Today we are reviewing and testing the SumoSprings from SuperSprings! After a long summer of beating our Sprinter Campervan half to death on hundreds of miles of off road driving conditions. It is now time for a much needed suspension upgrade for the Sprinter van. After talking with many vanlifers this summer it seems like the most cost effective way to improve the quality of your campervans ride on the road and off, is by getting a set of front and rear SumoSprings for the rig.
Prior to this upgrade our van had a very rough sway and seemed to be riding very rough on dirt roads as well as having harsh bumps on highway joints. We had to drive very slow on dirt roads because we would have so much sway that we would have to stop at points to let it level out. Our Sprinter Campervan is just about at Capacity weight so we needed to do something ASAP.
In this video we will discuss what SumoSprings are and how they work. Also we walk you quickly through the installation process. Last, we will be putting the new SumoSprings to the test to give you a before and after comparison. While the differences don't seem that drastic on video. We feel like the Sumosprings have vastly improved the quality of our ride both on and off road. We couldn't recommend these springs more! Now we see why so many other vanlifers have recommended sumosprings to us.
If you have a diy campervan that shakes and wobbles and seems like it needs new suspension. We recommend installing a set of sumosprings before you go and pay for new shocks, sway bars, and other expensive suspension items.

That's so funny, we literally just posted a video on how to install sumo springs! We've been impressed with them so far!
They really do wonders we have been living it!
Of all the Sumo spring videos I have looked at you have the best real life review of the results. Thank you.
Yeah we try to keep it real. We really are glad we have upgraded since this video they do make a big difference.
Nice to see you guys. I'm intrigued by the Sumo Springs. Nice upgrade. Thanks for the stickers and happy holidays.
Terry! We love the Team Cletus! Yeah they have made a major difference.
Its good to see you posting again, you were missed.
I hope all is well with you two.
Sumo springs are a nice upgrade.
I installed a heavy rear anti swaybar in the rear and it completely changed and improved the ride and stability of the van.
I put airbags in the rear and plan to put the Sumo springs on the front.
A set of 3500 springs is also an option for a heavy van build.
A thumbs up 👍
Sway bars and air bags seem nice 👍
Why manufacture did not install them?
We added those SS to the front the first week of ownership but out back to counter the sag of the moto hanging off we added air bags from Air Lift. I like how they are fully adjustable so you can fine tune the ride based on load. And good to see you guys, hope your stayin warm!
That’s awesome! Yeah it’s chilly out here
Welcome back our wonder van!! nice upgrade to you van. I'll do my research before diving in.
Thanks Herman!
I am so lucky sumosprings were already on my van when I got it. Thanks for the stickers Kookz
Thats dope! Yeah dude no problemo! Hope they look good in the van
Sweet upgrade! I bet it feels like a quality of life level up.
Hey guys! Whats up! They make a major difference. You guys should look into them. We were very impressed. Are you guys still getting after it? It's pretty cold out here!
First Comment! Thanks for the new stickers Kookz! You guys are awesome
I’m glad you got them! Thanks for being the OG Kook!
I installed both front and rear on my MB Sprinter 2500 4x4... a cost effective easy install... nice effective ride quality solution...
Yeah it really helps...
Hi I don't know if you'll see this or you've done it already but... I wached a vid before this one and the problem they had was that they cracked their main frame rails because the weight was now bouncing on the frame itself, not on the springs and shocks and they have to weld and reinforce their frame. So I'd like to know if you've experienced anything close to this, if not, maybe consider reinforcing your camper. Note!! They used air suspension. But I think the summos might give the same problem.
Kooooookz!!!! We are finally back! We've been hiding from the crazy world out there! We got a fresh episode for all you vankookz! We finally got our hands on some @SuperSprings International and man, have they made our lives smoother! In today's video we give a full review of our newest van upgrade - SumoSprings. If you are noticing your van sways and rides pretty bad on and off road you may be in need of some new SumoSprings. Check out the video to see how they do when the kookz put them to the test.

KOOKZ BABY!!!
🙌
Oh I know the sway! Stoked to install these. That .5-1 mph crawl on trails is roughhhhh
When you know... you know... They really helped!
Thank you for the video! I’ve been looking to loose the sway from my hi roof ProMaster and was afraid that the Sumos were just hype.
Yeah they help. But sometimes you need more than the sumosprings.
Sorry to say guys your rear chassis legs need to be reinforced to stop them cracking they are ok for a bump stop but not continuous weight load fitted with air suspension now one with sumo springs are coming in for the uk mot test with cracking of the rear chassis legs
Iv welded a few of these now with 5mm steel plate
Have ur rear chassis checked every few months for your own safety
Where did you get the extra plastic side trim? Thanks
I just painted them with raptor bed liner
Hey Kookz! How are your sumo springs holding up after 7 months? Still a lot less sway? Thanks!
Hey guys! They are still doing great. We were actually talking about how much better our van drives just the other day. Seeing that our van is just like most Americans and overweight.
Upgrading a 9 passenger sprinter with these tomorrow. Hopefully see some ride improvement.
You should. We did
Great video. Would the springs help if I wanted to, say, hit a jump?
Only if you promise to SEEEEENNNNDDD IT!!!
before & after shots on the exact same roads from the same camera position/angle would have been nice for a visual comparison 🚐👍🏽
I know but we are always on the move so we just shot the before shots when we could. We got these while we were in Montana and didn’t install them until we were in New Mexico.

Is your van 4x4?!
No but we pretend. We use GoTreads to get us unstuck a lot.
DO NOT EVER get under a vehicle without axel stands
I know, that’s why I didn’t
@@Vankookz I wrote that as much for others who may come this way as for you
Some things cannot be said often enough.
Never look at the sun through binos or a telescope:-)
Very true! Now I wish I said this in the video! Thanks for looking out.
Damn wasnt expecting an infomercial...
Just 20 installments of $9.99!
Far too expensive for a chunk of rubber, might as well pay the extra and upgrade the leafs, shocks and struts. Also these things are known to crack your frame.
They really do help. They are a bit expensive but I was about to buy new socks. Now I'm happy I just bought these.
prob too much weight for stock suspension lol
Definitely
hello please check email or IG dm. Thanks.
forcement un fourgon de 3.0m de haut a du ballent et vous n'y pourez pas grand chose .....
No comprende amigo!
@@Vankookz google traduction .
These springs will crack your frame. Check out mali mish. Remove them as soon as you can.
The Mali Mish have 100s of videos and I tried to search for suspension and sumosprings and other such searches do not bring up something relevant. Can you pls be kind enough to pass a link. Tnx in advance. The one I found with the tour of the van is just when they installed them to their Mercsprinter 4x4
I doubt that
