Personally, I think the whole reason that the Doctor only called out for Amy was because she didn't have to jump with Rory. He understood what Rory had to do but Amy going was a risk and unnecessary. My two cents, at least.
+Vanguardmetrics that's what I thought! Plus you can tell how much Doctor loved Rory when he realises that the old man is Rory and what the Angels are going to do to him. It's all on Doctor's face.
I think that, while the Doctor cares for Rory, he's no Amy. He has a very special relationship with her, and seeing her die basically blinds him to anything else. Even at the very end of the episode he was simply sad about Rory's fate, and then became literally desperate when Amy decided to follow him.
One of the most underrated, emotional moments in Doctor Who. People always talk about the very end of this episode and how heart wrenching it is, but often forget about this scene, which makes me sad. So beautiful
When Amy and Rory jump off the edge the Doctor just goes like "Amy! ,Amy! , Amy!" Completely ignoring the fact that someone else just jumped off the roof too. XD
Isn't it established that River goes and visits them again in the past? To give them the book so Amy can write the afterward? Honestly it never made much sense to me why the Doctor couldn't just also do that. He knows when they have to die, but there's no reason he couldn't just go and visit them in the past before he reads the afterward saying he didn't.
For those wondering why he only called out Amy's name, it's because Amy didn't have to jump. He understood Rory had to do this, but wasn't expecting Amy to as well. To add on, he was closer to Amy anyways, the first face his Eleventh self saw. It would make sense he's a bit more worried for Amy. I do however stand by my first point.
Rory was always Amy's, the doctor has been almost primarily about one companion at least thru4l NuWho and before 13 and her Fam. When Mickey boarded 9ths, and 10ths tardis it was always on a you're My companion rose he is just tagging along. Hence why when Sarah Jane reunites with the doctor he remarks oh my God I am the tin dog. Also in that episode with madame de pompadour ten comes around with a horse and when rose says you can't keep that he says I'm letting you keep mickey. While in NuWho the doctor loves and admires the potential of humans thru the insight of the companion.....he also can barely stand all the pudding brains. Lol
@@gabrielvega1713 it’s not just that he dies, he gets erased from space and time all but forgotten. But and this is silly but even though he complaints that Amy doesn’t love him or that he loves her more than she does him he keeps coming back. Reappearing. Being literally willed into existence in some form of another across time and space because his ginger hotheaded Scottish wife loves him so much she can remember him though he did not exist and pull him back from non existence
Doctor: Amy! Me:...and Rory Doctor: AMY! Me: Rory's there toO YOU KNOW! Doctor: Amy! Me: RORY! WHAT ABOUT RORY?!?! YOU LOVE RORY, EVERYONE LOVES RORY, BUT EVERYONE IS IGNORING RORY!!!!
I remember 10 years ago when this episode first aired. I was 16, it was summer, my brother who was 18 and I watched it together, talked about paradox and time travel. Today, I'm 26, and he's 23, he'll always be 23. That's paradox bro. Your baby brother is older than you. May we meet again. 💙
I think it's a good time to say it: AMY AND RORY WERE THE BEST COUPLE EVER. I mean it. I always hate the new companion when she shows up, and Amy wasn't the exception. But I keep hating her the second episode, and the third... I thought she was the worst companion the Doctor could ever have. And then Rory came. It's amazing how Amy's personality changes when Rory is with her. In the end, they were almost my favourite companion pack ('cause yes, they are a pack and you know that). They didn't have the most complicated death, or the most surprising one. But I think they had the saddest of all. "Together... or not at all" is a quote that I'll remember through the years. These two made themselves a little place in my heart.
Fantastic summation.. Basically the reason why the Doctor was so heartbroken, loosing both of them. In the end though it was little Amelia that carried him off. 'Raggedy man..goodnight' :( sniff...
Well, no.. although everyone is dead to the Doctor if you think about it. Him constantly sticking to the year that filming takes place for his present day is highly unlikely, he's a time traveller. But no, Rose lived, Ponds lived a full life in the 30s, so they lived, until they stopped and the Doctor said "I love you".
In my opinion this was one of the greatest moments in Dr. Who history. Just the love and dedication between Rory and Amy, coupled with a killer music score just pumped in so much emotion. Brilliant scene and heartbreaking but beautiful. Together or not at all.
"Together...or not at all"... "This is marriage"- these lines depict true love between Amy and Rory ... I love the understanding between them... They're so young yet they are outstandingly mature... just love it 🆒👍♥️🤗🆒👍🤩😊🤠 Love from India
maybe the doctor kind of thinks it is worth a try for Rory to jump (the doctor says the paradox is working so he knows about a paradox) but no one knows if it would work before they jump so taking Amy too would be an unnecessary risk, that's why he only calls out for Amy
The angels had like 40 second time-frame to do something when they were watching each other. The big one grabbing them mid-air wouldve made things awkward for them.
