4:25 Loved Jon’s IMMEDIATE response of “No” to Luke’s still asking question of “Is it too late to put eyes on the mask”. LOL!
Ellen casually getting a jar of jam open while blindfolded and hands covered in cream and she wonders why she’s the top seed for the zombie apocalypse
My money's on Jane. I feel like Ellen would balk in the face of confronting friends turned into zombies, while I can imagine a scenario such as, "Wow, nice job chopping up zombie Andy and protecting us all, Jane!"
"He was a zombie?"
I see that Andy has fully given up on trying to audit the ongoings of Show of the Weekend.
He just picks up the cheques and assumes they’re doing what needs to be done
@@thejason755 the system works!
Either he gave up or is waiting to do a surprise audit in the future, striking when least expected
He stares through the window like a Victorian ghost, unsure if there will ever be a way back
He's just lulling them into a false sense of security. 🤣
I love Luke's laugh at 5:20, it's so sudden and genuine
A Normal Adult Mans laugh that 😂
He legitimately sounded like he was caught off guard.
Same with Ellen’s laugh at 18:48 !
Sprinkled with John's laughter as well. I had fun watching this.
I love these 2, really cheering me up at home today. Great work everyone :D
Ellen demonstrating to the world that, no matter how delightful the person, every Brit turns into a monster if you mess with their tea 😊
“Wheres the milk!? Wheres the sugar?!”
*muffled sounds of tea violence 😂
That's how we Americans instigated a WAR
It started out so sweet and calm then went to disappointment and slight kitty rage 😂
@@Eric-bq8nd that's accurate 😂
Read it in the history books
19:00 Ellen laughing at Luke
19:02 Ellen realizing what she's looked like for 15 minutes
🤣🤣
18:55
18:57
It changed lol
Ellen clearly has the eyes of a normal adult human here
I like to think Andy watches all of these records with his arms folded and occasionally sighing sadly.
I hope she gives them back.
Just a normal man. Just an innocent man.
@@zq1734 Alright Hacker ;)
good, fine and normal lol
Next week: Blindfolded co-op Overcooked - flame thrower turkey challenge!
There were no survivors.
Luke, Luke. NO! WE DON'T NEED MORE tomatoes!
It's quite sweet how Ellen cupped her hands at the end to make sure Luke didn't drown his laptop in tea.
Clever thinking with Siri. Luke didn't see that coming! I can imagine Ellen being incredibly resourceful in escape rooms & such situations. What devious challenge awaits her next? Lockpicking while underwater?
"Clever thinking with Siri."
Meanwhile, Siri: "Vgbg dcxcfc m"
@@Joe90h Latin, innit.
Green torso. Brightly coloured mask with eyes showing. Ellen's basically a Ninja Turtle in this, isn't she?
Waitrose scones and bonne maman jam, the budget is off the charts for this episode I see :D
They'll have to save up for the next Pokémon magazine episode.
I love Ellen's rage at not milk or sugar. Lol
Jon’s wheeze-laugh at “there is no other spoon” gives me life 😂
The very gentle and theatrical soundtrack while Ellen grows frustrated with the lack of additions to her tea as well as confusing the saucer for the cup really made that a scene of all time.
Between John running to find a marker, Ellen opening the jam with a knife while blindfolded, the siri thing, and Luke giving with the outro with the eyemask on, there are already so many presh mems
I like when John participates, and every time you can hear him laugh or comment counts.
You know, I saw the first part of the title and thought it was going to say, "Making Afternoon Tea Blindfolded to Prove We're British."
I honestly wouldn’t have held it against them if they did lmao
Those last few seconds had me a wee bit terrified for Luke's comp
“Don’t laugh Ellen. It makes it more frightening.” 😂
5:19 my newest presh mem... Luke just EXPLODING with laughter that perfectly captured my inner monologue upon viewing the thumbnail of this video!
7:17 my NEW newest presh mem... Ellen realizing what's she's actually done with her tea when finding that her cup is dry :D
Bonus points for Ellen being a lateral thinker. Pity the tech isn't there yet. Fun video!
This episode was just perfection from beginning to end!
I'm now terrified of Ellen, anyone who can use a knife to pop a jar blindfolded is NOT to be trifled with!
I was ready for an impromptu blindfolded first aid challenge
She is from London after all.
Luke's laugh at 5:20 added a couple years to my lifespan
Most controversial Oxbox video ever not only debating prounciation of Scone but also which order cream and jam go in.
Have they tried playing Tea Party Simulator 2015 by Liens, Power Up to Maximum? I think its just as difficult and funny as doing it in real life. Also I love the stickers on Luke's laptop as well as happy that Ellen did not hurt herself when she held that knife.
Ellen's burst of rage at the lack of milk and sugar, and her steely-jawed working of the jam jar with the butter knife while blindfolded...she may be adorable, but she's also terrifying!
11:43 you can't even want a PSVR 2 without luke showing up and doing this to you and it "rendering this challenge entirely unnecessary" 18:30
My appreciation for Ellen after recognising jam off of touch alone has just skyrocketted!!!
