Thank you so much for posting this I'm a little bit of a sad case I know but I love watching building works being done in particular football stadiums and even more so when it's my beloved Luton Town's... How I would love a webcam so I could just sit and watch the proceedings day by day yep I know I'm a sad case... Anyway thank you for posting the video please keep us updated especially those of us that live away like I do in York.
The first part of the video is where the flats are going to be built isn't it. The more overgrown part by the power station is the tress by the side of the open river culvert. I used to work for Kent Meters and this was by one of the exits to the building. This always got more overgrown during summer. Maybe the new part in the right hand corner is where the power station is going to be moved to. It won't be the river Lea. That runs next to the sub station and into the middle of the roundabout, then onto Manor Road.
Great video mate, love the updates. The work happening at Bute St car park, is part of the "Levelling up" scheme from the government, you can see the proposal if you The Stage, Luton. They plan to add the following facilities: retail and business space improved public spaces 405 new homes multi use community space including performance space a cycle hub
New substation being built. Two sets of foundations and cable runs. The flat section looks like a site compound. Need plenty of space when the big steels start coming. Looking forward to watching us play champions league there one day soon!
Which drone is used? ,just wondering.... be careful its close to the airport , is that why no one hasn't droned over the Luton towns brache training ground ?
You need authorisation from Luton Airport to fly anywhere within their radius. I haven’t spoken to them about Brache but that I suspect would be a no go due to it being directly under the take off zone.
Bullshit!!!! It’s happening????? I just drove past there about 2 hrs ago!!! COYH There was one shot of the stadium superimposed over the site, worth seeing it several times, or if possible angled as per the camera angle of the drone to see where the stadium will be in real time. Looking forward to the next video Deggs
As previous comments suggest, the corner area by Pondwicks Road is where the new substation is going to be. The works you can see are the foundations and some of the base of the substation. The actual structure is being built off site, I understand. The work ongoing by the station is part of a separate Luton Borough Council development called The Stage. Google that and you’ll find plenty of info, but essentially it is a new large multi use space, new square and apartments. The area around the river only looks more overgrown as it is now July and all the plants and weeds are at the maximum size. The area next to it is where the river will be diverted from its current culverted route, which goes straight through the Power Court site.
@@jamesashby6271 thanks for the detailed explanation! I will be sure to check out some more information before the next video with hope we see some more progress! I’ve seen the website for the station works! All coming on now!
@@deggyuksports Just a friendly heads up - the club were strict on no cameras when the Bobbers was being developed because it would only take one photo of a missing hard hat/H&S breach and someone would have reported it and the project would have been stopped, causing a delay and extra costs. I think what you're doing is fine but just beware.
@@thestrawplaiters140 Hey, Thanks! Yeah i was in dialog with the club over bobbers and stayed clear for that reason. Here i plan to give brief footage overlooking the site showcasing developments as i goes rather than focusing on actual working for long periods. I previously try go out of hours for these type of reasons but just so happened that this one i couldn't find any other time.
Hold on a minute I can see paddy with a shovel . The club are holding back telling the truth about any of this .I assumed that there were for the supporters and were transparent, that's a load of bollocks,it was obvious that after spending countless millions on the stadium upgrade when promoted then to then build another stadium straight away and not get your money's worth well let's be honest that was never on the cards no matter what the board said ,so the supporters are where they will be for at least I would guess ten years at least probably more if they do a good deal with their landlords

You are welcome! I look forward to doing many more :)
Not sad at all mate, thousands of us on Skyscraper City.
What is the closest railway station to this site?..
That looks like the new power station being built, we have them at my place of work. Looks like the foundation for it.
I’ve worked on similar projects and I think you’re right. Looks like the new sub station foundations.
Thankyou for this , can’t wait for the stadium to add value to the properties nearby :) the bison.

Hopefully I’m still alive to experience it 🙏
I recommend turning down the music in the next video mate, great to see progress though. Cheers :)
Noted! It took me a while to decide what to add, Didn't want you sitting in silence! will make sure its lower.
@@deggyuksports cracking video other than that, sorry to be a Karen haha. Cheers

I think the structure you mention, bottom right that is being built, is the new sub station.
Ahh that makes sense! Thanks, will keep an eye out as we go!