1)river was watching the Statue of Liberty 2)doctor was looking down at them so even if an angel did come, it wouldn't be able to do anything cause it would be within sight of the doctor 3)you realise that but was slowed down? They were probably falling at about 5-10 seconds at the most
Matthew Thomas That still left the angels 40 seconds to do something before the jump. They chose not to because uhmmm...I guess they thought this scene was so dramatic too.
I missed this episode when it originally came out. Now, 7 years later, me and my girlfriend watch it and I'm like "nah, it'll be fine, Rory always lives through this kind of thing." 5 minutes later I was crying like a baby. *_I WAITED 7 YEARS TO GET MY HEART RIPPED FROM MY CHEST_*
I think the reason Amy and Rory are the two best companions is because you get to literally watch their entire lives go by. From Amy as a little girl to her as a young adult, to their marriage and having a kid, their marital problems and their resolution, seeing River become an adult and get married, to their growing older and needing glasses. And then he gets to see their graves and read their goodbye notes detailing the rest of their lives. It was so well thought out, and the actors played the roles so well, both with the silliness and the seriousness. This is why Matt Smith's era of Doctor Who wins out.
I'm at this point of the new series so far, and I have to say that those two were the best companions so far. Maybe because they were the only ones that actually seemed to form a proper family with the Doctor. Though I do wish they showed more of Amy on her own with the Doctor (I kinda miss her character on the first episodes of season 5); and I would have liked to see at least an episode with just the Doctor and Rory as well: the fact that they're close is kinda just said but not shown, and the fact that the Doctor is desperate just for Amy in this episode proves it once more.
I think the Doctor only shouts Amy because He cared more for Amy as she was the first face he saw He knew that the paradox would probably work with Rory falling but may kill Amy Rory always comes back to life The end of the book said 'Amelia's last farewell' so he probably thought Amy had jumped to her death there But yes, the poor guy took a shot meant for The Doctor so he should care a bit more about Rory
It took me a moment to see what you were talking about. Well this is one of those timey wimey things, but River was already alive in the time period before they got sent back. So unless they did something to prevent their birth, and thus paradox their existence, River wouldn't get written out of time. Er. Timey wimey.
Funny thing. Their life isn't really erm... Written. So the doctor could see them and they can still come around just as long as they die at their old age in New York. So umm.. Does that make sense?
yeah when I saw this episode I start cry cause these two (Amy and Rory) was my favourite. when I saw Titanic I say ok it was sad but it's only movie. But when I saw this in this moment I have very bad feeling. It's sad >:'''(
This scene was the most cryable scene during the entire DW-series. I cried like a baby, and I will always cry like a little child while watching this scene.
It’s been so long since I saw this scene and it STILL hurts because Rory is a REALLY good actor. “Go on, tell me I’m wrong. Please. Because I am really scared.” “I’m uh…..gonna need a little help here.” “To save you….I could do anything.” LIKE HOLY CRUD
I don't like this episode. I got real attached to Amy and Rory. So this marks the first time I kind of cried during a TV show. :'( R.I.P. To the girl who waited and the last centurion
You didnt cry when rose got trapped in a parallel world? Or when Donna lost her memory? Or when 9 sent rose and the tardis home to sacrifice himself? Really?
@@mogcmasterofgc158 he probably only started to watch during matt smith that's what slot of people did and I think watching all of them this got me way more coz it's so much more sad
I can actually count the times I’ve watched this episode on one hand! This episode never fails to make me cry... the music is so emotional and the part where the vocals kick in as they fall and Amy pulls Rory closer to her, always breaks my heart... Props to Murray Gold, his work on Doctor Who was amazing and I will never forget it.
This entire scene is masterfully crafted. Murray Gold's heartwrenching score is always worth mentioning, but man do Arthur and Karen gave their all here. I've always seen the tear at 2:23 as Amy's ultimate choice between Rory and the Doctor. Up until this point, the pull of her love for Rory and her bond with the Doctor always seemed to be in flux, a set of scales tipping slightly in either direction constantly. But the moment Rory tells her he'd do ANYTHING to save her, and she simply stares at him with that tear rolling down her face, I think the scales definitively dropped to one side forever. Amy finally made her choice, which we see conclusively in the very next scene... What a beautiful moment.
Ironically people forget that Rory and the doctor never really had a connection other than Amy and even then it equally separated them near the end of Karen and Arthur's time in the show
+Film Mations Might be, but that doesn't mean they weren't friends, or that the Doctor didn't care for Rory. He should've cared a bit more that Rory jumped off a building as well.