Well it is excellent jam
Luke knows how to set up tea like any average american, a tea bag and some water
That is only one way of making tea.
Any other form is just corruption.
The other way is just pretense.
Props to Ellen for being a great friend at the end there and protecting Luke's laptop from the tea.
Eyes? Terrifying. Hair? On point!
Remember when this was a channel about upcoming video games? This is just better. We always said that they could do anything and it would be enthralling because they're both so lovely, and so it proves. Ahhhh.
Yes I will be replaying 5:19 for ages.
One of the best Oxtra videos I've seen in a while! The eyes on the blindfold really put it over the top.
Butter knife opening technique was pro strats! Also, I stare in American at the butter knife in jam thinking that’s just how I have always done it 😂
This is definitely going to be In 2023s presh mems video. Such a good episode😂
I love how the moment that Ellen shouted "Thumbnail!" is the actual thumbnail for this episode.
Sometimes, Show of the Weekend is a very serious show to discuss upcoming releases and gaming news that doesn't quite fit the main channel. And then there are shows like this one where it's just brilliant comedic chaos from start to finish, and I am here for it. Though I am sorry that Ellen got so horribly and repeatedly scolded throughout. That was unfortunate.
My favorite part of this is Ellen shouting “Where’s the milk or sugar? What’s with this basic tea?!” 😂
Cream on first?! Unsubscribe. :p
Ellen is precious and must be protected at all costs
I would give my life for either of them
I love how Ellen explains her procedure like a professional, while Luke and Jon are just giggling their arses off. :D
And, to actually provide something meaningful: If you have neither screwdriver nor knife, just turn your jam jar on the head and slap it with some force on the bottom. That increases the interior pressure, making it easier to open. And always use your left hand to screw off the lid. These are all experiences you learn with hyper keratosis on your palms. 🙈
Jon is my mood. 😂 This episode was fantastic!
I think this failed the ISO 3103 tea making standard I'm afraid. Ellen getting rightfully miffed when she found she had been sabotaged by the lack of ingredients
Ellen, "My hair looks fine?"
I want to say that's a female question but as a long haired male, it would be a question I'd have if on camera blindfolded.
Ah yes, Show of the Weekend, featuring Normal Adult Men Luke Westaway and Lee Lemon..
First thing to do in fake VR: make tea.
Very British of you all. Very British.
I have one thing to say about this video, and it's
Vgbd dcxcfc m
I thought Ellen opening the jar of jam with a knife while blindfolded was going to go horribly terribly wrong and I was so worried. I guess after all those years of playing a stealthy thief in games, her dexterity stat must be through the roof!
Also, Luke's offended but impressed expression when Ellen tried to message him with Siri was priceless. That was some quick & clever problem solving. Or at least would have been, if it worked.
Idk, I'm just saying Luke accidently flinging his gun across the room and Ellen giggling was ABSOLUTELY worth it in my book.
Paused at 5:28 to answer the door. came back a few minutes later and wondered for a second why Ellen was cosplaying as Leela from Futurama.
17:41 virtually gone, bad day. Don’t come, xenophobe, can’t forget crimes. Mate.
Ellen is simply saying she is enjoying her VR experience and that if you have a problem with that, then your close minded prejudices are not wanted here. Mate.
Vitally generating bone density. Don’t catch X-rays, can’t fight cancer, mutations
Ellen was just powering up with her VR headset and didn’t want like to accidentally expose himself to the byproducts of that process. Obviously.
I want to see a bigsetup like this on some new tech and then Luke Pulls out a copy of Pokemon Magazine.
this might be one of the best show of the weekend episodes yet
And the Cream proves once again that Grease is a powerful spell
Waitrose scones and Bonne Maman jam?? Glad to see that Luke has been given a healthy props budget this year. ;-)
New eyed Ellens afternoon tea skills are top shelf.
more Ellen making things blind folded plz 😌😂
A _Waitrose_ scone? Wow. You guys are putting your hands in your pockets!
That Planet of the Apes stream was hands down the funniest video ever! Just to finish the line in the clip (say it with me now folks): "Why is that an option in the game?" 🤣🤣👏🏼
Lid grip is compromised I REPEAT LID GRIP IS COMPROMISED!!!!
I see where Ellen and Luke stand on the cream/jam debate for scones (the correct side, I might add)
I love the creativity of Oxtra
I love that the world is so connected. A continent away, and we enjoy the same pretentious jam.
Tea and Scones, the British VR test.
The laughs and cackles going on throughout this whole scenario had me snickering along with you guys even if my throat is still torn from being sick half the week. Watching Ellen make a Sloppy Scone while literally blindfolded was intriguing and hilarious to observe if one forgets that it's got anything to do with VR tech. The bit with Siri was pure genius even if that and actual texting sadly didn't work like she hoped.
Fun times you guys, loved it like always!
Presh mems!!!! Thank you Ellen & Luke ❤️🔥
Luke has certificates out the wazoo! there is probably a cream for that
Nah, they're jammed...
