The Blazers can't give up any unprotected first round picks until 2030, and there's no way they give up a pick that far out unprotected. Otherwise that proposal makes some sense. Little is actually a solid young player with potential, and he would almost PERFECTLY fill the Suns' need for a Bridges replacement. Little is a two way wing with upside who at worst gives the Suns a better shooting upgrade version of Okogie. That's not to say Nurkic and Little are sufficient compensation, but rather a different arrangement would be needed. Miami does control a future unprotected Lakers second rounder and Portland controls some future second rounders of other teams. So maybe a top six protected Blazers 2030 FRP (turns into a Blazers 2nd rounder if protected), plus the Lakers 2026 2nd round pick (via Miami), and three second round picks from Portland (Atlanta's 2024 second, highest of either Charlotte or Minnesota 2024 second, and Golden State's 2028 second).

8:31 why would the blazers give up 2 first round picks to the suns? Trade does not look good for the blazers. Needs more 1st round picks given to them tbh.
If dame had the mind of a winner he’d as for a trade to Milwaukee. But the trailer blazers may as well hold him. It’s not like he can sit out games unless he wants to lose money. What do the blazers lose?
Your trade is impossible. The Blazers owe a FRP to the Bulls protected through 2028. This was a lottery protected pick in the Markkanen/Jones Jr./Nance Jr. three-way trade from 2021.
I’m not doing that if I’m Suns and would hold them hostage if they want to get the deal done, so that means prolly a 4th team because those 2 teams have nothing to offer of value to Suns

The Blazers can ship him anywhere but they do ough to him to find a package to get him where he wants to go. The last package is not horrible.
the assertion that portland paid dame for his loyalty is preposterous casey. the blazers didn’t pay dame for his loyalty. dame EARNED that supermax contract. the blazers are not relevant for the last decade without dame, they don’t don’t make the playoffs without dame, hell they probably don’t even fill the moda center without dame. i agree that the blazers should get the best return they can for dame, but they also do owe it to dame to get him to a preferred destination. admittedly this is also a two way street and dame needs to have more than 1 team on his list of preferred destinations tho in order for the blazers to maintain their leverage. but the blazers absolutely 100% owe it to dame to get him to where he wants to go.

Only problem is sun's wouldn't do that deal unless they are getting at least hero or Robertson also. You'd be asking them to give up starter ayton for a middle finger while Portland and Miami win in the deal
Here’s the truth about Lillard. He doesn’t deserve to win. He chose more money over winning, now he’ll retire a loser with so much money he can’t even spend it. He could have signed with a team set up to be competitive for years when his rookie contract expired, yet he greedily chased the bag and signed a contract lasting all of his prime with a franchise he and everyone else knew was garbage. Now he has to take the “loyalty” route because he knows he’ll never be known for winning, and the team will not trade him unless another team destroys their own team to get him, so no matter what he’ll continue to lose.

Blazers taking back Lowry's expiring contract would be better for our rebuild than Robinsons contract. Agree that we need to send Nurk and his contract anywhere we trade Dame though.
Would this work as a solution to stop player entitlement where they sign a super max and then request a trade right after to a specific team? If a player signs a contract where he gets paid more by his current team than what others can offer and he is traded to another team, the team trading for that player takes the full cap hit of the contract while the players salary gets reduced to what other teams could have offered. Ie dame signs a new 60m contract per year with the blazers and is traded during the length of that contract. The team he is traded to has to take the 60m cap hit but dame only gets paid 45m This disincentivizes players from getting rewarded for “loyalty” and then jumping ship right after while tanking their value like what dame is doing now.

