In todays driving lesson the roles are reversed and the learner driver is teaching me how to drive an automatic car! If you didn't know this is the series where I'm teaching my FIRST TIME learner driver little brother how to drive a manual car on PUBLIC ROADS so that he can pass his driving test! However, as he is going for an automatic car license I thought I'd check his skills 👀

As a driving instructor based on your last few videos he wouldnt pass a test. You know that or you wouldn't of seapped him to an auto out of the blue, which didnt help, infact made things worse as i said in the comments of the last video. He dosnt even know you should never park on the kerb because he asked you to park on 1. Youve not even covered the maneuvers how they will make him do them on the test. For example how you have been practicing a parallel park is not a test parallel park. On the test you have to pull up next to a car and reverse in behind it, not just pull in forward and adjust, thats not a test quality parallel park.
Mate you even say yourself in the video that he does it now as an instructor so why dosnt he do it when driving. So if your saying that how is it any different when viewers say it.
I think the issue is you guys dont know all the ins and outs of what is required on the test or how you have to do it, so your missing stuff. I gave up counting how many times he would have failed in the last video and how many times you both missed things that would be a fail in this video. Its great seeing you teach your bro and ive enjoyed the content and i know others in the comments go too far with what they say but i have always been fair and he is capable of passing the test just not yet.
You are absolutely spot on! Juvenal is not interested in driving, which is why he doesn't know everything about driving. I don't know how Jeremy has a licence for 8 years and still doesn't know the rules of the driving tests.
@@shayanlatif1484since 2017 the driving test has changed not by much but only the manoeuvres. It does not matter how long you have been driving for. If everybody who has a licence as long as Jeremy sat their test they would all fail. All drivers unlearn the good habits they want to see on test and replace with bad habits. That is why they always recommend an Instructor. If you are a petrolhead or a natural driver you will not need an instructor but if you are a lost cause like Juvenal then you will need an Instructor sent from heavens. I know he is going to fail his driving test anyway as he cannot do the manoeuvres and he cannot drive independently and allow himself to learn by himself.
@Daniel Tesfaye Juvenal is not a lost cause. He just needs more lessons with Aman from the complete beginner, and then he will succeed, only if Juvenal wants to drive.
When you said that the manoeuvres have changed in the driving tests since 2017, can you please give me an example? Because I haven't been driving myself yet.
Absolutely spot on! I completely agree with you !, I don’t think its fair on juvenile to push him into a test with such erratic lessons swapping between an auto and manual, jeremy hasn’t bothered to research what is required for a practical test . I’m sure if he booked a mock test with Aman she would confirm he is not test ready.
@@shayanlatif1484 they havnt really changed over the years but they have taken some out. Thing like the 3 point turn and the reverse around a corner arnt in the test anymore.

Those of us that are saying he’s not ready are just being truthful, 10 lessons with a family member swapping between manual & automatic isn’t helpful , you haven’t taught him the correct manuvers to pass a practical test! Like how to properly parallel park , he needs to know how to plan ahead, look for road markings and signs , and pulling up on a kerb is an istant fail . If you really want to get him to pass then get him some proper lessons with a qualified instructor or at least book another mock test with Aman!

I’m sorry to be *that* person but he isn’t ready. I’m learning too and I can easily recognise you making those obvious mistakes.
He doesn’t check his mirrors when he’s meant to, you both keep saying “mirror, signal, manoeuvre” but he doesn’t do it. He doesn’t check his blind spots, he doesn’t drive safely and he panics.
I’m a huge fan of your videos because you’re very entertaining but I really think he needs a professional driving instructor to show him all of the things that the examiner is looking for. The score sheet that they use would be a good insight for you. I think my driving is on par with Juveniles and I can happily and understand that I’m not ready. I’m not a safe driver, I don’t do everything I’m meant to and I wouldn’t want someone constantly telling me I’m ready when I’m (clearly) not confident enough on the road.
When he passes and you make a montage of all the “haters” comments just know that most of us want him to succeed, it’s just reality needs to be seen.
Edit* An example of it would be at 11:54 “how big of a gap should I leave” … one of the first things we learn is stopping distances. Dry weather conditions would make that stopping distance to be the 2 second rule. “Only a fool breaks the 2 second rule” … when you asked he didn’t know, he stuttered and stumbled. If he was ready he would have known all that in a heartbeat.

Just a thing. I know its common for a lot of people... your seating position is all wrong. You should bring your seat forward so your neck is better supported and arms arent so out stretched. Your arms should have a bend in them when driving. A long drive youre going to be aching.

12:05 you should actually leave a 2 second gap in dry weather when moving, when stationary you should leave tyres on tarmac so you can see the back tyres of the vehicle in front of you and a bit of the road to give yourself a safety bubble just in case they accidentally roll backwards or breakdown. 🙃

"nyeah he's not ready" that is correct he is. not. ready. 10 lessons is such a pitiful amount especially when hes gone between manual and auto and seemingly never had a qualified instructor teach him other than your collab with Clearview driving. It takes on average 30-45 hours of lessons which I doubt he's had and from what I've seen he does not plan ahead he just reacts. I'd put money on him not passing his driving test especially considering he failed a multiple choice questionnaire (the theory test) 9 something times..

Well he finally passed his theory so he should know that.
he was scared to drive with one hand in another video. he really needs to get used to the car steering back to centre on its own and he just needs persuades it to turn.
Actually Juvenal does let the wheel glide when straightening if that is what you mean. The problem is when he turns, he is stiff.
Interestingly, when I was learning, my instructor told me not to let the wheel slide through my hands as technically I'd 'not be in control' 🤷
@@aprilsummers6447 letting the wheel glide is fine, the test i found useful is at any moment i should be able to grab the wheel and wrench it to one side with no warning (obviously dont thats dangerous, but if youre able to do that youre in control) i did it loads on my test and didnt get any faults for it
He is genuinely the one of the worst and most inconsistent driver I have EVER seen I've never seen someone on clearview driving or dgn driving remotely as inconsistent as he is. I really hope they are faking Juvenals driving ability for content at this point because if not I think Jeremy might be delusional. 10 lessons is a stupidly low lesson count e specially when hes not a qualified instructor.

When we are saying that Juvenal isn’t ready for his test in no way, am I meaning it rudely it’s just true. A few things he does: not check blindspots, when turning corners he cuts the corner on the right, mirrors aren’t checked frequently enough, not all of these are majors, but when done repetitively, they become majors. A few lessons with a driving instructor would be very beneficial. Wishing all the luck to Juvenal on his test. And stay safe on the road.🫶🏽
And I’m aware he now knows what he’s doing wrong, but if it isn’t implemented long enough in his driving lessons he will probably forget in the test when it’s high stress. Sending luck he passes and remembers what to check !!

If visibility is limited, then still signal.
