  • Pressure tester available here: mercedessource.... Common on Mercedes from 1970 to 1975 and others with early Bosch electronic fuel injection. These injectors fire with an electric pulse, so testing differs from C.I.S. Jetronic fuel injectors.

Kent you are my go to man ,I have a 74 r107 with this injection system and a few friends with it too. We are hungry for this type of information and any kits that will help us, love ya man.

That is a very neat and useful setup for testing electric injectors. A few words of advice to people who don't know. Never buy fuel hoses that say universal fuel hose. No such thing as a universal fuel hose, it just means it is a cheap replacement for the real thing. I see these a lot for sale in hardware stores and they don't last more than 3 years or even less. Major fire hazard with them as well so if you want good and reliable fuel hoses, check the lettering and pressure on the hose(aka read the label or lettering on the hose). If possible go to a shop that specifies to hydraulics or pressurized hoses to get the real and correct thing.

We've been waiting for this video. The white nylon connectors at the loom's ends have turned to dust. What is the best way to repair/replace these please?

Someone told me to bleed fuel pressure by pulling the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it died. Could you do any harm that way, other than forgetting to put the fuse back in when you are done:)

Yeah, that is the "word on the street." I do not like that method as it injects excessive raw gas into the cylinders. (it really won't "run until it dies)." It just cranks over and sputters a little until the fuel is drained out via the fuel injectors. Here is the depressurization method I developed: mercedessource.com/store/1970-1976-d-jetronic-fuel-system-depressurization-kit
