We are patronizing Julius Ceasars, Alexander as great kings, same time we need to recognize our own history. OTT platform should come forward and make series on these unsung emperors.

Battle of Maski, Chola's army strength was recorded as 900k. 2. Battle of Red Cliffs: Cao Cao's army strength was recorded as 800k. These were invasion forces, which means ~50% force had to be left to guard their home base and other borders. These numbers were confirmed by multiple sources. I don't think it is wise to challenge that. There is a reason why Indian and Chinese regions could afford such a huge population. Do not view Eastern history with western mindset.

    1. The word “Navy” is a gift to the present day world from Tamil. It is derived from the Tamil word “Naavaai”.
    2. Sozhlas (Cholas) had a dedicated naval fleet.
    3. Rajarajan did not invade Sinhalese. He recovered northern Tamil territories from Sinhalese invasion, which was later completely recovered by Rajendran.
    4. Rajendra Sozhlan did not directly attack Sri Vijayan kingdom who held Sozhlan merchant vessels, he split his fleet into two, where one sailed straight and the other sailed the unknown and circled back the island without modern navigational compass as in use today.
India is proud to have Tamils, just like Telugus, Kannadigas, Malayalis, Marathis, Punjabis, Bengalis, Oriya, Assamese, and all other cultures.

not north indian centric - only muslim centric. chola empire (and even vijayanagara empire) were ignored because they prayed hindu gods and built massive hindu temples and art flourished here. Nehruvian history books written by the likes of Romila Thapar and Ram Guha only celebrate muslim rulers and muslim architecture - everyone knows about Qutab minar, Charminar, Akbar, Babar, Hyder ali and tipu sultan but not many know about hindu, jain, buddist, sikh kings unfortunately!

They captured it to fill their ego up, Kalinga already had a navy and we were friends with SE Asians
We still celebrate our trade with the SE Asians
Cholas invaded SE Asia and also attacked Kalinga, and thus the friendship broke from the SE Asian side, and now they are all Converted
Cholas ain't great, it was us Kalinga guys first who did all the stuff of Navy
This video is just an Appeasement to Tamils
Why? Is it a crime to show Kalinga as great too?
Just because Odias are nationalist and don't take credit and just do their work and stay silent, do we deserve this discrimination against Tamils for credit of the Navy?
Tamil Nadu, as we all know, is the shouting epicentre of SEPARATISM
That's why the Indian government is appeasing them and now even the media
So wow, is shouting like hooligans and saying anti India dialogues assure you getting rewarded?
I mean if that's the case, then should Odias also start demanding such things? Nope, as an Odia and on top of that an Indian, I won't allow that
Tamil Nadu has a history to keep Tamil Nadu as 1st, India as 2nd
Odias don't do that... Sorry these words are harsh but Kalinga found the navy first, check all our monuments and see for yourself... Plus the trade relation festivals like "Bali Jatra" also speak volumes
Cholas killed the relations India has with SE Asia just to satisfy their ego and greed
Kalinga was instead a friend to SE Asia and connected them with Indian culture
Our naval history predates the Cholas by a margin of 500-1000 years that is... Yet Cholas getting the credit, Marathas getting the credit? Why?
Is Kalinga seen as a dead empire? Ngl, the negligence of coverage of issues of Odisha still till modern date also speaks volumes...
Are we not Indians? We not showing our greatness and give us credit where it's due?
Are we gonna celebrate Cholas too who betrayed Indian interests, just like that Ashoka?
Until when do we wanna see lies?
This is getting out of hand
Well whatever, atleast god himself (Jagannath) is with Odias...
A peaceful state of mind is better than this mess... I guess...

Stop showing these weird facts, okay? Show real history...
Damn, yes Kalinga did attack Vengi/Venki, and Cholas did a retaliation attack
That's a dispute amongst us at those times
But do you even know about Kaundinya? How he started the Funan empire in Cambodia by marrying a chieftain's daughter named Princess Soma?
Gonna ignore the fact that we celebrate 'Bali Jatra' which commemorates the trade relations with Indonesia's Bali, till date?
Stop this Tamil Nadu 1st mindset
      Goddamn separatists...
      Read real history
This video is nothing but a Chola Appeasement
This shows a terrible reality, you gotta shout so much with half baked facts and show separatism in the state in order to gain sympathy and attention
While Odisha never does it, no time for petty politics, we silently support Indian teams and sponsor them
Yet no coverage for that too
Why this discrimination against us Odias? Are we not Humans? Aren't we Indians?
I'm a proud Indian, then an Odia
For Tamils, they are proud Tamils first, then Indians
      That's the fundamental difference
And that thing is being appeased right here with half baked truth
      Fully ignoring the Funan Kingdom
Also ignoring how come Phillipines top area has the name Kalinga too...
      Horrendous

Cholas built 1000 of magnificent temples which tells the history of our culture and heritage. Such great, rich history was reduced to a page or two, where as the invaders like Akbar, Babar Alexander were given a large space in the history of India. It's the right to reinvent our history and our pride. Thank you Palki Sharma for such a great informative episode. I am your big fan, everyday I come to you tube looking for ur videos❤️

Excellent insights. I feel proud as a Human, as an Indian and as a Tamil...(in this order). Mutual respect is needed between different regions of India and between India and other nations. No need for humans to feel superior/inferior to other humans....
