I bought one that Apogee sells and absolutely love it. The only time I don’t use it is if the rocket design precludes it. Even on through wall fins. If you use CA glue and accelerant you can get all your fins on in mere minutes. It’s worth every penny.
Jo- Just received my package today (ordered two sets in order to have a spare jig.) Now i need to acquire the hardware parts and give it a try...Thanks!
@@gregarious_one so the bolts are M4 and 15mm in length (my angle plates are around 1mm thick). The threaded bars are M5 and around 18cm long, but there are no rules really. The angle plates on mine are around 35cm long.
Nice little gadget that. Might have to put one together if I ever get around to rocketry, which I am of course massively interested in, but have zero time for.

Looks fantastic, I just ordered one.
Hey thanks for ordering I've just packed it ready for postage tomorrow.
Wow, what a pleasure it’s been using this jig. I’m currently using it for a 3 stage Estes Comanche. I’m so happy with it I had to share.
Steve! So happy you're getting good use from it. I've loved using mine!

Excellent, hope you enjoy it. It's a handy tool for sure.
@@concretedog7427 do you happen to have the lengths on the rails and the bolts as well as the diameter of the bolts?

@@concretedog7427 Thanks so much! Now I have to convert to Imperial. ;)
Upgrade idea, ... make another piece that sets the fin width! 😁👍👍🇺🇲

Looks good, I wonder about 3d printing the supports!
Yeah I considered 3dprinting, but there's a lot to be said for mdf and steel all thread.. its solid and you can adjust it really square.
@@concretedog7427 to be fair if I had a laser cutter it is the way I would go!
Great idea! 😁👍👍🇺🇲
