I have two SSR 200cc Enduros, both 2009 models. One has 9,000 miles. Have owned Pitster 230SC also, a half dozen Asian dirt bikes.
Anyone know anything about the EGL brand? They have a 450cc with the Zongshen NC450 engine. No info anywhere on the EGL....

So what’s your thoughts on the bike so far do you think it’s going to be reliable and have you had any carb problems and do you think you would buy it again

Unfortunately the bike is a friend's and I have to give it back next weekend. That being said I like the bike. With a few mods it's a very capable trail & woods weapon. I put a set of Tusk handguards and a set of Tusk Recon hybrid gummy tires on the stock rims (21 front & 19 rear) for single track duty. The new tires made a huge difference in traction on rocky rooty stuff. I bumped the jetting up to 42 pilot and 172 main and that cleaned up the lean bog on the bottom and vastly improved roll on throttle response from down low. I changed out the thick stock fork oil to Mercon/Dextron 3 ATF (5wt equivalent) and that gave the forks improved action and plushness. I also added an FMF/UFO Plast single exhaust side panel on the left to slim down unnecessary bulk since this is a CRF250R copy that Honda uses dual exhaust on. A Pro Circuit slip on exhaust with spark arrestor (if needed in some areas) available from SSR directly so it'd be interesting to see if there's any performance gains over stock can. There's also a write up in the latest Dirt Bike Magazine about this bike as well so they're getting some recognition. Overall, for under $5k this is a helluva bike and a steal!

As far as reliability people swear about the durability if these NC250/300 motors. Parts are available on eBay, Amazon, SSR, GPX Moto, etc... If you're used to doing your own bike repairs and maintenance you can rebuild the entire engine for way less than an Austrian or Japanese top end alone. Valve and cam chain adjustments are super easy. Plastics are 2017 era CRF250R.

How would you compare the power to something like a kdx we had 2 kdx’s and a ttr125 for my younger son he put grew the ttr so I sold it and just 2 days ago my old sons kdx220 got stolen out of the front yard so we’re on the hunt for to bikes I’m thinking about a ssr450 😉 but might just get 2 300’s

@@justinlloyd9342 The SR300 power is very linear much like a KDX without the 2 stroke hit. I know the KDX hit is nothing like an MX 2 stroke but the SSR is very luggable. It gets traction everywhere. The power curve is almost electric like and likes the mid range of the band. It doesn't rev up very quick but that's what I like. It won't get you into trouble - very forgiving. The power is more like an XR250R vs a modern, high strung, fuel injected 250f. For less than the price of one KTM 450sxf you get 2 bikes that normal people can ride.

@@nautiseaman9833 Where did you get info on how to service the forks and how much oil did you use in each leg? I'm a smaller guy and softening up the forks would be nice.

    Where did you find graphics?

RMATVMC semi custom graphics for 2017 CRF250R. You'll need to get the CRF radiator shrouds as well. The SSR shrouds are larger.
