark and depressing story and it doesn’t have the energy you’d typically expect from a crime drama but it’s still an excellent movie.
I thought it would have been cool to see John Connor in Dark Fate dealing with issues similar to Ed Furlong. I mean john lived a pretty crazy life so growing up running away from Terminators must be pretty stressful and if done right it would have been satisfying and possibly inspiring once John found his new purpose without Skynet's existence. I guess kind of sort of like Bill and Ted 3 did

Too late now in my opinion. They fucked up the Terminator series after the 2nd one already. The main reason was absence of him as John. He never understand that the hollywood is all about the look. Nobody buy overweight, junky looking John Connor. He is great guy but he need some good diet, training, loose like 25kg and quit smoking and other shit like drugs and alcohol. I think the role in T3 for him was obvious but from the reason that I mentioned above they choose Nick Stahl and start ruined the franchise.
But he's right there...on screen.🤭

We opened in 1994 or 1995 for Metallica, well I say opened but more accurately we played before them on this festival. Where they had a north and a south stage.
So I was hoping that we could shake hands all being on the roster and musicians and all. But nope! They were guarded like Fort Knox! And the fucked up thing was that we couldn’t even see them play, because we were literally at the back! And we were hoping we could stay on the stage because there we could see them. But we got kicked off.
And I’m still frustrated by that 😀
And now being on SFX and VFX (although not the last 3.5 years, with the coof and my heart almost stopping from a weird illness). I met a lot of actors and directors. And my IT customers, they Google my name before an interview, and with a unique last name as mine they’ll find you.
And luckily there’s only two movie credits and not all the TV shit I worked in. But people freak out!
And with these two credits one is an indie horror that nobody knows about. The other is Dunkirk where I was a subcontractor of a subcontractor, so I didn’t even get to set. But people find it weirdly attractive.
