Hi Rob! Wow! What a nice job you did on "my" Cadi. I love the color and the wheels. Sidenote: The wheels are called "Diamond Spokes" and were standard on every Trans Am and GTA from 1987 to 1992! My red Trans Am does have exactly these wheels in black! Its a honor for me to see my old cars in your professional hands over there! I'm working on the next package :-). Best wishes and thanks again! Steve Miller (real name is "Stefan Müller" but for my US- and GB-contacts its easier to call me Steve Miller).
I actually own a Corvette C6 and I own a 2002 Ford Mustang I will actually interested on buying a Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am from the early 2000s there is a website that buys Chevy Camaros and converts them into modern trans am's they are really expensive I think the most expensive one goes for $200,000 but it has a 1000 horsepower and the other version is cheaper is $160,000 and that one only has 800 horsepower if I'm not wrong the website I think is called Trans Am Florida
Absolutely gorgeous work Rob. such memories, my grandad actually owned this brougham which he gave to my dad it was a green drabby color the engine died after we evacuated from Khobar to Riyadh during the gulf war had to replace the engine twice after that. in 92 he got rid of it and got a crown vic Still, the Americans had right philosophy back then... two living room sofas strapped to a v8 engine... good old days!
Hi Rob, Technically is would be pronounced BRO-um, but brome is quite common as well. A brougham is a type of light carriage named after Lord Brougham who commissioned it from London carriage builder Robinson and Cook. It date backs to 1838. You can read more about it on Wikipedia. I have a old Tomica example that looks quite a bit like this, with the opening doors and such. I wonder if Yatming may have bought old tooling from Tomica. It came out pretty good for wha5 you started with, l like the tail-dragged effect. 👍😉
Another terrific resto mod! Would love to see the Ford Torino brought back. Aside from the light, it's missing a broad white stripe on the side. It was referred to as the striped tomato!
Hi Rob, what a awesome video, the Cadillac is looking nice in that red with the gold wheels, the cavalier/ Vectra is a change to see on your video I do remember these back in the 90s,and a selection of cars to restore.
That funky yellow Volks Wagon was made by MC Toys which was a Chinese company who made toys between 90s-2000. the level of details is insane in MC Toys.
The way I've heard Brougham pronounced is that it rhymes with home Mary Kay Cosmetics gave some of its employees pink Cadillacs in the past. I've seen a custom Cadillac done as Battlestar Cadillactica, and a 4WD Cadillac with Pratt Whitney aircraft engine in it ( 16 or 24 cylinder). Your restoration kind of have it a low rider look..again, restored to better than new.
Looks like a low rider (especially with those wheels Rob 😉)with the hydraulic setting raising the body up at the front . Despite the cheaper model you did a great job on it Rob 👍
Rob the Cadillac turned out great. Sounds like we watch most of the same channels on RUclips. Hoovie is so funny and I love the Car Wizards work. I love how he is looking up things on the internet to give Tyler heart failure lol. 🤣🍻
Great Job as usual Rob, love these new style video with the restoration/custom and then the unboxing video where you find the casting. I think the Majorette Chevy would be a great custom when you have time.
Yeah people don't really watch the unboxing videos so I thought put it on the end and the die-hard will watch it it and the others can stop at the end of the restoration..
Great job bud. I find they are pretty good really detail wise, more detail than a lot of the 80s Hot Wheels. They are quite thin castings tho, that's the main thing that makes them feel cheap.
Great video 😁, the pronunciation of Brougham is one syllable like Broam, I had a'65 Fleetwood Brougham and was a great car and for the size was fast, would pass everything but a gas station LoL 😁, thanks for sharing and as always "Howdy from Texas mate"!!
People are slagging off the quality of the casting, but it's true to life. Cadillacs were just about that well-built in the '80s. :) My elementary school band teacher had one, in black, with a bumper sticker that said *MAFIA STAFF CAR.* (Also, it's no wonder the suspension is broken on that red Escort, it belongs to a driving school. :)
Great video Rob,Love the Cadillac, nice job, here in the land downunder We have or had Holden Brouham's back in the day, pronounced 'Brow-mmm' here,I see too the Autosol mag cleaner is still exactly the same as it was back in the early to mid 80's when I owned my first couple of cars back then, same design in the metal tube with white toothpaste style lid,no need to change a good thing I guess/,brilliant polish, cheers
(pronounced broam - like foam - in the USA and broom - that you sweep with - in the United Kingdom) - named after Lord Brougham, designer of the eponymous carraige. The first 'horseless' Broughams had an open driver's seat. Later became a Cadillac special trim package. We've had a metallic blue version since we was a li'l whelk. Recently picked up two of the Tomica castings the Yatmings seem to have been derived from... Unboxing... Cadillac Allanté - Kelly Bundy modeled for one of those @16:16 - we have one-a those Ja-Ru Dodge Coronet/Monaco castings. Got a second one and repainted it. Have a few of those. Yatming put them out in the '70s and the castings been used to this day... Lichen the Vectra/Cavalier... Tasty Firebirds - we has the KITT version. Mum -loved- that KITT car... Have the Corgi Escort in metallic green. We remember finding a Kojak version of that Corgi Buick Regal in a classroom back in the '70s... @24:00 we've a couple of those in copper-orange and metallic blue Have a few Eldorado castings - two Playarts and an Auto World. That Hot Wheels 'Limozeen' - expecting the group Exposé to emerge from it on their way to a gig at some hot '80s Miami dance club where Crockett & Tubbs are meeting with an informant...
As per usual with English, it's written one way - and said differently. In this case, 'Brougham' is pronounced as 'Broom'. It was originally a type of light horse-drawn carriage. Great result on a car that my late father would have referred to as a 'Jukebox'. Nice one. The 'CH' on Mr Miller's address is the international code for Switzerland, by the way. It stands for 'Confederatio Helvetica'.
Wow I can't believe in Switzerland there's a guy that has to Pontiac Firebirds it must be really interesting for the people that live there cuz here in the United States you could easily find those cars especially in the drag strips

