Careful when prying up the front camera harness off your old screen. The camera and the proximity sensor flex cables are only glued together and quite easy to separate.
careful when prying off the home button it has a false button that is hard to see and should not be attempted using your fingers, these guys don't warn you of those specific risks, you should use a heater to dislodge the home button attachment carefully, there is also a plastic pin on the right side of the home button part, you should find a way to move the homebutton attachment carefully upwards to avoid damaging the piece and making it easier to remove. in regards to the camera, and its immidiate attachments, there are two false buttons in the area on the top left side that connects the sensors to the camera through a very weird kind of glue that comes off with heat, it can not be reattached so remove the four pin seat of the speakers first, it is better to lose the speaker than the light intensity sensors, lastly you should probably just go get the phone fixed by a professional sense the attachments are very weak and were simply not made for removal and reattachments. i tried this replacing it myself and the screen works but i have lost many features that made my life easier and now i have to figure out my next move.
Repairs Universe - if you use a 3rd party screen does the Touch ID work or is it like the iPhone 7. When you change the screen the home button/Touch ID stop working.

they are held together by thoughts and prayers