+ThatGuyWithHisHat I think the reason he calls out for Amy only is because it has been proven that Rory comes back to life but Amy never had to go through death and coming back and he is scared.
The sheer panic in the Doctors voice here when he arrives on the roof and in the graveyard later always make me cry. Great acting but it just comes across so sad, he's so desperate not to lose someone else.
okay, the fall was in slow motion so the actual fall was much shorter than that, and judging by the fact that the doctor was looking over the side for a long time and was still looking after the paradox started working it's probably safe to assume that he saw them both splat and my heart can't handle that
I really miss both Amy and Rory :'( They were a beautiful and awesome married couple in Doctor Who! :D Plus what made it worse for me was that they both got send back into time by that stupid Weeping Angel... *Cries a waterfall* :'(
I'm not crying..... it's not like they were my favourite Doctor Who couple ever, it's not like when they died I hid in my room and wouldn't come out for a day, it's not like I research all of the eleventh doctor, Amy and Rory episodes over and over....... So yeah, I'm not crying..... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
They cant show up in the doctors timeline because he threw them into amys special crack in her bedroom so they no longer exist not in that timeline anyway so the producers can't without an excuse or youll get all these haters.
***** Ahhh but remember the crack on the wall in the time of the doctor ? It's how the angels got into that town in the first place as the doctor said it was impossible to get through without attacking the church. Turns out the crack is the work of time lords. As for that episode in manhattan those angels exist temporarily until the point where the doctor throws them into the crack. E.g rory got into the crack and he was erased from time that means from the point he got trapped and onwards he is gone never existed but everything before existed but that amy wont remember the past because shes in the future if another amy was in the past before this she would remember him even though in the future he gets erased. The angels are basically the past of when they where erased. Theres another thing to remember one angel is not same as another angel they're all different if you thrown one into the crack and another stays that angels thats alive will still exist.
***** Nope wether he rebooted the universe or not does not matter because the cracks are not controlled by the universe they're "through time and space" And it was the crack its the only possible way to get on the planet and the time lords didn't have a choice in it the time lords made the cracks to get to the doctor the angels getting out was just a side effect of what happened.
Can we all just give a massive round of applause to mr Murray gold who wrote together or not at all. Definitely the best composer the show as ever seen and I’m buzzing that he’s back ❤
That Statue of Liberty Angel is probably the most terrifying thing that i have seen. An ordinary Weeping Angel is scary, but when it's head the the size of a small house, that really does increase the intensity.
Everybody calls out the emotional aspect of this scene but what really gets me is the doctor’s reaction to seeing them on the ledge “What the hell are you doing?!”
This scene was SO sad and moving and the music was so beautiful!! I actually cried on that part every time :( I was so sad when they both died anyway... Love Doctor Who, but miss all the older characters even though I love the current ones!
What I truly love about this scene is that this is where you see Amy's character development as a companion the most (imo). Would the young Amy who ran away the night before her wedding do the same thing? She would have wanted to save Rory, of course, but would likely opt to go with the Doctor into the TARDIS and figure out a way to save Rory another way. Rory says "to save you, I could do anything", and you can see it in her eyes as she makes the decision - to save Rory, she could AND would do anything, too. Amy has learned and matured so much over her time with Rory and the Doctor, she's willing to give up everything just for this man, who she loves SO much, Rory Williams. She doesn't want to find an alternate option, or let him die by himself, because she just saw a version of him live out his life all alone that in a room downstairs - and she will not let that happen again. She loves Rory to pieces, and her fierce loyalty shines here. Yes, if he'll die, it'll likely kill the angels because of the paradox, but like hell if he thinks she'll let him do it alone. Together, or not at all.
Deep beneath this heartbreaking storyline it's a story of true love. leaving this world together holding each other. The last embrace. It does destroy the Doctor and a sad reminder he'll always loose the one's he loves..you can tell when Clara arrives he's tormented by Rory and Amy's death...Amy pond was one of the best companions...
I really hate when people say they only hate Moffat for killing Amy & Rory. Is it sad? Yes, but RTD wrote sad endings to give companions as well like with Rose & Donna. Everybody cried in those instances nobody hated RTD for that.
your right, compared to other deaths, rory and amy had it easy, they lived together untill they died of old age.katrina was sucked into the vacuum of space, adric died in the K-Pg extinction event, sara kingdom was aged until she became dust.so yeah rory and amy had it pretty good actually
