Hello, good review. When using headphones, with the AKG there is a lot of noises from the hits on the desk. Funny when change its pattern to omni noises disappear. To me AKG sound better than the other two.
I don't think so. The rode mini comes with some great software that might help with background noise rejection. But, neither microphones is good on it's own.
I appreciate that you also compare with Rode NT USB mini too. I enjoy your review. My current mic is Rode NT Mini although I feel like upgrading it after 1 year of use. It can sound very flat and condense.
The random clicks & splatter from the Blue Nano is disappointing. As I type, I hear your commentary echoing the same! 🤝 I like the warmth of the Ara for conferencing, vlogging & training material commentary. Thanks for your work - really helpful.
Blue Nano sounds harsh and most on the treble side. As far as the AKG is concerned It should actually work the opposite way when switching to omnidirectional. Cardioid is suppose to only capture the sounds from one side of the mcirophone but it does opposite in this case. Though the sound quality is better than Blue nano
Yep. Its really a strange situation. I'm looking forward to seeing some other reviews of the this mic to see if other people are having similar issues. Thanks for the comment!
Wow the akg looks and sound beautiful... The blue really sounded very harsh and horrible... Now I am just confised between this mic and the AKG p120 xD
Came here because i do some research on Rode usb mini, i'm a streamer and lately interested to do some voiceover, can i use the rode mini for voiceover? i mean, is it good for starting a voiceover with it? thanks in advance
You know, I wouldn't recommend the Rode Mini for VO. It doesn't seem to have a wide enough frequency response. If you are looking for a USB mic, my favorite right now is either the Neom or the Bumble bee 2.
Thanks. Was very helpfull. Now I use ara for well everything, chat and recording (singing, guitar, speak) and my boom is much wealer than in your video but it is there. for recording of singing and so on it is not problem for me. Buuut for normal usage I figure it out. I own rtx gpu (nvidia rtx) and in combination with nvidia broadcast it is perfect. btw broadcast is denoiser for everything based on neural machine learning so yeah cheat but for recording i dont use it. just mentioning. Still even without denoiser noone have a problem from people around me so i was satisfiet and am satisfiet :)
The Rode Mini is the "perfect height" to fit in between your keyboard and monitor without interfering or blocking your view for "most" setups. The quality is pretty darn good too.
Yep I am a Rode fan i have the PodMic, never liked Anything Blue has some weird artifacts. Yes I heard the crackling, seems like USB traffic packets bleeding thru from the diigtal to analog side.
Got the AKG today, seeing your review multiple times, Thx a lot
Great to hear!

Thanks for watching!
I'm getting the AKG! thank you for this
Awesome, glad it was helpful.
Appreciate your analysis and thoughtful presentation.
Glad it was helpful!
Loved the review, but what make the time for me was your funny way and jokes to narrate the comparison. :)
Thanks!
Thankyou sir , you did the hard work so not everyone has to do it. Cheers , you have earned yourself a subscription. Cheers
Thank you for the video. What usb mic would you recommend for singing ?
Is the AKG Ara better than rode mini in terms of noise cancelling? please reply
I don't think so. The rode mini comes with some great software that might help with background noise rejection. But, neither microphones is good on it's own.
Yes, this is the best budget mic for teachers like me who live in Jakarta, Indonesia. I think this is the most honest review of AKGARA on RUclips.
Thanks for the comment!
akhirnya beli AKG ARA kah pak guru?
@@sepvanvaleriofficial iya sudah dong 😀👍🏻

I'm still waiting on my replacement mic. My fingers are crossed that the new one won't have that noise issue.
Appreciate ur hardwork and honest review. Thanks it was very helpful.👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
After watching your video, I bought AKG ARA and yeah the quality is really great!
Glad you like it.
And no issue in kardio mode like in this review?
Is it good for Vocal recording??
@@SartajStarkSheikh yes. Good for vocal recording like podcasting etc.
Amazing! Thx from Brazil!
Welcome!
Thank you very much for you comparison! I am planning to buy one AkG
Glad I could help!
@@creatorsvillage I bought a Akg Lyra and going to test it soon
Thanks for your very helpful review
Glad it was helpful!
super helpful! thanks!
Glad to hear it!

