Whoever is playing this really needs to start closing the door behind them. I got spotted all the time not doing that in This War of Mine. They also panic a lot.
I'm super excited for this! My only complaint so far is the lack of ability to deal with zombies just above/below you. Bc while u cant attack them, if u make any noise theyll come out and attack u. I'd like to be able to stealth whoever i can, especially when theyre literally within arms-reach And to whoever played in this test here, your decisions in the Church were... interesting lets say
@@Toy_Soldier_X You right on target, and dealing with a single zombie that is aware of your presence seems challenging since there's not much hiding. The church section was a dumb move of them running through the whole church, alerting every undead corpse to your loud running was mindless.
Nah, I like it but few games actually implement it in a creative way, like, if my bat breaks, it should become a little shank. I also hate when they make items too disposable and easily found.
While I agree on some games, It is an added layer to the difficulty. Its fine, as long as its not to unrealistic degradation. Like some games degrade weapons within a few hits.
Depends on the gameplay and mechanic. It's fine for Dead Island series, where we can use almost anything as a weapon, also we can fix/mod them. For survival games where they're rare and irreplacable, it's annoying. At least some games like P. Zomboid not really focus on fighting.
if you like this kind of gameplay, try state of decay 2, they took a lot ideas from it, but you can drive around in an open-world map and build bases :)
It's weird that the player can't go up or down streets even though you can clearly see them. Side-scrolling Viewpoint is awesome, but you should have the ability to go up and down at intersections
If you like this try The Last Stand: Aftermath. It's an isometric roguelike where you try to move through a city infested with zombies. Survivors are meant to die but you get upgrades for your other survivors along the way
I like these kind of side scrollers, but they can actually pack a lot of animation in the background. Like this city doesn't look like it's gone through a zombie apocolypse. There should be fires, loads of airforce movement, maybe be distant hordes. gunshot sounds etc. This is like 5-10 years in the future type scenario. And if that's the case, there should be degradation on objects and vegetation on buildings, overgrown lawns etc.
@@AJ-dx6bn oh no. I followed them since their first event they attended where they launched this game. We have lived to see the days when access to the demo becomes exclusive. Is it really impossible to immediately give access now , and not wait for October 28th ?
Something that always irritates me about so many end-of-days type games....why are the lights all on even in abandoned buildings? I get that it looks more atmospheric but it makes no sense and really breaks immersion.
I confess i hyped down after realizing the similiarity with This War of Mine, I thought the game was more open world. But I wish success and good number of sales because the game is very well done. I think I am not playing it.
Damn, those melee weapons are weak AF. I don't know which one's worst, whether having to need one weapon in the slot so it always takes up the space or having to find a replacement for the broken weapon after two or three kills.
This War IS mine and deadlight have a baby
@@Kingbradley845 Like a dream come true...
Deadlight had so much potential, deserved more

This 30 minute demo has better twists and season finale than most the walking dead. 😂
This War of Zombies 😂

I'm definitely buying this game, I LOVE anything vintage from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. And this is coming from a gen Z male born in 1999 😄
Weapon degradation was the worst idea ever since the invention of videogames

i know right, as if a fire axe can't withstand hacking 20 zombies
even worse are guns that stop firing after a few shots.

Hot dang. That was some tough survival shenanigan.
Definitely putting this on my wishlist. But will wait for the reviews before getting it.

War of mine is the remake of Zafehouse Diaries. It is funny that this game repeating the WoM gameplay returns to it's true genre.

The game takes place only a few days (or within the first week) after the outbreak has started as stated by the devs themselves.
State of decay is still the best community zombie survival game for mw

Great visuals and use of the side scrolling perspective but the gameplay itself is lacking. Looks boring actually.

I think it's more nostalgic than tragic. People just like things that are different or rehashed and made better.