***** I'm devastated that the line in The End of Time about Donna doing charity work was cut! Would have made such a huge difference to her story - even though she couldn't remember traveling with the Doctor, she still changed as a result.
***** I don't really get it either why people hate on Moffat this much, especially after he only killed Rory and Amy off because Karen wanted a way to go so that she couldn't come back.
I always liked Rory, but Amy went from one of my least favourite companions to one of my favourites. I think out of all the companions she goes through the most growth. The things she faces challenge not only her view on the universe but her as a person. She'll always care about the Doctor, but she realises there was something so much more important that she had all along. Her arch was beautiful, and I'm glad this is where it ended. No coming back to life or retcons, just the girl who stopped waiting.
Yknow the sad thing is that Since Rory still gets sent back at the end,he’s still the angels prey. They jump off the building infinitely, but Rory will always be the one in the hotel room, perishing by himself as an infinite food source.
Why is everyone hating on Danny so much? He is the only normal person in the series. He was the only one who was concerned that the life with the doctor was needlessly dangerous. Often clara just wanted a normal day in the past or seeing a wonderful sunset with 3 suns ect. But no she got a near death trip everytime. Mostly the doctor even knew that such stuff will happen even though he promised something normal (A normal day was mostly the only condition of clara to come with him on the trip). Did you never realised that companions of the doctor are more like his own property to him which he cares very deeply about? He intentionally puts them into great danger everytime just to accomplish his own goals. Rory and Amy died and he was devasted, but right after clara came along both of them were the past and no words are spilled about them ever again. That happens everytime. Back to Danny. He was the only one who saw through that and wanted to protect clara in the only way possible. Getting her away from the doctor. Yeah what you can see with the doctor is beyond awesome, but you risk your life every trip and most of the time you were brought intentionally into that mess by the doctor and now need the doctor to rescue you. You could not help yourself. You could die a couple times just from lunch to dinner time. It´s hard to understand since that is the fact why this show is so awesome. Going with the doctor on awesome adventures which are dangerous and filled with conspiracies and mysteries you can´t even imagine. But exactly that part is just not normal in real life. Clara, rory, amy ect. just survived all that stuff for the sake of the series since a new companion every episode is just awful, but accurate. The companions survive stuff noone would survive even in the series they survived mostly by coincendence. It is normal behaveior to drag your loved ones away from that. Remember the episode where the Doctor forced amy to stop blindly believing in him and that shattered her completly cause she realised all of that in one moment. Every companion is bound by the blind trust in the doctor that it could be hell for an eternity, but it will be better cause of the doctor. He will make it right. That kind of trust is just not right. Don´t get me wrong here. I love the doctors, especially Matt Smith who played one of the most manipulative doctors of the series, but again. Exactly this part makes it so exciting for the audience, but is just wrong for a real person. You get used as bait, get lied to more often than everything else. Often for the sake of the companion, but even more often for the good of the plan of the doctor. There were so many opportunities to tell the truth, but the companions common sense and the will to live another day would keep them from going with him cause they would have known that this trip isn´t fun, but rather complete insane and dangerous. "You have a high chance to die, I will use you to get something and put you in great danger ect ect ect." Noone would come with someone if this would have been the invitation to the trip. A doctor builds up a such strong trust on lies that the companion would die for him for no perticular good reason. Just cause it would make the doctor happy. My Conclusion is that Danny being alive would have been be the end of clara oswald in the series which would be awful cause I like her more than the new doctor (I miss Matt), but he was the first person who actually cared and really wanted to protect clara for example. The doctor is just afraid of being alone and there for is jealous of danny. He disguises it as careing for her since he could have been the wrong one, while being the complete wrong one for her in the first place. No person who actually cares about someone would put them in such great danger for his own goals and fun.
+Charizarzar In a show that tries to push the edges of reality, he was one who was too real. He truly could have been any person you could walk into, and anyone could be him. The reason Rory and Amy worked so well was that it pushed at the edges, but mixed in reality. They had the balance right, unfortuantely Danny and Clara didn't, at l;east not for this show.
Pretty much a controlling jerk throughout the series, him being a soldier was hardly used until it had to be, and his death wasn't really that sad as he hated the doctor