But why those it picks up all my pop n noise from my mouth making my recording sound horrible. What can I do using that mic ?
Mouth noise is tricky. see my video on how to help reduce mouth noise.
Hi, thanks for the detailed review, very helpful. The AKG ARA won out for me!
Glad it helped
I want AKG it looks nice :D
Yep, it's pretty.
Thanks for this vid man.
Does the AKG Ara & Rode Mini work on iphone 13?
As long as you're using an Apple media adaptor, it should. Thanks for watching!
Ara l liked... But i would like to know your opinion about lyra.. if possible
Thank you so much for the review. AKG ARA is sound very good but it pick up the vibration very easily.
Totally agree
@@creatorsvillage It is also make out of metal. AGK lyra make out of plastic and it cost higher.
I appreciate this video !! Thanks for using your money for our needs !!
You bet!
I like your videos, very interesting, keep going!
Thanks, will do!
Between akg Lyra, rode mini usb, and neat king usb mic which one is better for singing? Desk noise will not be an issue for me.thanks
FYI, Rode does not have a mute button. I've contacted Rode and asked them to consider adding one...
Hmmm. I thought when you pressed the volume button, it muted the mic. I'm pretty sure it does. I'll have to go and make sure.
somehow it does really muted your mic with rode connect on
Great review
Thanks!
Does the boominess in your voice go away if you adjust the gain in your computer settings?
Not really, the problem is in the way the capsule is isolated from the body of the mic.
This was immensely helpful! Thanks for the great review!
Glad it was helpful!

Nice video! A bit confused between Ara and Hyperx solo cast, what's your suggestion?
I haven't tested the Hyper-x, but if you're concerned about handling noise, I would get the ARA.
I know it's been a year but which one did you get? I am also confused between those two (even though they are in a different price range)
Wow the akg looks and sound beautiful... The blue really sounded very harsh and horrible... Now I am just confised between this mic and the AKG p120 xD
Is there a noise canceling circuit in the akg mic
I don't think so. I'm still waiting on my replacement mic.
It's a good review but can you share your opinion on Audio Technica ATR2500x?
Sadly, I have never used or tested that mic.
do you think the akg ara will be any good for vocals for singing?
I wish I could answer that question. I'm not qualified.
I'm thinking of buying the ara but it's picking up desk noise so much. You said to put it on a boom arm, but I didn't hear much difference.
Yeah it picks up a lot of desk noise. It's a big down side. I suggest to keep looking.
great job!!!! thx ....
Glad you liked it!
try JZ mic V67

The AKG sounds way better. I can let go of the noise on the boom arm. But the audio quality is legendary.
Thanks for the comment
The AKG sounds better on your voice. Compared to the Rode, it sounds fuller.
My thoughts too.
Is it good for asmr sound or pls recommend me some asmr microphone in budget 100-150$
Gosh, I’m sorry, I’ve never done ASMR. But this mic is really sensitive to handling, so maybe not the ARA. Maybe the Tempest or the NEOM.
@@creatorsvillage thanks for your opinion
Nice microphone
Looks good, sounds ok.

The Blue Nano seems to have some sort of buzz / static noise coming through in the recording.
yeah. I noticed that.
Ara ara!
Thanks!

.. _Many newer TVs and most every streaming box has Bluetooth built-in so you can wear wireless headphones easily._
.. OMG the Nano is popping like crazy, it's terrible!
Thanks for your comment.
Samsung buys out AKG and makes a cheaper version of the Lyra. Where will it end?
Circle of life.
Yep I am a Rode fan i have the PodMic, never liked Anything Blue has some weird artifacts. Yes I heard the crackling, seems like USB traffic packets bleeding thru from the diigtal to analog side.
Good Catch.
The Rode Mini DOES NOT have a mute button
I know, crazy.
Nice job bro, u did a nice job, nice voice... I own a mini, but I find AKG much warmer, better bass n better mids
Cool. Glad you liked it, thanks for the kind words.
Hey i am very confused! Should i buy akg or mini? I mean isn't akg very sensitive and pick ups a lot of noise?
AKG is now 69 dollars on Amazon
Great!
Nano blue produce static noise
yep
❤
Thanks
its kinda crazy to hear how bad the yeti nano is!!! honestly, i just sold mine. what a pile of trash!!!
It's not my favorite.