"We're going to have you prepare tea and a scone with clotted cream while blindfolded as part of the most British challenges ever", apparently.
But it was green tea! If it was properly British, wouldn't the tea have been Yorkshire Gold, as decreed by the most Spiffing Brit, the most British person ever?
The scones were well done though, good on Ellen for that.
I haven't seen the "Kingsman" prequel, but I assume the same challenge was part of the agents' training in that movie too?
@@typacskYep and that's why 007 gets all of his drinks verbally
Came here to say this. So, what is the American challenge then?
Are you sure that cream wasn't butter? If that's the consistency of cream that Poms put on their scones then I understand why you'd put cream first. I live in sub-tropical Queensland, refrigerated jam first (because if you leave jam out it will grow mould), then cream, usually whipped or extra thickened cream. Fun fact: if you try and shake low fat cream to whip it, you're likely to make butter before you get whipped cream, happened to me once.
This was absolutely hilarious, well done!
I regret trying to watch this whilst drinking, my keyboard now needs a clean...
So... I decide to test my mettle and I drafted a text (also with my eyes shut) to Luke - with what would be my response to the hypothetical conversation and would you believe it - there was only one word spelt incorrectly. I think this does indeed prove - I am immersed in the world of technology a little too much.
When do the Producer Jon Artist's Edition eye masks go on sale?
It seems only fair that, as Luke got the PSVR1 for all that Brachiating fun, Ellen should get the PSVR2 if Sony only send one
That's just common decency
Its so sad that Ellen can't afford a butler who also pours tea after delivering it :)
It's jam first, then cream. CORNISH METHOD SUPREMACY
Anyone here like the movie "Bloodsport"? It gave me a thought- "(luke) (sip) oh yes good tea, very good tea... ... (Karate chop to the windpipe outta nowhere!) (Ellen catches it at the wrist without flinching)...
(sip)... yes, very good tea."
Wow, some butler that is. Doesn't even pour your tea. Hard to find good help nowadays 😂
Lyrics:
Where’s the milk?!
Or oat milk or something?
Where’s the sugar?
Wh-who what is this tea for!?
Who’s make-….this absolutely basic tea!
What’s the point of having a spoon? OW!
Luke is using "power moves" against Ellen
super effective!!
Ellen was inflicted with "Lazy Eye"..
pssttt.. place your thumb at the rim of the cup to "feel" the water level
Another entertaining show of the weekend! ^.^
I was amazed at Ellen opening the jam jar with a knife while blindfolded and half expected the scones to be much worse but she did it!
Honestly love the content you guys and gals come up with and the infectious laughter, keep it up 😊❤
This was great! I live with a blind man and by the second tea-pouring attempt, Ellen had learned the most important rule - use your hands! (How my dad manages to pour actual boiling water without scalding himself, I will never understand.) I think, however, you should fire that butler for bringing your tea un-poured and your scone un-creamed. Also, you two British heathens put the cream on FIRST?!! Madness. Jam, then cream.
Ellen with the eyes on her blindfold looks like a Ninja Turtle
forget Horizon games, give me antagonizing Oxbox and Oxtra while they're blindfolded as my VR experience 😂
20,000 Cornishmen shall know the reason why they all shouted WHAT?! NO! at this video
Pleasantly surprised the comment section isn't just one big argument over whether the cream or jam goes first.
I avoid the controversy altogether and put cream on one half jam on the other then squish them together like a cake 😂
That's because they got it right first time.
6:13 Ah, yes. They OX team are British.
See, for Americans, this would be coffee, and it's _supposed_ to be terrible and hurt you. ;)
This has been one of my favorite bits so far. The slightly off-kilter second eye absolutely killed me!
18:23 (or rather 18:32) ... well I beg to differ about this challenge being unneccessary...
Ellen washed her handed before doing this "IN THE BLOOD OF HER ENEMIES"
Reeling at the revelation that Luke and Ellen BOTH put cream on the scone first. The psychopaths.
I love this channel but the sacrilege of putting clotted cream on first before the jam, disgusting. This is Devon propaganda! 😂
Optimally the butler would've already prepared the tea and scones to your liking
And cue the British civil war. Much like the red vs white roses of days gone by, now so cometh the War between Cream and Jam. Oh yes it sounds unimportant and of course it is, yet so many of us are prepared to die on the hill know as which one goes first. Seriously if you think Dark souls is brutal get two people of opposing opinions and watch the bloodshed and carnage.
Good luck to the RUclips Algorithm in trying to place this weeks's episode of show of the week into the video game category
I can pin point the exact video that made me subscribe! THIS ONE!
Show of the Weekend, Show of the Year more like.
Interesting to see that different consistencies in jam and cream change make sense to change to order. In Australia, generally we have thicker jam and much looser cream, making putting cream on first a disaster.
PS2 VR? Might be able to run Desert Bus VR with the graphic settings on low. ;)
What an awful butler. They should be preparing everyone and hand feeding things to you. Ellen should really look at hiring better help.
