Totally agree , the international break in my opinion, is a God send. Two weeks of working together, understanding, strengths, and weaknesses in individuals forming partnerships and getting to know your role in the team. I don't believe we have turned into a bad team overnight, we have signed some quality players, and the players we have kept, I believe we are a top six side. So let's start our season with a 2-0 win at Millwall. Because let's face it, the only way is up. COYH
I agree that the break has come at a good time. I'm still not convinced that the current front line can deliver the goals.. The wrong person holds the captains badge . There is a very fine line between being good and being good at a certain level. We could have scored goals against QPR but the reality is those that can DO. Our frontline needs an injection of pace, quick thinking and a finish. bring on the Millwall game..
It’s got be good thing this international break because last 3 games except Portsmouth been disaster so now got nearly all squad available Edwards can sort out mess and get our season back on track we got support Edwards and back him we can’t do Watford and sack him after few games let’s get behind the boys
Let's hope so, Lewis. Still think we're short up front going forward this season. Rob Edwards set lofty ambitions to win this league, but ultimately we are not that sort of club. We are not an Aston Villa, Newcastle or Leeds going down and should be bouncing straight back. The resources are just not there at Luton. I think realistically we are going to finish mid table and if we make the playoffs it's a bonus.
I also totally agree the break has come at the right time for us. Morale has obviously gone a bit weird so I would get Tom Lockyer to get everyone together and try some team building exercises maybe a golf competition we need the bonding between them all to return. Tom was a good leader on the pitch and hopefully he can do that off the pitch now. I would make McGuiness the Captain as he is a strong presence at the back for us and get Tom to work with him on that role. McGuiness was Cardiffs vice captain I believe. If my maths is right there are still over 120 points to play for so as you say, our season starts at Millwall! Millwall 0 Luton 3! COYH
The break is good, because it will allow us to return to a fully fit squad. McGuiness seems to be a very expensive player, for as far as I can see, cover for injuries. Burke, Mengi and Bell are surely our best back three. Walters and Doughty as wing-backs. The midfield and forward line are the crux of our problems. Chong and Clark are creative, but they don't win any tackles, virtually none. Nakamba is crucial, as he does win tackles and can pass the ball. Baptiste is strong on the ball and a decent player and I'm guessing Krauss is going to be similar. So, there is our midfield three. The break hopefully means that Jacob Brown will be fit and available, if not, what is going on? Morris has to be dropped. We are trying to play a high press with forward who appears to lack pace and energy, two things that Brown has, in abundance.Adebayo is a confidence player and is lacking confidence, because of the breakdown in the system, it's just not working with the current formation and selections. With Brown doing the donkey work, I think Adebayo will regain confidence and start to fire. We have a very good squad and it WILL come good.
Walters, McGuiness, Mengi, Burke, Alfie Krauss, Baptise, Chong Morris, Adebayo Clark and Nakamba can also rotate in the midfield with Walsh/ Zack impact subs. Jacob Brown, Hashi and Lockyer coming back also for more options in attack/ defence. Things will improve.
Can I also add that Zack Nelson is going to be a superstar for us, whether it be sometime during this season, or next. It will happen.

I think Tom Krauss is going to be starting
he was bought injured and still is
Definitely need a behind closed doors game

krauss is injured
@@kennykool53 As I said, Nakamba can come in.
Luton always turn things around
Maybe a good thing but how many players do we have that want to leave . A lot
Back 4 - Walters / Mcguinness / Mengi or Burke / Bell
Midfield 3 - Baptiste / Marv / Alfie
Forwards - Carlton / Elijah / Taylor
He’s not going to play a back 4
Alfie in the midfield? No way
@@adambiggs1691 Its where he used to play, he's never been strong defending...
@@LewisWilliamsLTFC Lets see ;-)
just wondering, do u know what happened to Louie Watson? did we loan him out or something? cos i completely forgot about him
Contract got terminated
McGuinness > Bell tbh
You sound like you don't believe what you are saying. Anyway luton can't possibly get any worse as we are bottom of the league. So COYH
