That's pretty unfair to Mr. Jackman. Comparing actors to live-theatre actors is an apples to oranges situation. Yes Mr. Karimloo is probably the greatest male singer of our time, but Mr. Jackman has to bridge subtlety (close camera shots) with overall performance (his amazing charisma with other actors and script, and he's an amazing theatre actor to boot).
@@rozero123459gnh he was able to perform amazingly in the Greatest Showman, but his voice and acting in Les Mis left a lot to be desired. If you take a look at the behind-the-scenes material, you can see him saying that he didn't drink anything up to 36h before filming a scene. Do you know how damaging this is for your vocal cords? There's a reason he sounded like his voice was dying. I'm not criticizing him for everything he ever did, but in Les Mis, he could have done better
@@bugidog8457 he probably would look very ridiculous lol. But i was talkinh more for male roles. And he also is Judas on JCS. And he played in Evita but i havent watched it so idk which character
From the 1st time I ever heard this song, it has always been my prayer for my son. I think it is also the prayer of every parent whose son or daughter are away from home for whatever reason. God bless all our children no matter their ages. An thank you Ramin Karimloo for such a perfect rendition of this prayer.
Had the privilege of seeing him during his run as Valjean on Broadway. The second this song started, the floodgates opened. I adore this man and everything he does but this was on another level. My then boyfriend, now husband looked over at me like I was nuts but during the ovation after this song, he looked again at me as I was simultaneously smiling and weeping and he saw how happy I was and whispered in my ear "ok I understand why you love this guy so much" LOL
I am a huge Les Mis fan,so when I learned Les Mis was on its way to Broadway in the next few weeks, after its previews in Toronto,my friend and I took the train .I have seen Les Mis with Com Wilkinson, and many other talented Jean Valjeans performing and I had no idea who Ramin Karimloo was .When he started “bring Him Home “ with open palms as in prayer,my friend and I just looked at each other in tears. This was absolutely beyond heavenly.and like so many Ramin fans,I totally agree his voice, his heart his soul really helped us through the pandemic shut downs.Thank you .
I'm amazed I just found this. Mr. Karimloo is magificent in whatever role he does. He also appears also to be a genuinely humble, gracious and kind performer.
He is the best Val Jean & Phantom! (for anyone who doesn't know his Phantom check it out!) I got to see in NYC & his performance was incredible! I'll tell u the audience was silent when he sang, everyone just listened. He is so nice too, I met him after at the stage door!
The best💞💞💞
p e r f e c t This is the best song!!! I translated it to my language and it sounds in my head all the time. I wish I could sing it.... Ramin is great, but I can´t decide if I like him or Colm better. This song proves that parental love is a reflection of God´s love to all people. Or at least I think so.

The way Ramin sings this song is the way this song should be sang. He is perfect, but Hugh Jackman's acting was much more better in my opinion. Yes, his singing wan't the best in this song but his performance gave me much more emotion. But all in all, I love both of them
Maybe but you can't compare cinema acting with theatre acting... Two completely different methods that's why is different... In cinema cameras can do whatever they want... Stage performance are completely different and the actors have to play in a way that everyone can see them 😅😅
Hugh Jackman, take note. THIS is how this song should be sung
exactly!!!!!!! can't stress how much I agree

I remember watching this live in late June 2014. When the song was over, everyone in the theater gave him a standing ovation.
I would give anything to see that! Ramin deserves every standing ovation.

He deserved it
Don't think he "fits" the Broadway agenda. Also, he was new to Broadway.