Lol
also rory dies like kind of a lot. like the number of times hes died is somewhere between the doctor and jack

Rory puts the Roman in Romance

Thanks!

Fantastic summation.. Basically the reason why the Doctor was so heartbroken, loosing both of them. In the end though it was little Amelia that carried him off. 'Raggedy man..goodnight' :( sniff...
They were a terrible couple, good companions though.
Rose is dead
The Ponds are too
The Doctor never said
I love You.
nO
WHY!
Well, no.. although everyone is dead to the Doctor if you think about it. Him constantly sticking to the year that filming takes place for his present day is highly unlikely, he's a time traveller.
But no, Rose lived, Ponds lived a full life in the 30s, so they lived, until they stopped and the Doctor said "I love you".
Yes Rose, we can assume lived to a ripe old age with her "one heart" doctor 😍
Is it just me who cries whenever the doctor leaves his companion or they or that one person does. I always end up crying my eyes out
In my opinion this was one of the greatest moments in Dr. Who history. Just the love and dedication between Rory and Amy, coupled with a killer music score just pumped in so much emotion. Brilliant scene and heartbreaking but beautiful. Together or not at all.
I want a Rory Williams, where can I buy a Rory Williams?
BBC shop, you just have to look for the invisible section that nobody can access
They cost stupid amount of money, because to be honest you are buying a human being

Ya absolutely
Btw I am from India too
Which state are you from?
Amy: "You think you'll just come back to life?"
Rory: "When don't I?!"
Doctor who becoming selfaware
maybe the doctor kind of thinks it is worth a try for Rory to jump (the doctor says the paradox is working so he knows about a paradox) but no one knows if it would work before they jump so taking Amy too would be an unnecessary risk, that's why he only calls out for Amy
Lol nah. The Doctor just doesn't care about Rory. XD JK
I like this reasoning... mostly because otherwise the Doctor is a jerk. Good explanation!
When I watch this, every time Rory says, "To save you, I could do anything," I burst into tears.

