Congratulations on your achievement Neil! It's a beautiful tractor and has your own creative spin to match your personality. Thank you for bringing us along on your dream!
Neil, that tractor is amazing!! You did a great great job!!! Just for a thought, get a “Bruno” decal put on the back like you made your John Deere decals. Thanks for the videos
Congratulations and a big THANK YOU for taking us viewers along for the ride. Well, I just scrolled down the comments and they all seem to have been enjoying this series just as much as I did.
I love how you had the DDD printed on the bottom corner of the hood decals , it’s the small details like that along with all the others that you have put into it that I love , well worth the effort !
I’ve watched from the beginning, and when you chose yellow I was skeptical. However, between the final result and the reason for the name, I’m sold. Great job!
Awesome job Neil. It looks amazing. I'm sure there will be a lot of yellow tractors now after seeing yours. Now we need to see some videos of you putting him to work. Keep up the great work on your channel.
I love it!!! I love the story. I love the hard work. I love the customization. I love his uniqueness. And, I love the color. But most of all... I love the genuine smile on your face! Great job Neil!!! And thank you so much for making such great videos that allow us to share your experiences. I really appreciate you. Can't wait to see what's next 😁👍
11:00 old painters trick i learned from professional autobody...petroleum jelly, nice light paint brushed on coat...paint sticks to the jelly, jelly wipes or pressure washes right off.
Wow, I have been waiting to see the results for I feel like months and today. Suspense has been killing me all day, but totally worth it Neil it looks awesome congratulations. Can’t wait to see it some more.
Neil, congrats on completing your dream 318, you kept at it everyday and look at the results. Looks fantastic including the color. Speaking of the color ...... everyone has their opinion but in the end the most important thing is YOU'RE HAPPY !!! Best of luck with Bruno (love why you chose the name) and don't scratch the paint 😄
Bruno turned out awesome for sure! My wife saw your grins with it and mentioned how I have the same smile on my pet projects so we must be doing something right! Really enjoyed the series on this and the end with your daughters made me laugh because it would happen to me that way with my kids.
I followed this series from the start, as I am a garden tractor nut myself. Let me tell you... Your dedication and commitment to this project is an inspiration to us all. Bruno is a beautiful one of a kind tractor, and you should be proud of your accomplishments! None of us are experts, but you fought through the rough spots and your efforts paid off. I just want to say I'm proud of you, and happy that Bruno is now officially complete! God Bless you and your family, and thank you for sharing this journey with us all. ❤
COOL Beans Neil... Love hearing Family Memories... It still has a hint of Green on it, Or at least one of the options. Did You spot it ? AHAHAHAH I was fortunate to find a Complete Factory Decal kit for My 1970 Bolens 1256-02 which includes all the Warning and Control Decals. The red Stripe on the Hood and the Back of the Fender will have to be painted on as it was a Red tape . Thanks Mike M.
Im a new subscriber so catching up... really appreciate you sharing an obvious strong work ethic with the importance of family and tradition. Reminds me of what makes this country so amazing. I'll be watching all your videos. Thank you!
Neal I commend you on your determination. I wish I could stick to things. I have so many projects and none finished. So my friend I congratulate you. Very good looking. keep the kids healthy and wise. Love to all your family. from a old retired auto mechanic, and once farmer.
I can't imagine there is a nicer 318 on the planet. Congratulations on a job well done and something you'll enjoy for years to come! Thanks for taking us all on the journey.
We have all enjoyed watching this ultimate garden tractor build. Looking forward to seeing videos with “Bruno” working on future projects Neil! Thank you for sharing the progress!
The smile on your face says it all! It was a tremendous, incredible build! Loved all of the series from start to finish. Like so many others, I also wait to see Bruno on the job in his BEAUTIFUL John Deere YELLOW! CONGRATULATIONS on a project well completed! The time with Ruth was incredible. Good on you!
Congratulations, beautiful tractor, you ran the race to the finish line! I always looked forward to your videos on Sunday, touch of green on the bottom of the weights classic lol. Well what's next Neil, a front end loader build for it? Hint: Hint. And again Great job!
I love how Bruno came out! I love the back story and I love how everything is functionally appealing as well! You knocked it out of the park and I've said it before but your channel is a huge inspiration to me and I can't wait to see this tractor get put to work!!
My neighbor (Korea war vet) in smalltown Iowa growing up had what i remember to be a 318, He had the snowblower, rear tiller and mower deck, and he would till our garden and blow snow for neighbors around town. Ever since then I have wanted a 318, and watching this series defiantly gave me motivation to find one and restore it.
Hi Neil. Bruno looks awesome! Loved the story of where the name came from. It is a treasure to have a neighbor like Ruth who remembers what life was like years ago and is willing to share that. I'm glad the project turned out how you wanted. I love the color. It really set yours apart from other 318's. Plus, it is a John Deere color. Thanks for the video and the series! -mike
Nice!! What a great story and what a great project to have completed. I think it takes a long to do a project like yours as it does to do a larger machine. It turned out pretty amazing. Great job
I love the paint scheme on it, kinda makes me wanna build one that way. The big tires really set it apart and make it look like and industrial version vs a homeowner/ ag grade tractor.
Neil, it looks great! The commitment to work on it is what made it a reality. Great inspiration for others. Shows what can be done once you put your mind to it.
🎼🎶Mama said there'd be days like this. There'd be days like this, my mama said.🎶 🎼🎶"Mama said, mama said" The only thing I would have done different would have been with the JD stickers on the sides... Instead of white and black I would have gone black lettering and a clear sticker. Love the touch of "DDDiY" on the sticker, though. I love the name you chose! Bruno just fits! Can't wait until the documentary! See you in the next one! 🥰🥰🤗🤗😘😘
I personally love the way the tractor turned out. I also agree with your choice of color. I’ve seen lots of green ones but never a yellow 318. But at the end of the day it’s YOUR tractor and as long as you are happy with the outcome then who cares what anyone else thinks.
Looks great! Look at any new vehicle, and you will feel better about your job. They all have a orange peelish look under the clear coat. I usually orange peel the primer, and it mirrors through the paint. The whole series has been fantastic! Thanks for all the effort you put into taking us along!
Great build. That's something to be proud of. Loved your perseverance in doing something everyday. With your inspiration, I used the same tactic in building a doll house for my granddaughter. This also took over 4 months, and 420 hours to complete. Can't wait for the Bruno recap video.
I feel your joy. Awesome project. Congratulations. I am getting close to finishing a similar project (MF1855) after about 12 years of on and off work. It has been helpfull to watch this series.
Families like the Schaefer are a national treasure. They have fed the country, and their children have defended it through countless wars.
Congrats on getting Bruno back up and running. That is one fine looking tractor. The color is perfect as far as I'm concerned.
Congratulations on your achievement Neil! It's a beautiful tractor and has your own creative spin to match your personality. Thank you for bringing us along on your dream!
Thanks so much for tuning in Chris!
Neil, that tractor is amazing!! You did a great great job!!! Just for a thought, get a “Bruno” decal put on the back like you made your John Deere decals. Thanks for the videos
The look on your face is priceless. Great job. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing your hard work completed.
Those front tires are awesome. Looks great.
Appreciate it Mike. Those tires give it a look that is just hard to not like.
@@digdrivediy what size are your tires front and back
Incredible series, Neil! I enjoyed every minute of it.
Hey thanks so much Tim! Appreciate you watching.

