i have the same tractor john deere 112 electric lift its also a 1972 but the dipstick is straight up on the kohler k301as theres also no helper springs in a 72 there was on a 73 but it also had a kohler k301as with aluminum oil pan 72 has cast iron oil pan
@@hallabat5542 no, it's original engine, this thing is all weird, Also the helper Spring was not only 1973 it was just a very rare option you could get on any electric lift
I’m working on a 1974 112 “electric lift” that I also saved from the junkyard. Mine most definitely has a HELPER SPRING 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. Top dip stick
Man that’s the nicest 112 I’ve ever seen. Wish my 216 was that clean.
Where do you get your new carbs for kohler engines?
On Ebay?
I've seen some for $18-20 that come with fuel cutoff and filter.
I just rebuilt my carburetors as much as I can if I absolutely need a new carb ill get it off eBay but I try to just rebuild the old ones
I also have a 72 112 electric lift with helper spring! It has the k301 with the same dipstick as yours! Identical tractor
Mine also only has the rubber clutch pedal. No brake pedal on the right side
