My longest road trip was 13 hours! Maryland to Florida lol. It was my mom, her parents, and I was probably around 13 years old. We slept in the car for the night since it was only my mom driving. It sucked lol, and I was afraid someone would break in! I remember not really being tired, so it was tough having to force myself to go to sleep lol
Ive made that trip and trips to Alabama when i was younger with my family. Those definitely suck but last summer drove down to fairhope, al with my gf and it was a lot of fun
I went Virginia to Florida so close to the same trip

Omg I took the same trip from Maryland to Atlanta last summer for family reunion, and we went to the Sheetz gas station too😄😄
Those Christmas lights were actually so magical. I used to live in Michigan and I could feel so much Christmas spirit but now in California, it’s just not like before, not as magical.
The reason there is a peach in South Carolina instead of Georgia is because even though we think of Georgia as the peaches capital of the US, South Carolina actually produces more peaches!

Just wanted to put it out there as to why GA is known as tbe peach state when SC has higher commercial output. Guess quantity isn't the sole factor. History and accolades combined rather than sheer amount of fruit being pumped out.

You were probably driving through Gaffney SC. As that’s where the giant peach (tourist attraction) is located at!! I would recommend next time u drive through, going through Johnston and see all the peach trees and beautiful old plantation houses🤍🌴🌙

We have in our family a tradition of saying Wohoo at the every boarder we cross into when we travel because when moved one time we called my mom who was in a separate vehicle and I said “Wohoo mommy Wohoo” as part of a statement saying we are finally at our destination.
I lived there, but me and my mom and my siblings move to Alabama and my dad stays in Pennsylvania so now we just gotta visit. Pennsylvania’s really fun. Most of my friends live there at least the ones that I can actually visit but it’s awesome.

my longest road trip was 18-22 hours 😭 i seriously can’t remember how long it was because it’s from northeast ohio to orlando florida on 4 charter buses filled with high school students. we stopped every 3 hours 😭

Here in the phillipines it takes 12 hrs to drive across al the big islands (luzon mindanao and visayas)
This is why I travel alone 😂😂😂I stop when my tank is empty so every 500 miles
same dude, i don’t have the patience to stop seven times. this would’ve been three at most for me
I do prefer to road-trip alone. Sometimes I like to chill and stop at overlooks or whatever but other times if I want to drive through I don’t drink a ton of water and just keep going until I get close to empty.
