      That’s a cool thought because to us this game just happened like today in our life but as it may become and immortal game ppl will look back at this game far in the future when we’re either dead or old as well as Magnus and they will analyze and still be like wow what an incredible game like wow Magnus was so amazing I wish I he was apart of my generation you know like Bobby fisher but he wasn’t but we get to actually SEE MAGNUS in action it’s incredible

    Today my rating crossed 2000 at rapid! I'm so glad to see my rating starting with a 2. My journey started more than 10 years ago. I learned playing chess before learning to write properly It can be pathetic to getting only 2000 in 10 years, but that was my goal for a long-LONG time. Want to thank you, Levi, for motivating me continue pushing forward. Since 2020(year i started watching you) i got extra 400 points.     What I like about these videos and your content is that if I had just watched that on my own, as a lowly 600 just starting to play and enjoy chess, I would have had no idea how good it was.       well actually it shows the beauty of the language literatures which have evolved from sanskrit and tamil (two separate ancient indian languages). as an indian myself i think ancient indian languages were so damn cool that I'd like to name my future offspring on them ancient personalities. naming a few 'trasadasyu', 'samudragupta', 'dhritarāshtra'. these names have complex meanings.

      @ChessDejavu Maybe for people with the access to "the right training", or for those of us who play since we were kids. For most people it's a lot of effort to get to be top 10-15% in a platform where most players have formal chess education.

      @ChessDejavu But you studied the openings, reviewed games by masters, had access to the lots of good bots that exist nowadays. It really is a lot of effort for a lot of people.
      And, going back to the original comment, a lot of people don't even care that much to climb. Personally, having played since being 4-5 (a LOT of it over the board), I found that chess is the most fun when people don't know opening theory. Sometimes being smarter includes realising you wouldn't have fun grinding to 2000 and you'd rather stay below 1500 at 30 years old.

    Magnus's biggest obstacle to 2900 is going to be motivation. I wonder if playing against younger players (rated or unrated) will help invigorate him because he gets games like this that are just incredible to watch and play, I assume

      @@user-dh8oi2mk4f it’s just a lot harder since he is highest rated. So he only plays against players which are lower rated than him. Every loss and draw basically takes away much more from his rating and he hardly gains any by winning. So it’s just near impossible
