how to check capacitor without multimeter

welcome. In this video, I have shown how to test capacitor without using a multimeter. With this method, you can easily identify good or bad electrolytic capacitors. Hare i am using series line.
It is very often the circuit stop working due to a bad capacitor. If you don't have a multimeter to test a capacitor then you can refer to this method. First, you have to check the top portion of an electrolytic capacitor. If you find the top position is flat then the capacitor is in good condition but if the top portion is inflated then you should replace the capacitor. Thus you can identify the good or bad capacitor.
Again this is not an accurate method to test capacitor but if you don't have any multimeter then you can follow this method for testing good or bad capacitor.#celling fan

What about the capacitor are you checking? The first one works fine, it's just not as high capacity. Also this is not good for the capacitor nor is it a conclusive test. Your using AC which is not good for DC capacitors and if you are using lower voltage capacitors on mains, you can cause them to explode. Please don't do this. There's no need to do this and it accomplishes nothing other than a small spark. Use a multimeter if you really need to test capacitors

Second one is better but not ok either or he would have used a green arrow, not s red one. Youre supposed to use a resistor to discharge them. And as previously mentioned, ac is not good for dc capacitors. Nor is overvoltage. With the bulb in the circuit, how much voltage is he applying? If he can afford a camera, he can afford a cheap harbor freight dmm
