    USB cables aren't all the same. Some, like your Logitech cable, appear only to be for power and charging. Others are bor both power and data. You need the latter for your unit to function. Nice mic.

    This guy makes video-editing and presentation so natural and effortless. A lot of people try to interject little angle-changes, or surprise visual insertions to "try" to add some humor. But usually it comes off as desperate or amatureish. But Mr. Voiceover pulls it off! And the perfect lighting; Colorful studio; Pleasant speaking-voice. Thank you, Voiceover Village! The Rabbit has spoken. Peace out!

    I got this mic and can confirm it works with the ipad pro/ipad mini with the ipad usb-c cable that comes with the ipad - it's just plug and play and works fine with Ferrite. It's an amazing little on-the-go option and I've been really surprised by it's practical versatility (like using it as an interface). Hot tip: The mic sounds great and while it is sensitive to plosives, I keep mine in a basic fabric glasses case and found if I just leave that over it when recording, that helps a lot. This really is just a great little mic and has allowed me to a warmer sound doing VO on the road than I was getting with zoom devices. I absolutely love it.

    The power off and power back on to be recognized is a Mac problem, not an USB-C issue. My old m-audio interface does the same thing. To be recognized on Mac, connect it with software already open. That's backwards from Windows, as it best recogniizes an old/new device's connection if connected prior to opening any software.
    Also, the reason some dont show a light is also the specific USB-C cable, as USB C has about 12 different versions. I suggest getting Usb c 3.2 gen 1or better.

    After a few months of not using the Tula, I've tried 7 different cables today and had no connection to Windows with ANY of them. It's so frustrating. This mic has been wonderful the few times I've used it, but its so unreliable when trying to use it on a computer. If I recorded in mobile mode, I'm not sure I'd be able to get the files off.

    • @creatorsvillage
      @creatorsvillage  2 года назад

      Hmmm, This is tricky because i don't know much about the samsungs. But in general, I would check your recording levels on the app, Check the gain settings on the Tula, and if all else fails, use the Tula as a stand alone recorder and sync the vid to the audio later. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

    • @TulaMics
      @TulaMics 2 года назад +2

      Hi Eric, all smartphones will automatically set a USB mic as the input AND the output. So you'll need to monitor via the headphone jack on the Tula. If you're recording with your phone and want to listen to the playback on the phone's speakers, just unplug the Tula and the phone will make the phone's speakers the output again. It's a drag that one can't choose input and output sources manually on phones that way you can on a computer but sadly, it's beyond our control.

    Did you have any issues with Zoom switching microphone erratically during calls? I am using Beats headphones for my Speaker, and a Tula mic for the Microphone. During the call, my mic was being flipped back and forth between my sleeping web cam and my Tula, so I disconnected the cam. Then it started flipping the mic between my headphones and the Tula. The other people on the call did not detect any difference in how I sounded so I don't actually think the mic was changing at all. However, I was getting constant Zoom popups telling me about the mic change, and when that happened, the sound in my headphones kept changing. Such a weird situation. I checked Google and I think this is a known-issue. I found a long thread in the Zoom community forums and I see Mac users as well as Windows users with the same issues. I just want to pic a mic and a speaker and have Zoom use those instead of constantly switching for no reason.

It looked like it was even charging but it stopped working. I sent that one back and got ANOTHER Tula Mic and after a week THAT ONE STOPPED TURNING ON!!! I love the mic when it works but it just stops turning on and it won't charge with a wall charger, battery bank, computer, nothing! Am I doing something wrong? Did I get two lemons?
