      Some hate Kirk for too much wah. He’s uses wah more than Hendrix. Most wah using guitarist. Shit he made wah metal. He makes it sound evil and powerful and badass. 🤘🏼some say he and other guitarists use wah to cover up mess ups... with Kirk that ain’t true. It’s his style.

    I love how both bassists that succeeded Cliff played HIS masterpieces their own way, personally I see it as them paying homage to Cliff and showing him respect by not fully copying his style. They don’t stand where he stood, but they are close.

      Just look at James while he plays Orion. He plays with feeling and looks heavenward. James lost his right hand man and so did the other guys but I think it took a heavy toll on James with all the excessive drinking and violent screaming.

      Kirk is fucking skilled and talented. Look at him back in videos like these. He is sharp and focused. Nowadays, I honestly can't tell if it's age or he is just lazy, but his solos are obviously lacking. Some of them, anyway. Maybe he is like, "I was the king, I was on top of the world, I accomplished all I wanted to. I have no reason to try anymore."

      I am a drummer and honestly his drumset is fine (except the snare and the missing ride cymbal 😂) - one of Tama's best.
      It's the way they tune it, mix it etc pp
      In reality it's completely irrelevant what kit you play in a concert - you can have any sound you want.

      I agree that orion doesn't sound good with a pick. He also didn't play the bass solo. He got right up to it and then they changed songs. If you're going to play cliffs songs play the most badass parts. I do like Jason's playing in a lot of instances, but to me this falls short.

Orion is not that hard to play on bass, trust me. and im not profesional player.

      @@4md17 On the contrary,. Jason is not a very good player if he is attempting to use his fingers. He a bass strummer pretty much,.. not a very good “bass” player per se. Personally, I think he really struggled with Cliff’s parts / solos. That intro to Orion was just awful. Tone, timing, effects just really bad.

      rodriguez256 All stock RG-570 Kirk was approched by Ibanez and sent him that model but he was too loyal to ESP but Kirk at least gave it a good run on that leg of the "Roam" tour as he loved the wizard neck on them.

      But I still think they do an amazing job for their age.

    One of the best live solos Kirk ever did = FREAKING AMAZING ! I wish Lars and Kirk played with this passion today :/ ! '88-'98 Just love watching Lars drum in the period

      monamOneX I remember the Master of Puppets tour. Lars was beating the crap out of the drums like an insane mad man. And Kirk was amazing live. The whole band was phenomenal. My ears were ringing for 2 days.

      Mark iic plus 44 maybe in terms of albums (if you really dont like the black album) but in terms of shows they were still godlike until 93 ended.

    i was there as an 2.stuff member, build and rebuild this stage in 36hours...men..., it was tuff, but concert was right.., ifed met hetfield and hemmet by "pushing" stuff-cases from stage to vehicle and becomes an "Duett" with Salt n pepper song "ah push it, push it realy good" live from them, it was amazing!!! (i was 19 Years old...)

    Those Alembics are HEAVY man. I gotta punch my bass pretty hard (active p-ups too) to get a decently loud sound. He hit his head pretty damn hard on that. Pretty fucking metal.