@@MatchboxGarage just let me know about the comission when you have time, no hurry!

Thanks again Rob. Always always appreciate your time and effort.
Great job with the Cadillac Feetwood Brougham Awsome paint and nice job with the wheels and tires looks like a Business Man car from Walstreet.
Again, another great job. Wheels fit the car very well. Nice little car.
Matching colour and wheels, everything fits perfectly. The real car would suit me when I will be retired.
Isaac Hayes' car from "Escape From New York"
Just needs the chandeliers... 😁
Chris Palmer..I was thinking the same thing too.
Maybe some pre drilled bullet holes in the trunk
"Don't cross the Duke. Everybody knows that"
Great job. Had a 1982 fleetwood years ago. Very comfortable car.
Anywhere from where it started is a huge improvement!
Those old school Cadillac's were gorgeous. I love the square body on American cars like that. And the pronunciation is (Bro-em)
Beautiful!!!! Those wheels make a big difference!! 👍👍👍
Your first pronunciation Re' gal.
"Mum" lol the joys of being a family-man & a RUclipsr
Yeah the family trying to work around me😋
Fantastic Job on the restoration job
WOW!! A pretty big box of projects!
Most of these are in very good shape!
Thanx for another great restoration. 👍🏻👍🏻
Kind of a good you got some you can restore, put on your shelf and you can give to your little ones to enjoy!
Looks good. I think in black it would have looked more like a Caddy especially with those tires. Classic 70s look.
Great vid as ever. That 57 Chevy would look great in red. With blacked out chrome and black wheels.
You did a good job making that Caddy look presentable.
Great restoration Rob. Well done.
I always love when "lesser" brands get restorations. Would love to see one of the no name ones customized tbh.
Nice restoration and paint job!

Terri, I have the Tomica one as well. I was wondering if this was a knock off of that one.
Very nice job buddy looks amazing thanks for sharing bud keep up the great work 😎🏁👍🏻👍🏻

Love those wheels on it, and I'm impressed with the quality of that Yatming, good stuff!
Absolutely great work, I always love seeing you improve sub Matchbox quality cars
Very nice Caddy, looks a lot like some lowrider with those gold-wheels 😀
Don't forget the big white stripes 😎 around the Starkey and hutch Red car

Love your work Rob, another outstanding transformation. This casing is rad and I really like the colour.
Nicely done, sir.
Love Tyler Hoovie & JR from Watch JR Go!
Yeah I watch JR too
Best wishes from Russia, Kaliningrad!! Automatic like! :) work is awesome as always!
it looks ready to go on a road trip
Superb restoration
I want a merlot Brougham as a sign of good faith.
Looks great, build quality notwithstanding. Love the colour :)
Nice aftermarket wheels... Nice job on the details.. An EXCELLENT job especially considering what you had to work with on this one!
That looks great mate, very nice colour choice 👍🏻

Much better than the original white and gaudy graphics.

Great job.
Lovely job, love the gold wheels😊👌
"Every soul deserves a shot at a Cadillac. But not everyone should be guaranteed a Cadillac." Ben Stein. Epic resto.🙂👍
Great job bud. I find they are pretty good really detail wise, more detail than a lot of the 80s Hot Wheels. They are quite thin castings tho, that's the main thing that makes them feel cheap.
Differant but definitely cool. Love the choice of wheels.

Cool. Love the old tuna boat Caddys, AND I *just* finished a Yatming build :)
Definitely make a custom patrol car!
People are slagging off the quality of the casting, but it's true to life. Cadillacs were just about that well-built in the '80s. :) My elementary school band teacher had one, in black, with a bumper sticker that said *MAFIA STAFF CAR.*

I have never seen one of these. Great restore.
I have a hot wheels 'crack ups' police car, in a lightish blue colour - absolutely love it :)
Excellent job done matey, love it. 👍👍

You got it right the first time, "brome".
Would love to see the limo getting customized😁
The real ones tended to lay in the back when they got older, as the springs wore out.
What were people doing in the back to wear the springs out? :D
What a difference!
Cadillac Deville my all time favourite.
Looks sharp
Do that Ford Escort next
Wow I can't believe in Switzerland there's a guy that has to Pontiac Firebirds it must be really interesting for the people that live there cuz here in the United States you could easily find those cars especially in the drag strips
