    Looks like I’m going to have to do this. Been looking for the leak forever. It is coming from the other side. Thanks for posting! Never would have thought of the cooler.

    My F 150 has a slow leak like that also. Now I can give it a go. Thanks for sharing your fix, much appreciated! 👍👌

      No problem! I’m just happy to not have fluid everywhere.

      I just replaced my A/C condenser in my F150 because it had a leak. To my surprise the two top hoses on the drivers side had nothing to do with the A/C....it was power steering fluid. The freaking A/C condensor’s top two rungs are the radiator for the power steering fluid.

    Dodge A/C condensers are the same way except it's not the power steering cooler, it's the transmission cooler.

    Bulb replacement suggestion. Beamtech led on amazon. H13 led direct replacement works awesome. I put them on ours and it makes a huge difference and they are about same cost as a standard headlight bulb
    Thanks for this video gonna check to see if mime is leaking there just had to put in alot of fluid and pump was really loud with no visible leaks

    I just got a quote of 2500 to rectify this issue. Do you think this is a fair price. I’m not as mechanical inclined as you 😂

      lol uhhhh $60 vs $2500….. I would try and find someone that can help and either do the bypass like this or just replace the whole radiator.

    Did your AC ever have any issues when the power steering fluid leaked? Since the AC and power steering condenser are together? I just started having AC issues but have had dripping Power steering and it is from condeser.

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  Месяц назад

      Never had any issues with the ac. Hopefully you can just replace the combo and recharge the ac.

    did the OBD scanner show any errors? I found that U3000-04 can be power steering module problem

    I need to see how to replace the lines

  • @superdukedad
    @superdukedad 3 года назад +2

    Did you block the original "ports" where the lines entered the original faulty cooler/condenser? If so what did you use. How's the repair holding up? Thanks for the video!!!

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  3 года назад

      Yes I had to plug them because they continued to leak fluid, even after trying to flush them with brake cleaner. Repair is good, had a small leak from a hose that wasn’t fully tightened down

    Wait....are you telling me that the power steering system needs a cooler? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  3 года назад +1

      Technically from other vehicles I’ve dealt with, it shouldn’t. But I just went along with what was in place and replaced the oem one with the aftermarket trans cooler.

      I have watched alot of videos and looked long and hard at ours I am working on and yes it is silly but ford definitely had me scratching my head at why they would do such a thing 🤣

    hey my power steering radiator hose disconnects every so often do you think i need to change the radiator

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  2 года назад

      I would try and replace the hose first, technically you don’t need the cooler, it just helps with ps temps a little.

    • @jomarpainting.elmilusos376
      @jomarpainting.elmilusos376 2 года назад +1

      @@TheShopWorldWide It's the radiator for the power steering fluid. We've already changed the hose. It's new and it comes off every once in a while, but it's not covered up.

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  2 года назад

      I would either loop the hoses and stop using the radiator cooler, or I would replace the whole assembly with a new or used one.

    It would have been helpful to leave the video in Real rime instead of the porn music ;). You are the only one to show the break down on RUclips. Can you show the whole video in real time?

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  2 года назад +1

      This project took about an hour or more of dealing with hiccups through out the fix. I doubt you would watch an hour long video for just a few key points/ fixes. But I am looking into making better content that’s easier to follow and not just jet through the “meat and potatoes”…. I will be doing more of a break down on the expedition in the future so keep a look out. Is there anything in particular you’re looking for?

      @@btqy that’s why I video myself, so people don’t do what I normally do and fiddle around, possibly breaking stuff or installing stuff wrong.
