    The best lube for mounting tires on the cheap is dish soap mixed approximately 1part water to 3parts soap. Especially when working with fresh paint

    11:00 old painters trick i learned from professional autobody...petroleum jelly, nice light paint brushed on coat...paint sticks to the jelly, jelly wipes or pressure washes right off.

    Love hearing Family Memories... It still has a hint of Green on it, Or at least one of the options. Did You spot it ? AHAHAHAH
    I was fortunate to find a Complete Factory Decal kit for My 1970 Bolens 1256-02 which includes all the Warning and Control Decals.
    The red Stripe on the Hood and the Back of the Fender will have to be painted on as it was a Red tape .

    My neighbor (Korea war vet) in smalltown Iowa growing up had what i remember to be a 318, He had the snowblower, rear tiller and mower deck, and he would till our garden and blow snow for neighbors around town. Ever since then I have wanted a 318, and watching this series defiantly gave me motivation to find one and restore it.

    The only thing I would have done different would have been with the JD stickers on the sides... Instead of white and black I would have gone black lettering and a clear sticker. Love the touch of "DDDiY" on the sticker, though.

    I personally love the way the tractor turned out. I also agree with your choice of color. I’ve seen lots of green ones but never a yellow 318. But at the end of the day it’s YOUR tractor and as long as you are happy with the outcome then who cares what anyone else thinks.

    Looks great! Look at any new vehicle, and you will feel better about your job. They all have a orange peelish look under the clear coat. I usually orange peel the primer, and it mirrors through the paint. The whole series has been fantastic! Thanks for all the effort you put into taking us along!

    Great build. That's something to be proud of. Loved your perseverance in doing something everyday. With your inspiration, I used the same tactic in building a doll house for my granddaughter. This also took over 4 months, and 420 hours to complete. Can't wait for the Bruno recap video.
