We have a university established in an old quarry area, about 1 hour from Ipoh, called Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. The barren land has been replanted with trees and made into public park at the front and the university covers up the rest, just to the edge of a reserve forest area. PETRONAS owns the university, the same company that owns the Twin Towers
That’s a great way to make use of an old quarry! Well done Malaysia. I wish more countries did that, because quarry’s can seriously be used for some amazing things. Rather then just be left and look like a massive bomb crater hahaha

I have to say Ipoh has some certain spot that is crowded and certain area are quite dead with stray dogs roaming around and lots of homeless beggars so it is quite sad in some certain area. It's definitely very hot in Ipoh, we sweated alot too walking around the city area. Satay is the best in Malaysia..😊
