Sweet run, Mai! I was wondering, how do you decide when to use Slicing or Piercing Thunder? Working on making this gun, since I'm pretty much done with my other Elemental LBG sets (as soon as I finally get that dang Orb from Almudron), and the other Thunder LBGs seem... decent? I dunno, there don't seem to be a lot of good strictly Thunder guns like there are for the other elements lol And there's probably no decent way (without a god charm) to run Thunder Attack 5 on this gun without losing a bunch of damage on your Slicing, huh?
pierce when you have a clear shot down the length of the monster, slicing otherwise. like, at 2:46 mai cant get a good angle so slicing is used instead, if during a knockdown you can get a good angle, go for pierce
Well this looks pretty easy. That gun is awesome. And slicing is damn good in rise. Edit: But i still think that dragon elders should not get down so often. Kinda ruins the threat. There should be a exponential meter to fill to get the elders on the floor. Because its basically like a fight versus a training dummy when he lies on the floor all the time
The problem isn't with the elders really, the problem is that Rise made it so monsters topple and fall down even when you are only hitting the head, whereas in past games hitting the head only made monsters flinch for a second and only hitting legs (or some other specific parts depending on the monster) would make monsters topple, so in Rise as long as you have enough damage output to hit the flinch threshold easily, you can chain topples without having to go after worse hitzones just to get trips. It's kinda dumb really, because it makes most fights a joke.
