I’ve also heard it’s very common to hear whispers or have your ears ring very loud at random times. If you have schizophrenia and you’re talking to someone you’re not sure is real, pull out the camera on your phone. Your hallucinations won’t show up on the camera, so you’ll know if they’re real or not. Hope this helps someone!

I don't think i have schizophrenia, but instead something similar and way more mild, i could relate to this so much it gave me a really weird feeling
I can never be in silence, i always have my fan or something else making sound or else i often hear things, and then my brain convinces me that if i don't cover myself completely with a blanket and stop breathing that something will attack me

i remember in middleschool i had this freind, i think his name was josh or something like that, he would always tell me that there was a guy in the corner who always stared at him, one time he got up from his seat and apparently "hit" the guy in the corner, i didnt really understand at the time what it was so i just thought it was some sort of mental illness. But even after, he would never even do his work. He would just stare at the corner the guy was supposed to be there, it creeped me out and he kept saying he had blood splattered on his hands which made me really question if he was okay but i tried to help him ignore it nonetheless.

I have a schizophrenic friend and he actually now lives a happy life (although he never slapped anyone) and apparently it’s thanks to me? He says it’s because I actually believed him when he first told me and it’s a long story. I’ll ask him to reexplain it but he definitely did feel like everyone was staring at him.