The angels had like 40 second time-frame to do something when they were watching each other. The big one grabbing them mid-air wouldve made things awkward for them.
1)river was watching the Statue of Liberty
2)doctor was looking down at them so even if an angel did come, it wouldn't be able to do anything cause it would be within sight of the doctor
3)you realise that but was slowed down? They were probably falling at about 5-10 seconds at the most
Matthew Thomas
That still left the angels 40 seconds to do something before the jump. They chose not to because uhmmm...I guess they thought this scene was so dramatic too.
Eren AKAY
Yeah I know, the episode was kinda stupid.
how was there 40 seconds? you dont fall from a 20 story
building for 40 seocnds, your max velocity is too high!
Thats 40 seconds of them not watching the Angel but something else like each other.
funny how the Doctor only shouts for Amy, Rory was there too. Rory reminds me of the child that no one cares about

I'm sure the fictional characters wont be offended

When Amy and Rory fell off the building, my heart turned cold. I literally stood there like a statue.
So did the angel that killed them
Interesting choice of words
I think the Doctor only shouts Amy because
He cared more for Amy as she was the first face he saw
He knew that the paradox would probably work with Rory falling but may kill Amy
Rory always comes back to life
The end of the book said 'Amelia's last farewell' so he probably thought Amy had jumped to her death there
But yes, the poor guy took a shot meant for The Doctor so he should care a bit more about Rory
Can we paradox this episode out of existence?
So the Ponds come back. Then again its not the Doctor as they knew him now so maybe they are better off just resting in peace
Wait if they died shouldn't river die?
It took me a moment to see what you were talking about. Well this is one of those timey wimey things, but River was already alive in the time period before they got sent back. So unless they did something to prevent their birth, and thus paradox their existence, River wouldn't get written out of time. Er. Timey wimey.
MinecraftPro15 If you read the tombstone on the next scene it says that Rory died at 82 and Amy died 87
Funny thing. Their life isn't really erm... Written. So the doctor could see them and they can still come around just as long as they die at their old age in New York. So umm.. Does that make sense?
Did anyone else cry at this part...just me? Amy was my favourite character and she just....

This scene was the most cryable scene during the entire DW-series. I cried like a baby, and I will always cry like a little child while watching this scene.
In another world... The actor who played Rory would be a great Doctor...
He did play Rip Hunter in the Legends of Tomorrow series. Its about as close as we can get
Yes
It probably won't happen but it definitely could. Capaldi showed that the doctor can regenerate into an old face that he's seen before on his travels.
It’s been so long since I saw this scene and it STILL hurts because Rory is a REALLY good actor.
“Go on, tell me I’m wrong. Please. Because I am really scared.”
“I’m uh…..gonna need a little help here.”
“To save you….I could do anything.”

I love how The Doctor grabs River's hand and keeps hold of it when the paradox starts to work 😭❤️
Sometimes, when I'm feeling too optimistic, I go back and rewatch all the sad Doctor who moments, they really help.
I don't like this episode. I got real attached to Amy and Rory. So this marks the first time I kind of cried during a TV show. :'(

It kinda annoys me that the Doctor only calls out for Amy :/
Ironically people forget that Rory and the doctor never really had a connection other than Amy and even then it equally separated them near the end of Karen and Arthur's time in the show
+Film Mations Might be, but that doesn't mean they weren't friends, or that the Doctor didn't care for Rory. He should've cared a bit more that Rory jumped off a building as well.
your correct but i really wouldnt worry too much for a guy made out of plastic and or is practically immortal with a gun in his fingers
+ThatGuyWithHisHat I think the reason he calls out for Amy only is because it has been proven that Rory comes back to life but Amy never had to go through death and coming back and he is scared.
+TheNicolettemariee Amy died in The Pandorica Opens and sort of in The Girl Who Waited.
The sheer panic in the Doctors voice here when he arrives on the roof and in the graveyard later always make me cry. Great acting but it just comes across so sad, he's so desperate not to lose someone else.
"To save you, I could do anything. Except jump off this ledge on my own."
okay, the fall was in slow motion so the actual fall was much shorter than that, and judging by the fact that the doctor was looking over the side for a long time and was still looking after the paradox started working it's probably safe to assume that he saw them both splat and my heart can't handle that
0:27 The moment he had the idea is so well acted, look at his face, he’s like “oh crud wait”
Somewhere in that decade the Tenth Doctor is dealing with the Cult of Skaro.