What about what the Blazers owe him for being loyal and wasting the prime of his career waiting on them to build a decent team? U cam tell ur a blazer fan @a.m.hoops.. Especially when they promised him to accommodate him if he wants to go to another team
The Heat would have to be crazy to give up all that for Lillard. He has maybe 2 good years left. And then they will be saddled with that salary for a couple of more years. I think they learned from the mistake they made with Lowry.
As a Blazers fan, Dame needs to go, and we should have been in a full rebuild at least two seasons ago, if not three. But with a incompetent and apathetic front office and ownership, it ensured they'd do something REALLY stupid, and when they traded for Jerami, I knew that he would end up being the source of that suicidal move. A year later, and I was proven right. Then he has a career season, he's 28, and goddamnit it was guaranteed resigning him was suicidal for the team. Dame KNEW he was gonna demand the trade, and chose to make sure the team resigned JG to a oversize contract to get his man paid, while also screwing the team over long term. This was Dame's intention. He was already going to do what he could to throw a temper-tantrum while he intentionally fucked the team over, and intends to continue to do so no matter when and where he's traded to. And again, HE CHOSE TO SIGN THAT EXTENSION. No one made him do that. And that was after what? 8 years? 9 years with the team? He damn well knew full and well exactly how that would go. And there's no no trade clause in it either, so he has absolutely no excuse to act the way he is, say the shit he's saying, make the threats he's making, let alone act as if he's been backstabbed, and he deserves to go wherever he wants no matter what. Honestly, the fact that he's still got half to maybe 65% of the Blazers' fan base around him and backing him and his BS up, while just about every fan of the team turned on LaMarcus Aldridge may be the part the really irks me the most. All these delusional fans coming to "rescue" Dame from us honest, realistic fans calling it how it really is, all while they still have animosity toward LaMarsha who never did any of the BS Dame has done with leaving the franchise. LMA handled it impeccably, calmly, and quietly, and never held it against anybody, let alone the team either. He did it as all should. But Dame's doing the exact opposite. Its inexcusable.
Ppl outside of Chicago are so clueless about the Bulls situation… Pat Williams is not just “Some guy” that were trying to throw in any trade and get anything for 🙄
Between this and the mess Washington got in... NBA GMs have to be searching their rosters for players that are good enough to help a contender but bad enough that they put a hard cap on their ceiling.. and their floor.
Dame could've and would've gotten a max anywhere. He chose to stay loyal to Portland despite their inability to draft well enough or get another star player alongside him for years. If Portland butchers this trade request then this basically shows star players that loyalty gets you nowhere and to only have your best interest at hand.
Bro what. Dame earned that contract and they told him they would accommodate him to wherever he wanted to go. Same gave a list of teams, but Cronin wanted more, so he called every team. The teams told dames agent about it, got dame pissed off, and now he only wants Miami. Blazers are actually creating such a stupid fuvking mess
I've said Chicago isn't running it back they just resigned to trade so they aren't losing the guys they gave up so much to get and they have a scoring guard that plays no defense that I've said would be part of the Dame trade, Lavine is a guy that can move the needle
No you're wrong, loyalty has secretly an amount.. is there is none, no one is staying... if one org is telling to their player that they dont owe anything to them, then this is the start of massive non trade clause, tatum, luka and giannis is next..

Its inexcusable.
just shut up bruh
Multiple stars might be traded and then you show a picture of Ben Simmons.😂
nothing but facts in this video
Ppl outside of Chicago are so clueless about the Bulls situation…
Pat Williams is not just “Some guy” that were trying to throw in any trade and get anything for 🙄
Honesty the suns should just trade for Dame and run the Lillard, Beal, Booker, Durant, Bol starting lineup at this point
Still won’t win a chip they got no defense
@@BenjaminButton6573 don't need defense if they can score 150 a night
Keep it up bro. Only Thinking Basketball and jxmyhighroller are better at the moment
I like your videos
Dame will land with heat one way or another
The Timberwolves have a chance they could trade Kat and some role players for dame
Portland already rejected that offer for Kat earlier this summer
@@theetruth8626 ohh
When harden said he wants to be in a specific team, he didn't sign the super max unlike Damian
Now Harden has no leverage left without a supermax
Here after Dame got sent to the Bucks. Fuck. There goes the heat’s chances for the chip. Also congratulations the the 23-24 nba chaps the Bucks.
The freak should go to Brooklyn
Between this and the mess Washington got in... NBA GMs have to be searching their rosters for players that are good enough to help a contender but bad enough that they put a hard cap on their ceiling.. and their floor.
Lillard to CHICAGO!!!!
Dame could've and would've gotten a max anywhere. He chose to stay loyal to Portland despite their inability to draft well enough or get another star player alongside him for years. If Portland butchers this trade request then this basically shows star players that loyalty gets you nowhere and to only have your best interest at hand.
That is a horrific package
If the Bulls do that, I'm finished with the them. Been watching regularly since 1990. Sick of Reinsdorf owned teams.
I've said Chicago isn't running it back they just resigned to trade so they aren't losing the guys they gave up so much to get and they have a scoring guard that plays no defense that I've said would be part of the Dame trade, Lavine is a guy that can move the needle
You think players they dont need and very end of the first round first rounds picks is fair? Thats not great
A kid now a new puppy I see why Casey needs the sponsors lol
Damn blazers definitely wont get equal value back foe the trade
Two unprotected picks for Ayton? Come on man.
No you're wrong, loyalty has secretly an amount.. is there is none, no one is staying... if one org is telling to their player that they dont owe anything to them, then this is the start of massive non trade clause, tatum, luka and giannis is next..
Dame gave his all to Portland. Portland paid him the MAX. Even
Bruh he deserves it stop loyalty does matter
Sure the blazers not dealing him to Miami right away can be “disrespectful” but they need to get assets back man
Blazers doing Dame like they did Lebron. Gave him no help for the first 7 years of his career.
Oh damn the Suns guy was rihjt😢
