    Hi, excuse me
    Do You think that the AKG lyra is better for singing than the rode?
    I hear more clear and loud the Rode 🤔
    If the price doesn't matter, which of both do you recommend?

    • @eduardo.enrique
      @eduardo.enrique 2 года назад

      @Cam but lyra sounds flatter and less louder 🤔
      Maybe he says that for the price difference

    • @eduardo.enrique
      @eduardo.enrique 2 года назад

      @Cam I want just USB, because I want it to record with my Android cellphone
      If you will use on a PC maybe is better with card... 🤔 But for the price I don't know... I saw a audiotecnica at2020 with the card at 140 dollars on Amazon, I heard that it is a good microphone
      But I don't know 🤔
      I was thinking to buy the Shure sv51 but it is more for iphone 🤔

      With what we have tried in the studio, the Lyra appears to have better clarity

      eso pensaba yo bro, queria comprar el samson g track pro por que resaltaba mucho los grabes y frecuencias de medios rasposas. no se si lo quieres para grabar ? pero yo me decidi por el lyra por que la mayoria de frecuencias que resaltan los otros se cortan en la mezcla aaaa y el yeti esta muy bueno igual pero tiene unas frecuencias altas que no me gustan es buen mic ese usaba lil peep en sus inicios. depende para que lo quieras y de cuanto sea tu presupuesto pero vaya que mire muchos reviews y por menos de 3k creo que esta muy bien

    Just now ordered the AKG Lyra after listening to comparison videos such as this one. Will these work with an android S8 phone?
    It is mainly for my PC but hoping it will work with my phone too. If so, will I need additional connecters? and, what kind?

    • @Noisegate
      @Noisegate  2 года назад +1

      This is from AKG: Android OTG Devices (9+): Connect your included USB C-to-USB A cable to output into an OTG (On the Go) adapter, which connects to your phone. Many newer Android phones include an OTG adapter in the box to assist in data transfer from your old phone to your new phone> More info here: www.akg.com/akg-lyra.html

    Hi great vid. I’m looking to record some trumpet on Audacity (yeah I know it’s ancient but that’s what my friend uses). Would you go with the Yeti over the Rode? I kind of preferred the Rodes sound on your demos, it sounded slightly clearer/crisper to me.

    • @Noisegate
      @Noisegate  3 года назад +3

      Hey, If the Rode sounds slightly clearer/crisper, then go with the Rode. Always trust your own ears we say...

    • @Noisegate

      Hi Vlad, definitely the Lyra as it records at a higher quality which means richer ASMR recordings

    K I had a Rode for over 3 years given to me by a friend. It had an elastic double wrapped around it, which I never knew why, and I also never removed it.
    About 3 weeks ago, some person at my house took the elastic from the mic for some reason, and although the next recording I did was ok, the one after it wouldn't work. The blue light kept going off, unless I held the cord in place. I put an elastic on and I thought it fixed the problem, but whenever I put the mic down for any reason and picked it back up (i never had a mic stand), it would go off.
    I decided to get a Blue yeti X on sale just yesterday. I use it for youtube videos like this here, and for singing.
    I notice you say that I shouldn't handle the blue yeti when recording. Now, does that apply for the Rode mic as well?

    Thanks for the review!
    I currently use the AKG Lyra and I'm thinking of switching to the Blue Yeti, because the AKG Lyra seems much too sensitive for my taste (picking up background noises and echoes around the room).. As such, I was hoping that you'd show a lot of voice samples with it.
    But what I saw was only a singular sentence being said on each microphone, hardly a good indicator of how different they sound.... It would have been much better if you went into the position you were in on 5:29 and used each mic in said position, so we could see what conditions you were under.
    I appreciate the review, but unfortunately it's not detailed enough for me.. Just thought you'd like to know!

      Blue yeti is equally bad if not worse for picking up background noise. Both are condenser mics.

    You say the Blue Yeti has a "robust build quality"... That means nothing if its connections are cheap. I had a Yeti X and 8 months later it was sent back for a refund under warranty. Why? Because the connection port is rubbish. And the same thing about it was being said by multiple reviewers... connection drops...can't rely on this... In my case the cable was loose in the socket on the bottom of the Yeti and the audio was patchy. Until it finally kept cutting out completely.
    I'm not buying another...!
