I guess Cambly don't mind as its free advertising for them.
How have you noticed students recording and posting their Cambly lessons online? I’ve never heard of this. I would definitely not want my students recording my lessons. Have you figured out a way to prevent this?

I’m not very sure about the best times to tutor on Cambly but I usually teach around 8am and 9am CT (Central Time) and I always get students during those times. 3.) Sadly if you or someone runs into issues, you most likely won’t get any help or support from Cambly. I hope these answers help!

I have never taught, so I'm a little confused how to go about actually teaching someone like in a class. But I would be great at just having a conversation on a variety of topics. What I really want to know is how is Cambly to teachers? There are some ESL platforms that are horrible to teachers. They treat their students like gods and their tutors like paupers. For example, a student makes a false accusation against a tutor and without any investigation, the company penalizes the tutor. I'm tired of such working environments, I need to work for a company that actually cares for its tutors. I was looking at Cambly because the pay is better than my current pay. But how is the working environment? That's the real tea I need.
No support? I have had some issues and the support team were very helpful. I started last week and my con is if your internet drops out on a priority hour and you can't connect with a student, Cambly will punish you by susupending priority hours for 3 days. So make sure the internet has a strong signal.

Hi! So Cambly says it IS mandatory but I’ve known of many people who still get accepted even if they aren’t a native speaker. And no, Cambly does not take a commission or percentage :)

Is it true that you will only be paid for the minutes you talked? Say, in an hour of class, you talked for 30 minutes, your student the other half, you will be paid for half an hour rate only? Please advise. Thanks!
It’s true you get paid by the minute but you get paid every minute you have a class. So if the class is an hour and the student wanted to do most of the talking, you still get paid for that whole hour :)

It all depends on the students! Some students will call that will only last 15 minutes and some students call will lay for 30 minutes and some for a whole hour!
Yes! So anyone can call you for however long they like, depending on your availability. So if you want to teach from 9am-10am someone could call you for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 and even the full hour!

It’s different for everyone, some people get hired same day and some people get hired after a month! And whenever I work, it’s usually busy and I always have students, but as I said before, just depends :)

How long does it take for you to teach for about 6 hours a day. I figured it be slow at first.

There may be students who report you for no reason but it’s very rare. And also, Cambly does a good job in looking into it
