- Sony A7R Mark II : ISO and Low Light Test #1
Lens: Tokina 11-16mm DX II F/2.8
Adapter: Commlite EF-NEX
4K Super35 mode (downscaled to 1080p)
Picture Profile PP7
S-Log2 S-Gamut
ISO 800-25600 (not 800-32000, apology for the wrong typo ^^)
As you can see from ISO 800-3200 there's a visible banding artifacts at the back of laptop. Maybe it's just caused of youtube conversion but honestly not visible in the original footage file.
Doses it overheat now I have the a7sii my passion is photography but wanting to do video as well. Don't know what to do lol
+Ken Harris I never experienced overheating since I bought this camera. Maybe it was fixed with firmware updates.
uau im actually surprised it's usable at 6400
+Joao Fezas Vital depending on your glass, you still get a good result even 12800 ISO.
Is there noticeable difference in high ISO performance between recording in 1080P and 4K?
or is it the same?
ofcourse 4K is better than 1080. Noticeable quality difference is between super 35mm and Full Frame. 35mm is better than Fullframe mode in low light.
does this work as well in low light in 1080p mode?
Yes ofcoursee
1080p mode in low light is good enough, but if you enable super 35mm mode in 1080p, better than fullframe mode. But in daylight (outdoor) can't see the difference.
thanks man
+Manuel Joson does super 35 work in picture mode? Just making sure because i'm thinking about buying it.
Yes you can use the super 35 both video and photos
