CAn you please teach your audience on how to use it on android phone or in laptop? Please teach the proper set up. Do we need to download apps for it to be used or just plug and play? I am about to smash my newly bought AKG Ara condenser mic to the floor out of frustration. It does not work exactly the way like yours do. Pharmacy technician here and I know why your special gum works. I searched the ingredients and found that it gets it's tangy flavour from a compound called xylitol. This compound is also the active ingredient in commercial products that are prescribed for the treatment of severe dry mouth, such as Biotene mouthwash. When people have clinical dry mouth (often as a medication side effect) and their doctors suggest buying Biotene, pharmacists will often suggest they find a gum that uses xylitol at the dollar store for a fraction of the price.

I already have a 990 for casual vo work but I’m now looking to do it more formally. While looking at the eye watering prices of the Neumanns and was really planning to pull the trigger on a TLM 103 until I stumbled upon this MXL V87 and a 14 year old demo. It sounds nice and I also found one for a great deal on Amazon for under $130, so I’m going to give it a go! 🤞🏽 If I can build a decent client base with this microphone then I’ll revisit the Neumann question later.

The answer you're looking for is peppermint contains menthol. It helps open nasal passageways and thins mucus. The chewing motion also helps loosen and open the passageways even further. Much better than just using nasal sprays.

The good news is no more clicks. The bad news is now I have the sound of broken crowns and fillings rattling around my mouth.

AT 2040 looks better, I like dynamic microphones which are not fully frequency Response. So AT 2040 is my choice since it has 80 Hz to 16 kHz of frequency Response.

great!!! sounds like trash blue ember + ssl2+ or presonus 26c + dbx286s and blue ember or AT875R and you are fine, Samson G-Track Pro is the best usb mic i heard so far and still XLR blue ember at 43 dollars is KING or zoom h6

blue ember greatest mic price performance 43 dollars right now, put that with dbx286s and red pepper will lose gigs lol if you are getting started and you are lazy and you don't want to build a quiet rom, that's the one is silent, will work without a pop filter and without a treated room i got 3 of those after that just go to AT875R Neuman TLM102/103 senn-mkh416 JZ V67 480 dollars audio interface RME or Focusrite and avalon 737p or UAD710 or Golden age premier73 that's it.

Thinking about getting the K688. Seems more neutral, which will likely allow me to 'simulate' the FDUCE. Whereas with the FDUCE, you're kinda stuck with the same EQ.

Ive used the M Audio Producer usb for almost 20 year and it still works today very good usb mic. I do believe it wouod be great for if someone had a recording booth. Because it does pick up every single noise in background. but its great. However i just bought this Akg ara this year cause i wanted a new usb mic amd the numbers for the frequencies are what I needed. And it actually is more of a crisp sound which i also liked about this one . I recommend tnis mic .

Great video and fantastic instruction on delivering a top-notch performance. But one question: you're recording digitally. Why not just go back and delete the breaths in your DAW?

This is old video... but here is whats funny since he is so focused on the brand. if this was released as Sub $100 SHURE MIC - it would be reviewed and graded based on that alone. I have seen many reviews and this was was the worst for trying to make this mic seems worst. I have multiple including Shure SM7b and its not as like he makes it seem. Then again this was 2 years ago...

for my ears .. the Q9U sounds a bit crappy *sorry*. you've said and wrote so many times "not for professional situations", of course not, it`s an great amateur mic with semi-professional sound, professionals know that and they use professional equipment. 416’s not good for character work. Cause that requires being further away from the mic. But you lose that resonance from the proximity effect and have less depth in your voice. The MKH 50 on the other hand, is perfect for this. Doesn’t matter what genre of VO you work in. You can back off that baby cause it is POWERFUL. And if you find the signal to be too low, boost it as needed in post. Definitely don’t give it too much gain while recording.

Totally agree, one of the worst sounding microphones by a big brand in this price segment. Bought four for the body (20 a piece on a sale) and kept one as a bad example. Just look at the frequency response of this mic, compare it with others and you know what i mean, before even hearing it. The mic is massively missing lowend and is also "only" an electret condenser microphone with cheap innards. I use the housing for prototypes.