So glad to have you watching!
Congratulations and a big THANK YOU for taking us viewers along for the ride. Well, I just scrolled down the comments and they all seem to have been enjoying this series just as much as I did.

Thanks so much Jon. You're the first one to comment on that but I really like how that turned out as well.
A job well done Neil. Neat story behind where "Bruno" came from.
Thanks Robert.
Man that looks sharp!
Of all my yellow garden tractors, this one is my favorite. 😁
Thanks Wes.
I’ve watched from the beginning, and when you chose yellow I was skeptical. However, between the final result and the reason for the name, I’m sold. Great job!
Thanks Bob! That means a lot!
Awesome job Neil. It looks amazing. I'm sure there will be a lot of yellow tractors now after seeing yours. Now we need to see some videos of you putting him to work. Keep up the great work on your channel.
Thanks Mike. I hope to get him dirty this week!
The best lube for mounting tires on the cheap is dish soap mixed approximately 1part water to 3parts soap. Especially when working with fresh paint
All this is a great comment Sam. You're too kind. Thanks for all your support and for following along with the channel. It means a lot.
11:00 old painters trick i learned from professional autobody...petroleum jelly, nice light paint brushed on coat...paint sticks to the jelly, jelly wipes or pressure washes right off.
Nice!
When they asked "why would you paint it yellow" that was funny. Glad you got this project wrapped up looking forward to what you have in store next
Bruno turned out amazing. And I dig the yellow.
This video was somewhat bitter sweet, I was enjoying the journey and now it's over.
I know what you mean.
Wow, I have been waiting to see the results for I feel like months and today. Suspense has been killing me all day, but totally worth it Neil it looks awesome congratulations. Can’t wait to see it some more.
Thanks so much! For your patience and for following along all this time Mike! I appreciate it.
Awesome tractor you've bult. It's full of enjoyment to watch how the self-made tractor is built and I like the back story.
Great job Neil WOW LOVE THE COLOR !!
The 318 turned out perfect Neil and I hope you have a great time using your 318 now
Thanks 👍🏻
That’s awesome!!! Thank you for sharing your project! I love the direction you went.
Thanks
I LOVE THIS MAN! Looks so good. Love that you made it work! Thank you so much for letting us be a small part. Happy for you !! God Bless..
Congrats, Neil. Great work. Bruno looks amazing. I enjoyed the story.
Appreciate it Chad. Thanks for watching my friend!
You did leave some green, bottom of the front weights! Love the color. Construction Deere Yellow. Great job.
You did it the way you wanted to do it and took it from concept to reality. That’s a tremendous accomplishment. Well done!
Thank you
I knew that tractor would look good in Industrial Yellow. Looks even better completed!
Being complete is the best look by far! 😂
Awesome work! Bruno looks fantastic in the Deere construction yellow, and I appreciated hearing the backstory from Ruth.
Informative and fun. I like your conversational style. Also like the daring move to paint the 318 yellow. Congratulations, Neil. Well done.
Neil, congrats on completing your dream 318, you kept at it everyday and look at the results. Looks fantastic including the color. Thanks for doing your 318 video, it had a 316 for many years and was very fond of it. I really enjoyed following along.
I am in Ontario Canada.
That's awesome. Great hearing from you Jenny and thanks for watching.

Congratulations! You should be proud of that. I remember when that was the tractor to have!
Bruno turned out awesome for sure! My wife saw your grins with it and mentioned how I have the same smile on my pet projects so we must be doing something right! Really enjoyed the series on this and the end with your daughters made me laugh because it would happen to me that way with my kids.
Good point Neil. So many JD’s out there. Be the one that stands out from the crowd.
Exactly!