Love the scoring as Amy and Rory fall.
That's how love feels. A jump to the uncertain and a probable death, but you feel it worths.
I'm not crying..... it's not like they were my favourite Doctor Who couple ever, it's not like when they died I hid in my room and wouldn't come out for a day, it's not like I research all of the eleventh doctor, Amy and Rory episodes over and over....... So yeah, I'm not crying.....

this musical score is chilling
I just realized the doctor probably saw their bodies at the street before the paradox fully took effect and now im breaking my heart all over again
1:59 I honestly thought he was gonna say "if you love me, let me go" xD
Sorry but I love how love the way the Doctor called out for Amy, so much emotion
Lol imagine today the statue of liberty kept changing which arm to hold the torch and we didn't even notice it
They should make more Weeping Angel episodes! The Angels are my favorite enemy.
Orihime Inoue exactly,
Orihime Inoue XD
***** Nope wether he rebooted the universe or not does not matter because the cracks are not controlled by the universe they're "through time and space"
And it was the crack its the only possible way to get on the planet and the time lords didn't have a choice in it the time lords made the cracks to get to the doctor the angels getting out was just a side effect of what happened.
Can we all just give a massive round of applause to mr Murray gold who wrote together or not at all. Definitely the best composer the show as ever seen and I’m buzzing that he’s back ❤
That Statue of Liberty Angel is probably the most terrifying thing that i have seen. An ordinary Weeping Angel is scary, but when it's head the the size of a small house, that really does increase the intensity.
every one talks about having a love like river and the doctor [even me] but this is love and marriage
Everybody calls out the emotional aspect of this scene but what really gets me is the doctor’s reaction to seeing them on the ledge
“What the hell are you doing?!”
3:17 best score I’ve heard in a while
This scene was SO sad and moving and the music was so beautiful!! I actually cried on that part every time :( I was so sad when they both died anyway... Love Doctor Who, but miss all the older characters even though I love the current ones!
That slow build music......count down to soul shattering feelings
Can we just appreciate the MUSIC when they're falling? It's incredible!
Rory, Amy, and River. The Ponds, who will rip time apart for the one they love.
The music at 3:17 gets me every time... 😪
"WHATTHEHELLAREYOUDOING" It's giving Dumbledore in the Goblet of Fire
I like how there was a huge chunk of not looking at the statue and nothing happened.
The only thing I hate for there death is the weeping angels
***** I'm devastated that the line in The End of Time about Donna doing charity work was cut! Would have made such a huge difference to her story - even though she couldn't remember traveling with the Doctor, she still changed as a result.
***** I don't really get it either why people hate on Moffat this much, especially after he only killed Rory and Amy off because Karen wanted a way to go so that she couldn't come back.
Moffat: Are you crying yet?
Me: N-No…
Murray Gold: How about now?
Me: YES-
I loved Rory h was amazing he waited 2000 years for Amy that proves how much he loves her
The music as they are falling gives me goosebumps and makes me cry every time
It never fails to make me cry how Amy embraces Rory when falling
I always liked Rory, but Amy went from one of my least favourite companions to one of my favourites. I think out of all the companions she goes through the most growth. The things she faces challenge not only her view on the universe but her as a person. She'll always care about the Doctor, but she realises there was something so much more important that she had all along. Her arch was beautiful, and I'm glad this is where it ended. No coming back to life or retcons, just the girl who stopped waiting.
1:49 "you think you'll just come back to life?!" "When don't I!"
Well he does have a point
Yknow the sad thing is that
Since Rory still gets sent back at the end,he’s still the angels prey.
They jump off the building infinitely, but Rory will always be the one in the hotel room, perishing by himself as an infinite food source.
No he won't, that future changes, he lives out the rest of his life with Amy instead
I love how the Doctor screams at 3:02
Why is everyone hating on Danny so much?
+Warsrecker Just a boring character imo, but the biggest problem was the writing surrounding him.
Pretty much a controlling jerk throughout the series, him being a soldier was hardly used until it had to be, and his death wasn't really that sad as he hated the doctor
daaaammmnn
Warsrecker This has nothing to do with this clip...
2:39 ok none is looking the Angel, but probably he is standing there thinking:" this love story is better then Twilight, i want see how it end"
